Not sure if the lack of other customers contributed to the depressing atmosphere but we were seated in the larger dining section and it felt a little haunted. The food was just not very good, it pains me to say. Another review mentioned how the dishes did not seem to be prepared with any love or effort, which I agree with. The patatas bravas, a mainstay of any tapas menu, was perhaps the worst offender: undercooked, roughly cut chunks of potato with a messy drizzle of tomato sauce on top. Not sure how you mess that up. The bread used on the side of our spicy garlic shrimp was stale and cold. The toasted crostini with Iberian ham was an utter mess for a $19 dish - crudely sliced ham layered on top, making it impossible to take a bite without the ham sliding off; very tough, chewy bread. And the portion sizes were miniscule for the regular price (they do a HH special with $5 tapas which is a way better deal). The creme brulee was way too heavy on the cinnamon and amaretto. Our waitress was sweet and the food came out quickly, so giving some points for that. Parking: They offer a parking voucher for the Whole Foods around the corner; it's a minor pain to have to traverse that particular intersection to put the voucher in your car and then back to the restaurant but free parking is such a rarity in Boston so I'll take it.

We walked into a relaxed space with a mix of dine-in seating and bar seating, making it easy for both quick stops and longer meals. The interior has a comfortable, unpretentious energy that fits the style of the food, and the layout accommodates both small groups and solo diners without feeling cramped. The pizza is the main highlight. The crust has a thin, crisp texture while still keeping a nice chew, giving the slices a good balance that holds up well against the toppings. The specialty pizzas are where OTTO stands out, especially combinations like hot honey with cup-and-char pepperoni and goat cheese, which bring together spicy, sweet, and savory flavors in a way that feels intentional rather than gimmicky. The more unusual options, like seasonal pizzas, are worth trying if you want something beyond a standard slice. We also appreciated that there are options for different preferences, including gluten-free crust, and the menu has enough variety that groups can easily find something they enjoy, whether they prefer classic toppings or more adventurous combinations. Beyond pizza, they also offer other menu items and drinks, including craft beers that pair well with the food. The atmosphere depends on where you sit. The dining area is casual and comfortable, while the bar seating works well if you are stopping in for slices. One thing to note is that the ordering setup can differ depending on where you sit, so the experience may feel slightly different between the bar and table service areas. The staff handled the flow efficiently, and the pace of the meal stayed comfortable. OTTO is a solid pizza spot that stands out because of its creative combinations and consistent quality. The thin crust, interesting toppings, and relaxed atmosphere make it a place worth returning to when looking for pizza that feels a little different from the usual options.

Durn burn good. Wide variety of pizzas and all are tasty. Not the pinnacle of pizza perfection but…read moresolidly delicious. Not the easiest place to grab parking and then get the pizza - we had to opt for one person drive around the block and the other grab the pizzas. Crust has a good texture and worth munching on its own. Not as airy and light as the best but still - very good. Ingredients high quality and the inner pizza avoided the dread soggy flop that's all too common. So - no doubt worth a visit.
