I booked this dinner for experience and because it was labeled fine dining. I have to say the bar felt really short for fine dining and the cost of the experience. When I say there are things that were executed very well, there were, other simpler techniques completely missed the mark. Experience: this is a one and done for me. We had an absolute blast. I brought my daughter as part of a mystery trip for Christmas, she is 16. We both found ourselves enjoying the dark, we thoroughly enjoyed the music selection, and the experience of eating with all of our senses. As foodies we were able to pick up notes on almost all dishes by smell alone. Customer Service: Sara was our server. Sara was engaging, pleasant, made great drinks, delighted us with her service!! Sara did a great job!! Food: I'm big on technique, without giving the secret menu away, I found myself extremely disappointed with temperature, fry technique, and a few other things. Items that were supposed to be served as hot food items were cold, not room temp, cold, no one wants to eat an entree style hot dish cold. Any item that is supposed to be fried should have a crispy texture, not be saturated in grease and if a finger food it should not fall apart from sogginess when picked up. We were also served a cold item, one that I happen to absolutely love it should be seasoned, and have a slight bite to it, it was complete bland mush in the mouth. These things made a huge difference in the enjoyability of the meal. Flavors: For the most part there was a balance of flavors using acid, fat, salt, and heat.. I found somethings to be off texturally, and the flavor didn't even matter. Would we return: No this is a one and done for me. These are basics that a home cook and my 16 year old can nail on the mark when cooking. It was quite the expensive meal to miss these basics cooking techniques.

What an AMAZING experience! If you want to experience something outside the box as you dine in totally darkeness with a mystery seven course meal I highly recommend this dining experience ! The chef is absolutely fabulous and the food was incredibly delicious! 5 STARS all the way!!!

The whole experience was amazing and the food was top-notch, as if you were at a restaurant that specialize in each one of the dishes. Our server (Breezy) made the experience even better. We are getting married tomorrow in Vegas and this was part of our bachelor/bachelorette party so we are really happy that we have to experience such a great place!!

I always wanted to go here. My friend was grateful for my help so he took us out here, my husband and I. There were 3 of us. This restaurant is one of a kind here in Vegas. I do not know if another of this kind exist here in Vegas. This restaurant is only open limited hours at night. I was told that you need a reservation. They sometime has a discount in Groupon but my friend booked online and paid full price. We can only take picture outside. We are not allowed to take pictures or bring our phones inside. They have lockers outside before you enter their black out dark restaurant. Our waitress was super helpful Guiding us inside and outside the restaurant into the lobby waiting area. There were a couple of groups who were leaving before we enter and all of them enjoyed their experiences. There about 7 course meals. Staff will ask you for any allergies. All their dishes were flavorful. Supposedly they change their menu 3 times a year. I would want to go back again here when they change their menu. Definitely I recommend trying this restaurant at least once.

this everything you can see while eating in the dining room.

Superb experience. the way everything was presented, was done to perfection. As not knowing what to expect, they gave you just enough information to ease the mind, but still kept it a surprise. like the simple instructions on where to feel for things in the dark. The food was outstanding, everything was well described and completely delicious, down to every detail. Our 7 course meal was paired very lovely, and completely complemented very well. The setting was in complete darkness, after a bit of time, your other senses start to enhance themselves. you could hear a lot of what was going on around you, but not overwhelming what so ever. I would definitely recommend this experience to a foodie looking for something complete different than your normal restaurant experience.

E-vre-THANG was awesome. I was full by the 4th course. The food was very well seasoned. Angie, our waitress, was the best. It was dark-dark. My friends and I found it very intriguing trying to figure out wha we were eating. I would DEFINITELY do this again. I can't think of any another experience that compares. Great birthday treat. PS. the lady at the front desk,so mad I forgot her name, pleasant, friendly and very professional. 10/10 completely recommend.

BLACKOUT Dining in the Dark Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - BLACKOUT Dining in the Dark

    Do we need reservations?

I'd advise to make a booking with them rather then just turning up, it sounded very busy in there.

Around how much per person do we need to spend?

    Approx 125/ person

How long is the dinner experience?

It varies! But around 90 minutes is the average I'd say.

    Are reservations necessary?

    Yes

If there is no menu how do you know if you're eating according to your diet? I'm vegetarian and I need to be assured I won't be served meat.

    It is all plant based

Can you see your plate, glass, & utensils? is it difficult to dine? i tend to be a klutz

No it's completely blacked out as if your eyes were closed. Not just a dark room, it's literally like you can't see you hand in front of your face. The servers instruct to you where your utensils and plates are and when it's time to eat + which… Read more

What if we don't like what is being served? Do they offer a different option?

No it's about 7 courses. You don't know what you're eating til the end. If you don't like it. You don't eat it and wait for the next. They will ask and avoid any allergens

Do they tell you what the courses are? And how can you see see your utensils and glass to pick up?

Yes, but only after you've headed back to the waiting area. Your waiter will direct you to where everything is & you just feel around.

Is the entire menu plant based?

It's a vegan menu. Everything was very tasty. I left stuffed.

Can you serve 9 people group?

Yes, my party was larger and they served us. Just purchase your tickets on the LV website, then call the restaurant to make your reservation.

