Coffee cake blondie, peach and cookie dough cupcakes ($16)
    Rachel S.

I almost missed finding this place because it is tucked on the side of Boston Public Market near the water fountain/restrooms. As someone with a sweet tooth, I was excited to try their vegan array of baked goods, and ended up getting a peach cupcake, cookie dough cupcake, and coffee cake blondie (total $16). The cupcake was quite sweet and dense, and after a long work out, it was just the treat that I needed. The coffee cake blondie didn't have a strong coffee flavor, but it was still quite good and had a nice crumbly topping. I think since the products are also gluten free, they don't have the soft fluffy structure of other desserts. I didn't mind it though and will be recommending this place to my friends who are curious to branch out!

Very good options that are priced nicely. Very rare to find a facility that is fully vegan and gluten-free.

Was craving donuts on the way home from work, I popped in and the cupcakes easily caught my eye. Didn't know it was vegan, which explains the not so sugary taste in the chocolate chip cookie. The Red Velvet's frosting was nice and sweet though. The Boston Creme was hard to taste because my cupcakes got hard during the train ride home (not their fault, it was very cold that night). I thought I ordered a 4th item, but guess the staff couldn't hear me under my layers. Oh well, it's on the way home, so I look forward to trying more things!

Had the most delicious vegan panini from the shop at Boston Public Market! The girl working there was super friendly and helped make recommendations on the menu. The desserts looked delicious as well. Love that the entire menu is so allergen friendly. Highly recommend!

Mom of kids with multi ana-allergies, so been wanting to try this place for a long time! It wasn't clear where this place was, on the website... Super convenient if taking the T. Public market is right next to the Haymarket T stop. Turn right at the entrance and walk straight down to the last stand. Arrived shortly before noon on a Friday. Bummed they ran out of the sausage sandwich, so tried the Bbq Jack. A 10min wait to heat up. Kids didn't prefer the bbq flavor but still ate a good portion. I liked it. Crazy it is jackfruit! The birthday blondie is really good. We would def get again. Kids also really liked the chocolate donut and cupcake (but both a bit too dense/cakey for me). I think the chocolate frosting/drizzle really won them over. Happy to get it again for kiddos. A pass for the pricey strawberry cannoli. Wished I got something different... a good try and effort. None of us liked it, but really depends on preferences. The chocolate dip on it was good. Waffle part was a bit too dense, hard and chewy. like others said, filling is more like frosting. It had an odd aftertaste. The texture is close, but lacked any savory cheesy flavor you'd expect. I wish they'd put the cleaning supplies away... but I still give it a 4star as it's a rare gem and positive normalizing experience for the kids. We have not found any other bakery shop that can be completely top 9allergen free, where kiddos could order whatever they wanted without worrying about a life threatening reaction. More places like this are needed. Also, employee was sweet and friendly.

I've stopped at Jennifer Lee's a few times and there is a good variety of tasty treats. My only real complaint is the person working the counter didn't know much about ingredients.

A very good all vegan bakery. In the Boston Public Market you can get all kinds of plant based sweets. Jennifer Lee's is just one of the doughnut places in here, but this one is better because it's all vegan. Get other treats like brownies and cookies. The prices aren't that bad for this. It also prides itself on being allergen free. Products don't contain gluten. They of course have no dairy either so it's good for all kinds of dietary needs and preferences. Friendly and helpful employees know a lot about the ingredients. Prices are okay considering it's a specialty thing. It's $3.50 for a doughnut. These come in many flavors including cinnamon and mocha. A good bakery for anyone who has allergies. It's completely dairy and gluten free. There's a good amount of variety.

I wanted to try one of everything, but I settled on the blueberry donut and a chocolate cupcake. I was in town for the Boston marathon so the cupcake had 26.2 on top. So cute! Great for vegans.

Amazing vegan and gluten free deserts! I always stop here when in Boston. This time I got an apple cinnamon cupcake, and a strawberry strudel type pastry. Both were excellent, the texture was really on point too which can sometimes be a problem for gluten free stuff. Would recommend going when they first open for freshest things.

