Second time here. First time having a coffee. I ordered the protein iced latte, not great. I don't think it was the latte per sei, I think it's just their coffee. I mean how can you go wrong with a latter? The protein cold foam was good. I just couldn't drink it - just didn't like it I ordered a breakfast wrap (without meat) They came to me and said they were out of the wrap but I couldn't order a replacement as they have nothing without meat other than bakery items. Black Rock coffee has been good except the Indian School location in Buckeye! Just threw my $7 coffee in the trash after waiting for 20 min to get it with only one customer ahead of me. I observed the short haired female barista cross contaminate things and stare off into the distance for long periods of time. Their newer location on W. Camelback is so close to my house! Its clean inside and has plenty of parking. With early morning hours and a drive thru, there is no excuse not to stop for a coffee on my way to work. My favorite is the Mexican mocha and a jalapeno bagel with cream cheese! Every time I come the coffee has been consistently good. Later in the day they start to run out of their baked goods but that's completely understandable. Service is top notch and they're always happy to answer a question with a smile. I've been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. I will keep coming back to try new drinks. This was my first time trying Black Rock Coffee Bar. I ordered a hot Mexican Mocha which has hints of vanilla , almond and cinnamon. The taste was okay, for food I ordered a plain bagel which originally I wanted the jalapeño cheddar one but they were sold out and it was 7:30am by 8:00 they also sold out of the plain one too, not sure if this is how it will be going forward or only for the opening week. The plain bagel was the best bagel I've ever had, the perfect crunch and yet so soft and tasty on the inside. I will definitely be back for some bagels next time and try a different drink. I really did love the atmosphere here my nieces came by and started Journaling - working with good music and we were able to hear each other, it's a great place to come sip on some coffee and chill or get on your laptop! read more

Love their coffee, employees are nice, the place is clean HOWEVER they like to over charge from time to time for the same drink I always get. Large iced breve with extra shot of espresso and 3 pumps sugar free hazelnut. Just checked it on the app and total was $8.31 but they charged me $9.95. A quick stop to get some morning fuel. Ordered the Frozen blended Smurf, blended with their signature fuel,blue raspberry, and watermelon syrup. However they did misinterpret my order they were quick,respectful and understanding about the situation and fixed it with no issue. Amazing!! It is soo nice to have another coffee option out here in the far west valley. Today was opening day for the coffee shop and the building looks beautiful. Staff was friendly and FAST. My drink was delicious. They also signed me up for their rewards program and got all of my information before I drove away with coffee in hand! I go every morning to this location. The staff is always friendly, nice polite and courteous. I have a very simple order. Large drip with 4 raw sugars and extra cream. They get it right about 2 times a week. This morning the drip was not made and I received the first cup out of the machine tastes like Tar. Advice ! Slow down make the coffee correctly. No hurry at 5:30am I am usually one of the first customers. Going to give it one more chance then back to SB for me. Little farther drive but the correct coffee is worth it. read more

I am so impressed by this coffee. Any time I try a coffee place (i.e. Dutch Bros or Dunkin' Donut), I always end up going back to Starbucks because other coffee house's espresso aren't as full bodied as Starbucks. But let me tell you, the Shaken Espresso is full flavored and SUPER yummy. The bagel isn't really a bagel, more like a roll, but still good. The donuts holes are a glazed cake donut and served in a cute lil cup. The sprinkle cookie is not only cute but super yummy (a little on the sweet side, but only a little). 2nd time at this location. The first time was fine. Nice clean location. This time we ordered 2 teas and a pastry, but first asked about decaf teas. The counterperson said they all are decaf and then a moment late said, no it's very lightly caffeinated. Not the end of the world but it shouldn't be something you have to guess about. Got our order and broke the pasty in half to share, but it has a long black hair baked into the pasty. Went in and they thought it was gross but really didn't seem to care too much nor did they say sorry. Asked "if I wanted another one"...I was thinking, another hairy disgusting pasty from the same batch...no thank you. Went outside and then my wife said look at our cups. The lids were covered in some kind of dust or something. Nice location and I appreciate businesses opening in Verrado, but I think this one will have to do better.
