They routinely use regular milk instead of the almond I ask for and fight me when I ask them to remake it even though I saw them pour it. I'm lactose intolerant and they put whipped cream on everything without asking. I got so tired of asking the baristas to remake the drinks that I don't bother with coffee drinks here anymore. Three stars for the ever so addicting flavored energy drinks but this place needs fresh faces who want to provide good, fast customer service. read more

I love Black Rock so my reviews may be a little biased. Their coffee is consistently good, and at a significantly lower price than say, Starbucks. No burnt coffee here! They have the staples along with fun drinks like the Jackhammer and Rockstar smoothies (and of course flavored Rockstar). Store is a drive-through only, but also has a separate window for walk-up orders. The fabulous baristas will get you through the line very quickly. I wish there was a Black Rock in Gresham so I could go more regularly! read more

YUM! I love coming here in the mornings and grabbing a large iced caramel latte. They have tons of other things to drink like smoothies, Italian sodas, or flavored energy drinks. The staff is always super friendly and energetic. Try not to go during standard coffee times due to the huge line of cars on both sides- if you do go plan about 10 minutes to make sure you're not late to your next destination. I go to this Black Rock location nearly every day that I go to work. Even though I love all Black Rock locations and the people who work there, I especially love this one. Each employee is so nice, helpful, and good at what they do. I have never received bad customer service and their coffee is also perfect every single time. No disappointment! It's hard to simply express how I felt after receiving the customer service that I had experience from Ella. I'll start with this, I was originally a dutch brother's kind of guy, but after being helped by ella I know I'll never go anywhere else to get my caffeine fix. Although this stand is definitely out of my daily routine. I know that it's just simply a must go to whenever I am near because there just isn't another place like here. From Ella's astonishing ability to empathize with me after a hard time that I've been going through to her upbringing humor that just brightens my day. She is a catch as well as a storm to be reckoned with. She truly deserves to me at the top of the food chain, or I just know she'll be onto the next greatest thing. I checked this place out a few days ago for the first time. First I'll say, coffee was excellent. With the exception of being a little hot, it was tasty. The service was another story. A young lady with dark hair and bangs in front of her face helped me. She didn't have any interest in talking in fact was nothing but rude to me. Her and another girl were making fun of the guy who ordered before me. NEVER have I experienced such rude, unprofessional, behavior at a business. While they were laughing so hard I couldn't get a word in. She handed me my drink and didn't even say anything not even "bye". I don't write reviews often but this was something that will stick with me. No plans to come back. read more

Two girls were working tonight (blonde and brunette)... I arrived at one window the same time someone else arrived at the other. (there was no lines or anyone behind us also.) they both went to that window with the other girl (assuming a friend or coworker since they both knew her). It was fine they were saying hello and visiting shortly, but they didn't say anything to me and only acknowledgement was a quick look from the brunette in my direction, and then continued telling their friend about something that happened there today and having social time. I sat there waiting for SEVERAL minutes and no effort or care was given that I was sitting waiting... I eventually had to leave because I had something else I had to get it in time... I will not be returning if this is how these teens will be dealing with customers. Thankfully Human Bean is down the street now with better service. read more

Its a shame I really like your coffee and you have opened a location right across the street in my neighborhood, My first thought was awesome I have a new place to buy coffee in the morning on my way to the bus. After one interaction with your staff I have concluded I have better places to spend my money. For a new business dealing with new customers you would think your staff would be nicer and more inviting to local customers who also have local coffee drinking friends. I don't know what it is, but the way they make their drinks here is amazing. They always make it the way I like it. They have a lot of drinks, but my favorite has to be the recovery drink after a long workout. If you're looking for a place that helps boost your energy I highly recommend the recovery drink after a workout or anything. It really gets my day going after I drink it. read more