She was so excited when she found Cafe Bonjour because they had several gluten-free options on the menu. We took an Uber there right after we landed and were able to walk right in and get a table when they opened, which worked out perfectly because the place started to fill up! It's a cute little spot with plenty of seating inside, and they also had a nice outdoor parklet that would be great in good weather. We asked to sit at the bar so we could watch the cooks in action, which was really fun. The menu had all the classic breakfast favorites like eggs and French toast, along with some lunch options like hamburgers and chicken wraps. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the gluten-free eggs benedict and absolutely loved it. I had the Bonjour omelet, and it was delicious. Overall, this is a fantastic breakfast spot with great food, a fun atmosphere, and solid gluten-free options.

Waiter didn't bring out water, didn't offer any cream or sugar for coffees, and was difficult to flag down to ask for extra plates/utensils. The inside is quite cramped and we were shoved into a tiny little corner. Overall a meh place for brunch. The appeal is the convenience of the location. Other than that I'd stop somewhere else for a brunch.

While the menu is entirely vegetarian with many vegan options, it feels approachable whether you are looking for a healthy lunch, a filling dinner, or just a smoothie or coffee. We walked into the Back Bay location, which has a bright, inviting interior filled with natural light, plants, and plenty of seating, creating a calm atmosphere that feels more like a neighborhood café than a typical fast-casual restaurant. The design is modern and clean, with a warm energy that makes it the kind of place where you can enjoy a meal at your own pace, meet a friend, or even spend some time working. The grain and noodle bowls are the main reason to visit. They are built around fresh vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and flavorful sauces that make each bowl feel substantial without being overly heavy. We appreciated that every ingredient tasted fresh, and the different textures kept each bite interesting. The spicy peanut noodles are one of the standout dishes, combining chewy noodles with crisp vegetables and a rich, savory sauce that has just enough heat without overwhelming the rest of the flavors. The falafel is another solid choice, with a crispy exterior and soft interior that pairs well with the fresh vegetables and creamy sauces. Beyond the bowls, there is a good variety of options depending on what you are in the mood for. The menu includes açaí bowls, salads, wraps, soups, smoothies, fresh juices, and coffee, making it easy to stop by at almost any time of day. The menu also changes with seasonal ingredients, giving returning visits some variety while still keeping the café's focus on fresh, healthy food. Even if you are not vegetarian, the meals are filling enough that they never feel like they are missing anything. The café itself has a relaxing atmosphere that encourages you to stay a while. The modern design, abundance of plants, and comfortable seating make it feel much more welcoming than many grab-and-go lunch spots in the area. The ordering process is straightforward, and the staff were friendly throughout our visit. During busier lunch hours, food can take a little longer to prepare since everything is made to order, so keeping that in mind is worth it if you are on a tight schedule. The seating area stays comfortable even when the café fills up, and the energy of the room remains calm and focused. Life Alive Organic Cafe stands out because it proves that healthy food can still be satisfying and full of flavor. The fresh ingredients, diverse menu, and comfortable atmosphere make it an easy place to return to whether you are looking for a quick lunch, a lighter dinner, or simply a break from heavier meals. If you are in Back Bay and want a meal that feels nourishing without sacrificing taste, this is a café well worth adding to your list.

It was PACKED when I got there, so I understand what creates a long wait if you order in person. The space itself is very pretty and colorful which I liked a lot. The food. It was...meh. It was really chewy and gritty. I got the eggplant and mushroom bowl. I am saying this as someone who loves eggplants and mushrooms, they were just ok. It was kinda goopy, and then being paired with the crispy rice it was just a weird mouth feel. As for the flavor- they drowned it in that sauce which overpowered everything. The price point is really good for lunch in boston, but honestly I wouldn't get it again.

The ordering experience was a little odd, but the food came out very quickly. I got the truffle ramen with the spicy broth, and it was very good (which was not really spicy, simply well seasoned), and quite filling. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. One of us got the non-spicy broth, and she noted that she thought the spicy broth was better (and again, not truly spicy at all), so I'd just keep that in mind when ordering. I also got the truffle mac & cheese, which I was pleasantly surprised by! It was pretty good, and came with some sort of delectable crunchies on top which I was obsessed with. I haven't had much ramen since I became vegan, so I don't really have any other vegan ramen to compare it to, but it's certainly some of the best I've had so far.