Do we get the deposit back if we show up?

They credit the deposit to your bill:

This is strictly a vegan place?

    Absolutely 💯 percent vegan

Can I bring my 14 year old daughter here for her birthday or is it adults only?

Yes hah, you cant see anyone anyways.

Is tip included in the price?

    No it is not

What if you have to use the bathroom during the meal? I heard that you have to be escorted? I have stomach issues and sometimes need to use it during a meal.

Yes, you raise your hand and they will escort you out of the room

How often does the menu change?

Upon checkout, we were told every 7 months.

What type of food do they serve?

It's tasty vegetarian food. The vegetarian aspect took us by surprise, but the experience outweighed the lack of meat.

Does anyone recommend lunch over dinner or vice versa?

I had lunch and I couldn't finish every course. I think dinner has more courses. I chose the lunch option because it was less expensive than dinner.

Where can I find a food menu? What type of food do they serve?

There is no menu. It is all a secret. That's almost the whole point of the experience.

Is it vegetarian ? Very confused my husband likes meat haha

My husband likes meat too and we almost passed on this experience because we were slightly concerned we may leave hungry....but that was not the case at all! We were served multiple courses and everything was delicious. We both left feeling full,… Read more

My kids were getting restless and didn't care to wait so they decided to go on anyway. The ride is supposed to last for 10 mins but they were only at the top for only 2-3 mins. The guy on the ride felt bad and told my wife and kids they could stay on since they were only on it for a couple mins but the lady who was working the line and operating the ride ushered them off as quick as she could. When my wife asked for an explanation why their ride was cut short, she said they promised a bunch of people they would get to go on and see the fireworks and that they wouldn't fit. She also said she spoke to her in a very condescending way. The rest of the main experience again in the main building was pretty awesome. Arcade was great, VR attractions were fun. This last interaction was just a really bad way to end the night.

I had noticed the…read morenews article for Diversion Amusements back in March 2021 and thought it would be a great place to go! I had booked a table for 2, for approximately $160.00, $80 a ticket, close to the center stage at Diversion Amusements. I wasn't sure what to expect when arriving there. Diversion Amusements is located near Arville/Tropicana area. It has a private parking lot with dedicated spots for Diversion Amusements. As soon as you walk in, the music is loud and the night lights were glowing! You provided your tickets at the register and checked in. The host walked us to our a table. The table had plenty of tapas plates, napkins, waters, and our first course of appetizers, chips/hot salsa. All around inside Diversion Amusements are pinball machines and arcade games. They have a few arcade games that are those 100 in 1, where you can choose the type of game you want to play such as Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Galaga, and much more! All of the arcade and pinball games are free within Diversion Amusements. The Pinball themed games range from Stranger Things, Ghost Busters, Tron, and much more! There is also a virtual golf game too! There is a open bar inside Diversion Amusements. All tables are situated with low table seating in the front and high tables in the back. When you purchase tickets, you can buy a max of 4 seats per table. We ended up sitting at table 2, right next to the TV and Speakers. Next time, I'd probably purchase seats further back. The music was loud sitting right in-front of the speakers and towards the end of the 3rd quarter game, my neck was slightly hurting from looking up at the screen. The event was a lot of fun. It was a 6 course meal through the game. Two courses came out per each quarter of the Vegas Golden Knights game. The first quarter consisted of the chips/salsa with hot sauce. Just note, you only get one appetizer per table, per 2 seats. If you need more food, you can request it. The next appetizer was the meatballs. The meatballs were relatively small. Lots of marinara and green onions on-top of the meatballs. It wasn't too loaded with spices either. Luckily, the VGK team scored a few points! Soda and water is all inclusive with the tickets. On the second quarter, during the game, a salad was served "shake it up!" style. A fiesta ranch salad with Chopped Romaine, Black Beans, Roasted Corn, Jicama & Multicolored bell peppers. A poppy seed dressing was accompanied with the salad. I passed on the salad, but my partner enjoyed it. The next item out was the smoked brisket & cheese quesadilla. This was flour tortillas filled with shredded smoked brisket, cheddar & white cheese blend, fresh cilantro & diced onions, drizzled with Smoky Aioli. Ending the quarter, was the grape tomato & pearl mozzarella skewer, or caprese. It was garnished with Sliced cucumber and finished with a garlic cilantro pesto. The team members were quite attentive, constantly filling up drinks and asking if we needed anything else during our visit at Diversion Amusements. Whenever the golden knights scored, the sound would go off, just like if you were at the Golden Knights game! The lightly was amazing inside Diversion Amusements. Wrapping up the Golden Knights game in the 3rd quarter, was the Chili Dog. 100% beef hot dog in a toasted poppyseed bun, complemented with homemade chili, shredded cheese blend, Pico de Gallo, & cilantro lime crema. I had opted out and asked if they could make a plain hot dog due to dietary restrictions. My partner really enjoyed the chili dog though. The dessert was a warm caramel filled churro, served with homemade whipped cream. It was good. This was an amazing experience at Diversion Amusements. I would come here again!

I still paid full price for everything despite being let in late to setup and feeling flustered/rushed. There will be people who rent their own office space coming in and out. They have access to the space and amenities as much as you do, so as long as you're okay with that, then it should be fine.
