This place looks much bigger inside.

So my husband and I were meeting up with someone from Facebook Market place to make a purchase and the person gave us this address to meet. Anyway, after meeting them, I decided not to purchase the item...but because we were parked in front of the Chase bank and right next to the Black Walnut, we decided to try it out, since we were both hungry... We walked into the place and were greeted. The person advised that we can sit anywhere that was available and decided to sit near the front area next to their large windows. There's an out door patio area as well, which was also crowded for a Saturday mid morning/early afternoon time frame. So there's 2 ways to order...you can either use the QR Cod that's in the tables or walk up and order with someone at the podium near the kitchen area. They do advertise that they are cashless so just make sure you're aware!! The order went pretty quick and the cashier was very polite and friendly, with this being our first time here. She was able to answer a few of my questions about the menu. And to my surprise they also offer a MILITARY DISCOUNT of 10% - which many other places do not, like KATZ near Bunker Hill. Some made our order and she gave us our drinks (a coffee mug for my coffee order and 2 glasses for water. Since hubby ordered OJ, they brought that over from the bar. The food came out shortly after. I ordered the Avocado toast and Hubs ordered the Texas Breakfast. I totally forgot to take photos and devoured the food once it arrived to our table. Hubs thought that the Texas Breakfast was great and cleared his plate just as quickly as I did. We'd come here again, definitely better quality of food compared to your Dennys or Katz...but the only problem was how you order the food, weather it's ordering through the QR Code or standing in a line to order your food. There were so many servers clearing off empty plates that it almost seemed like a restaurant where someone takes your order...I guess it works for them because the entire time we were there, it was busy. All in all I would definitely come here again to try out their other breakfast and lunch options...not to mention the options of bar drinks and wines!!

Food was good. We ordered steak and eggs and Birra breakfast plate which was delicious. We sat outside in a rainy day that made our brunch more pleasant. The cappuccino is delicious The manager Nebil welcomed us to the restaurant. Very nice guy.

Parking was secured with ease during brunch hours. Very open concept with various seating options inside and exterior. Excellent customer service from the time we walked in til the time we departed. Everyone was so inviting and seemed very passionate about the customer experience. Billy and Sebastian were two individuals that stood out going above and beyond. The food was delicious and fresh, also. Ordered the healthy omelette with fruit and potatoes. It was so good I didn't get to capture it on camera. You could tell that the team here is valued by management and they have a wonderful team morale by the way they treat guests who dine here. Everyone was very knowledgeable and honest about the menu. Looking forward to visiting this location again and highly recommend it. They have food and desserts for all dietary restrictions and allergies

This is another great brunch spot in Houston! It was my first time visiting, and our waiter, Sebastian, was fantastic. He was friendly, attentive, and really made the experience enjoyable. I ordered the Big Plate, which came with three mini pancakes, two chicken sausages, a side of blueberries, and grits. I also tried the Black Walnut Old Fashioned, which was a perfect complement to the meal. I'll definitely be coming back!

This is a go to fave! I hate they've done away with the Texas Pecan coffee.... But I was still able to get a decent cup to go with my cake! 100% recommend!

I'm back! It had been a while. I'm really impressed they haven't raised their prices too much despite the crazy inflation the past few years. I had the chicken lettuce wraps, my wife had the black walnut salad. Both were great. We sat in the atrium area near the front with big windows. The staff was nice, the food came out quickly, the bathrooms were clean. This place is a well deserved Houston establishment. 5*

I always come here when I want to eat a good and not so pricey meal, in a bright space and with good service. Ambience is super friendly and comfortable.

First time here and was not disappointed. Ordered a waffle with eggs, potatoes, and chicken sausage and my bf got chicken and waffles. I came in looking for for some simple breakfast but was blown away with their breakfast food. Will definitely be back, also friendly staff just wanted to mention that.

The food itself was overall was decent. We participated in the HRW menu and started with the Ceasar salad and meatballs. The meatballs were by far the best part of the dinner. Second course was the freedom burger which was just not good to me. Very basic not flavorful and the. Fries were not enjoyable. The other entree was the short rib which was significantly better, tender, and flavorful. Then for dessert we had the bread pudding which was very basic and congealed. We also had the mini butter cake which was dry and grainy. I feel that some of our experience was due to this being HRW catered menu. I only say this because the meatballs were actually so good so I know they have better options on the menu. Unfortunately however, with the plethora of options to have in the Houston area I can't see a reason to return to this local chain.

