Cute little stand. They were friendly and the store was clean. The menu was standard coffee house. They have a couple options of breakfast sandwiches.

Item(s) ordered: 6 donuts--toffee, S'mores, chocolate sprinkle, everything bagel, blackbird, raspberry-coconut The review: Came back to my favorite spot, Blackbird Doughnuts. We bought 6 for my coworker's going-away brunch (hence the various toothpicks in the photo with "good luck" in different languages). These donuts are fresh and delicious with interesting flavors that cater to vegans as well. The servers are kind, the place is a cute counter-serve. Love Blackbird!

Coconut lemon and winter citrus doughnuts
    Sharyn L.

My sister picked up a couple doughnuts to share. Our group of four foodies all enjoyed them. They have a doughnut of the day that is half priced (and not well advertised!) so definitely worth considering that option! We tried the lemon coconut and the winter citrus. I don't normally like coconut but I really enjoyed the lemon doughnut!

This is my favorite donut in Boston!! The donuts are super light and fluffy, with a bunch of fun and exciting flavors to try out. This location is pretty small without any seating, but there is a small bench outside if you just want a quick place to stop and scarf down your donut. There's a cute display case inside where all of the available flavors are displayed. I love the little letter beads spelling out the types donut. I had the matcha strawberry crumble, chocolate/vanilla ice cream donut, and the triple chocolate. They were all so good but my favorite was probably the chocolate/vanilla ice cream donut, which had crumbled wafer cone bits on it. The donuts were still light and fluffy, even at the end of the day. This is a fun donut spot to grab a snack, and I'm looking forward to seeing their new flavors next time I'm in the area.

    Raspberry Hibiscus Mint Tea doughnut

Perfectly light and airy doughnuts that melt in your mouth. The raspberry hibiscus mint tea special was such an inventive, balanced flavor that I really enjoyed. Side note: I also had a great conversation with their team after sharing a photo on Instagram from my experience and love to see the responsive, great customer service!

    Lavender lemon filled donut

Cute little coffee and donut spot in Beacon Hill. This lavender lemon donut was delicious. Top 10 best things I've ever eaten. My husband got an iced latte- not bad. My iced lavender lemon matcha was horrible. Not mixed at all- way too much matcha. Didn't get any lavender or lemon- but that could've been disguised by the dry balls of matcha I kept sucking up. Definitely get donuts, maybe get coffee someplace else.

    Everything Bagel Donut

Was in town visiting Boston for the first time so I had to make sure I got a donut from here before I left. There were so many unique flavors and options, it was definitely hard trying to pick one. I decided to go with the Everything Bagel donut and I loved it! I usually don't like anything overwhelmingly sweet, but this donut was perfect. The donut had a plain bagel base with everything bagel spice, and there was a cream cheese filling in the middle which was super yummy! I walked since this place was walking distance from my hotel, but there is a lot of street parking nearby for those who are further.

So. These donuts are great but suffer from "just give me a donut" reaction from me. Cuz I don't need special recipes. LOL. They are FANCY and made of a brioche dough. It reminds me of the cronut concoction that Dunkin had, but less sweet. The texture isn't donut texture!! But, it was a good pastry masquerading as a donut. The staff was very nice and patient with my dumb questions. The coffee was good. Still no sitting inside when i was there, but it's really a grab and go spot anyway.

I always say I don't like donuts, and that is until I go by/someone offers Blackbird! For the longest time I had just given up eating donuts because I felt that they really all tasted the same and weren't anything special. Blackbird changed my mind on that. In fact, now I often crave these donuts. I can't pick a favorite exactly because they're always changing but I have to say one that stuck out to me was the Jalapeño Cheddar donut. Loved it! Savory donuts are something I never see, so this one caught my curiosity and I am still thinking about it. Really great balance of flavors, just like the rest of them but again just so different and something you can't just find anywhere. Highly recommend!!

Arrived at the location at 9am on a Saturday. To our amazement, There were no lines! The Location was tight in spacing. There was a variety of different donuts and drink options. We got the apple fritter and the Boston cream. Both were fresh and delicious!

This is actually what the single donuts look like when placed in a cheap bag

At least think about the packaging for an expensive donut - removing a star for that. Otherwise donuts are good here. Glad I declined the $2 tip request.

If you love donuts and are in the Boston area , please come here. They don't have ur average regular donuts ... they have fluffy; moist and awesome flavors you don't see everyday. I would call them a specialty donut shop. The hours are short ... I believe close at 3. The donuts are about $3.50 each but with tax $3.75 each. Worth it though. I wish they had some samples though so you could try more flavors.

Awful donuts and super expensive. Don't go here!! I spent $45 for a dozen and they were the worst donuts I have ever had.

I've heard folks raving about this place for years, so finally decided to swing by and try it out…read more First off, must say I'm a bit of a skeptic regarding specialty ice cream shops: with one exception (a now-defunct "frozen custard" shop in Friendswood, Texas of all places, where you could see the super-dense/rich stuff glacially oozing out of the machine, and one milkshake's worth of it kept me full for the rest of the day!) I have yet to find any that are significantly better than ordinary Haagen Daz from a supermarket. In fact, most ice cream parlour ice creams aren't even as good, while costing orders of magnitude more than supermarket H-D! Toscanini's is close to equal to H-D in my book...and mainly for the fact that they offer some truly unusual and original flavors: we had the Mango Sticky Rice, Burnt Caramel, and Kulfi. My friend who enjoyed the first one the most, quickly tired of the second, and the third was my favorite by far, mainly because I love cardamom and saffron so much. I was somewhat conflicted with the Burnt Caramel...first taste was delightful, but halfway through the novelty faded away for the most part. We both appreciated that the ice cream was not hyper-sweet like JP Licks, though. HOWEVER, the extreme creaminess, density, and dry mouth-feel of H-D was just not there, as usual. I'd describe the texture of Toscanini's ice cream to be fairly ordinary, like a typical soft/smooth gelato texture. Not bad, but not anything I would really write home about. YMMV of course. Otherwise, service was good and the place is clean and pleasantly modern inside, with 3 nice new steel benches to sit at outside. The benches are curiously turned AWAY from the street, I suppose to foster more of a "communal" vibe and people-watching opportunities. I've walked by during peak hours and seen it quite full, so this place clearly is still quite popular. At $8.25 for 3 scoops (albeit fairly generous sized scoops) of oh, 8 out of 10 ice cream, I don't see myself ever becoming a regular here despite the undeniably interesting/unique flavors, unless I came mainly for the people-watching opps on a nice weather day.

I've also made a customized version of the demogorgon to add caramel core and fudge sauce. You mostly taste the toppings more than the actual ice cream. The demogorgon is great for the chocolate on chocolate craving. I didn't like the Vader as much because the frosting on top is too sweet. Cannolis and cream I subbed the Oreo frosting with their homemade whip. Their whip doesn't taste like anything sadly and their frosting is overpowering. I probably wouldn't get this again since all you taste is the chocolate chips and a hint of Oreo. The yogurt itself was bland. For the blueb sundae I love the fresh blueberries, pudding and crumb topping. It's very nice for a fruit ice cream just wish the ice cream was more flavorful. Order online for easier pickup as there is only 1 screen to take orders at and no seating inside. Quick service. Has picnic tables outside to sit and not too bad to find parking on the street. Has some little tables but limited and twinkly lights at night. Staff seemed very stressed when people crowd around and needs better organization of the pickup area vs ordering vs waiting to avoid this frustration/rudeness from the staff.