It is tiny and packed tight inside, but they do have patio seating as well. Parking is very limited, but you can find street parking nearby. Reservations are highly recommended but walk ins are welcome. We had a few people taking care of us that night and they were all great. I was between a few items and they were very helpful in steering me in the right direction. We started off with a few bottles of wine to get the night started. From what I understand, their wine list is one of the things they are known for. Your only other option for an adult beverage is limited options of canned or bottled beers. I didn't really have a say in the wine we shared, but what we had was delicious and paired nicely with the items we ordered. For starters, we went with the highly recommended bread service. Get this! This bread was so good. I doubt they make it as ordered, but it came out like it was fresh out of the oven. It was a nice crusty bread with a fluffy interior served on a cutting board with a huge smear of miso butter. We then went with the Crispy Cauliflower which was one of my favorite dishes of the night. It was smothered in a gochujang aioli and reminded me of a general tso chicken or something. Very good. Thai Chili Rubs was next and these were so good as well. I'm a sucker for all the Asian flavor profiles and this hit that. For my entree, I ended up with the Pork Chop w/ Chutney. This was a huge chop on a layer of apple sauce and a wonderful chutney that contrasted the sweet sauce. Every layer worked well together. I will say the pork chop was just slightly over cooked, in some parts. It also came with green beans which was cooked just right. No room for dessert as we had another party to head to. Overall, I'm glad my friends picked this spot for their birthday celebration. I am now in the know about this place and will consider coming back in the future.

While we waited for our table, we grabbed drinks at the bar on the other side, which felt like the perfect way to start the evening. I don't play about service and every box you could check was executed very well here. The greeting on entry was very intentional and welcoming. The table was still pending so the hostess showed us the bar and welcomed us to wait there. The bartender greeted us with a smile. We started with wine and when the table was ready the hostess came to gather us. A server came to take our drinks over to the table for us and they transferred the tab for us. Y'all, I love not having to think for a moment lol, please guide me through an experience. Ok so we got escorted to the table and since it was for my birthday, the hostess said "I think I have the perfect birthday table for you." And she did, because we ended up with the cutest plush velvet (I think lol) booth overlooking the rest of the restaurant so we could really take in the atmosphere. Also, loved the fully open-concept kitchen. Being able to see all the action added to the experience and gave the space a lively, interactive feel. Ok back to service because Bludorn really is topping the game! Our server was sweet and was able to speak to all the menu options. He really steered me in the right direction on choices, not one miss! Occasionally other staff would pop by just to say hi and make sure we were doing well. And I just love a little attention when I'm out spending my money y'all so that sat well with me. Ok now let's talk about the main event, the food. To start they brought us their version of Parker Rolls with a garlic butter, excellent starter. For an app I got the Chilled Corn Soup with Blue Crab. It was really refreshing, the flavors were vibrant and that crab was fresh. They also did not skimp on the crab. I honestly hated that it had to come to an end. For my entrée I did the Blackened Red Snapper (removed the bacon). This dish had a black eyed pea and puree situation under the fish. It was delicious! The snapper was perfectly flaky and tender, and the flavor of the accompanying puree was reminiscent of my mom's black eyed pea stew with bold flavors. The only thing was that I wanted the portion to be a little bigger, just made me sad is all lol. We also ordered the creamed spinach because they said it's one of their best sides and y'all it was so rich and velvety, it practically melted in my mouth! Now since it was my bday they brought out a cute chocolate dessert and had Happy Birthday written on the plate. I love details, it's going to get me every time. My friend got the salmon and said that it was "ok, nothing super special." She did love her shrimp app though. When we were ready for the check they brought out a cute postcard and the check was on the back. I thought that was so different, like finding a way to make the check cute is a talent lol. Also, for our left overs, they brought us little gold number plates, which we took to the front when leaving to claim our to-go bags. I thought this was very sophisticated, keeping the table clear in case you want to continue with drinks and convo, etc. Overall, the ambiance was warm, intimate, elevated, and effortlessly a vibe. Definitely the kind of place that feels perfect for date night or a cute dinner out with the girls. Would I go again? Of course, and I wouldn't think twice. As a matter of fact I'm making resys for brunch within the next few weeks. I plan to keep Bludorn in my rotation because when a place does it right you keep them close. I know Yelp does an overall star rating, but I'm going to start breaking my reviews down to show how I rate the different elements. Aesthetic or environment 5/5 Service 5/5 Food 4.5/5

Good God Nadine's is closing at the end of May because their building is being sold. Nothing like a closing announcement to motivate me to go try a place. My friend made a reservation for inside dining, but it wasn't necessary. When we arrived, we were told we could sit wherever. It was pretty chilly inside so we opted for a booth on their covered patio. They also have an uncovered patio, however it was empty because it was raining. Parking is pretty adequate, especially for the Heights. Their lot is divided into three sections. The main entrance is through the uncovered patio. I didn't catch our server's name, but he was really nice and made good recommendations. The staff overall was super nice and very attentive. They did a great job of keeping water glasses full which I always appreciate. My friend and I both had the Paradise Smashburger and added Beef Tallow Fries. The burger had a double patty and it was so delicious! The patties had the crispy edges as a smashburger should and it was very filling and flavorful. The fries were good, especially with the aioli that we requested on the side. The food was amazing! The cocktails on the other hand fell a little short. I really wanted a Key Lime Pie Martini but they took it off the menu a few months ago so I ended up ordering The Houstonian. The Butterfly Pea infused gin caught my attention. What didn't catch my attention was the star anise. I don't really care for this spice and it had a prominent taste in the cocktail. I don't like to send drinks back so I kept it, but if I were to order it again, I would order it without the star anise because I enjoyed the other flavors in the drink. I also had the Pearadise with gin. I enjoyed the peach puree, but it was a bit tart. A little simple syrup would have helped to balance out the flavors. I'm glad that my friend and I were able to dine at GGN before they close. I'm hoping that they'll reopen in another location because I really enjoyed the food and the laid back vibe.

Most people sat in that area, so we sat in a side booth there instead. It was comfy like patio cushions. We opted for that instead of the iron seats. Service was great. We ordered the Paradise smashburgers (mine without shredded lettuce) and added the hand cut beef tallow fries ($19). I asked for the aioli on the side, as well. I thought the burger was great. The meat had great flavor and was juicy. I liked the pickles. Compared to other photos I've seen where it was too much bread, my burger had a great bun to meat ratio. I added some ketchup and the aioli. The fries were great, but I wish I didn't get the tiny or small bits of fries compared to my friend's full cut fries. They had two non-alcoholic drink options, and I tried them both. The strawberry refresher was made with Seedlip, housemade strawberry syrup, lime, and soda. I preferred this one over the Palm Springs one because it had better flavor. The Palm Springs has coconut water, cane syrup, pineapple, soda, and toasted coconut. It wasn't what I expected it to taste. It was bland and was mostly coconut water and soda. It lacked the pineapple flavor to add sweet and tart notes. It wasn't sweet at all and also didn't have toasted coconut on top. It had a tiny snippet of maybe the end of a pineapple leaf that was browning? Not good. I took it off. Sad to see this place go. It is pretty nice inside and out. I enjoyed the smashburger compared to Burger Bodega down the street. The NA drinks could use some more love. I wish I would've tried the bread pudding! Totally forgot and was also full.

The service was 10/10, food was amaaaazing. We looked at other reviews before going and went with an app we didn't hear much about, but an entree that we did hear amazing things about. Appetizer: everyone talks about the dilly bread but honestly, the puff puff pass sounded better, esp the scotch bonnet aioli. 10/10 loved the flavors together, esp the fried bread with the aioli Entrees: we had the pork belly special and the nono's pasta. Everyone raves about the pasta and rightfully so. The noodles with the right amount of bolognese was such a flavorful comfort food. The pork belly was also delicious but the pasta hit better. Dessert: of course i had to get both! We got the famous olive oil cake and their banana rum cheesecake. We didnt taste much banana unfortunately but the cheesecake was tasty. But olive oil cake takes the cake! This place is a must to try in Houston.

Had a 5:30pm resy, seated outside right away that Saturday evening--it was a full house 45 minutes later. You'd be a fool to skip the dilly bread--a complete fool! The rolls are pillowy and warm. I could eat the butter by the pint. The fingerlinging potato dish is also a must have...pretty small for $19 but tastes like heaven. Spicy! Zaddy was being a bit of a clutz that evening and knocked over my $20 mezcal cocktail, so what does he do? Orders me another one! (That's why he's "zaddy") ....kind of wish he hadn't...so wasn't worth the price tag. Skip it. The chicken dinner was definitely the winner--fresh, juicy breast, crispy skin...don't be cute, you won't finish it unless your party has at least 4 in it! The flies were ruthless! Very annoying! They were acting like the geekers that come bother you just outside your favorite fried chicken joint in south Dallas! Our waitress brought out a table fan so that made the experience a little more tolerable. The chocolate peanut butter pie tasted like a salt rock and the lemon chiffon pie had great flavor but not lemony enough for me. All in all this place is a bit pricey but truly a gem! Until next time, Nobie!

My only caveat is that I've never been here without having to wait in a long line to order. It's popular for a reason though. Food wise, I'm a fan of their burger, crab cakes, house chopped salad, and you can't come here without getting their famous chocolate chip cookies. I honestly wouldn't judge anyone who comes here just for cocktails, good vibes, and chocolate chip cookies. They are always warm, gooey, and the right amount of chocolate chips. Cheers!

I convinced some friends who had never been, that while it may be pricey- it is one of the best places to get a home made biscuit and be amongst the greenery! Little did I know- THE BISCUITS ARE NOW FROZEN. F R O Z E N. B I S C U I T S. Whoever is responsible for this needs to be arrested. I was heartbroken and embarrassed. I won't be going back for the overpriced salad and sad biscuits and I will be warning everyone I know about the travesty that has happened at this once reputable establishment. It's still fine don't get me wrong, but there are so many other options I will be recommending where the quality matches the price. Whoever did this better leave Tinys milk and cookies alone.

The crab Benedict was light (not super heavy like some Benedict's) and the steak was perfectly cooked! I believe we were not the only party/group this happened to. Also, my friend was sitting under an AC vent and the AC water kept dripping on her. Aside from this, our server was great and he was doing his best as I do feel they were understaffed. The food was not bad. They have a good selection for Houston restaurant week. We did get compensated which was appreciated. I've been to Savoir 2 times before way back and the wait was never an issue. Our group was thinking of going to an ice cream shop after but our girls night ended being cut short as we had to wait to be seated and get our food. In the end, the food was good but was I'm not sure if it was worth an hour and 15 min wait.
