Pulled Pork Poutine
Jennifer D.

We went for lunch and the service was good, and so was the food. The poutine was really good and so was the crispy chicken Caesar salad. We got one of the fire pit tables and it was so warm and good people watching.

Just stopped in for some quick bites after riding, the poutine , pizza and chicken really hit it.

I stopped in for a lunch with family after riding Whistler mountain. The food was great and our server was super chill and on point, we appreciated the service! It was pretty chill while I was her but this is a Monday at noon. The overall vibe seemed like this place is ready to party!

I would technically rate this place 3.5 stars. The location is right at the base of the mountain so it's a plus. They have really pretty fire pit tables outside but only give it to parties 5 and over. We (party of 2) requested for a fire pit table and was seated a different table outside. When we asked for a normal heater, they mentioned they ran out of heaters, but still had 2-3 fire pit tables open... Our waitress was very nice though! We got "the blacks" burger and a lobster roll with a side of coleslaw. Lot of lobster in the roll which I appreciated. My only complain was the roll it itself (just the bread part) was so tiny it barely held the lobster. I also wouldn't loved to see some light brown toast color on the exterior. Other than that, averagely good place!

Came here twice on our trip because we loved it so much! The Ned Flander's drink might genuinely be my favorite drink of all time - sweet espresso martini with a perfect toasted marshmallow. I dream of it still. The Short Rib Poutine and Fish and Chips are also great. Pizza is ok, not my favorite on the menu. See you on our next trip to Whistler!

Chicken tender wee cooked to perfect! They are an appetizer but I got as my meal. Very friendly staff! The vibes are great with bass-y music and if you want to sit outside they have some nice fires going!

Wings and Fries

Went to Blacks Pub after a Zipline tour and it hit the spot. I got the Franks Red Hot Wings and they didn't disappoint. The Poutine for our appetizer was fantastic. Our server Tash also but on a 99 overall performance, great stuff from Blacks Pub. 5 Stars

Went to Black's Pub to celebrate my friend's birthday, I think it was the perfect spot to go because the atmosphere was so vibrant. Also a good spot if you're looking for a spot to unwind after a day on the slopes. They have a fireplace outside which looked super cozy but unfortunately, because of our big group size we couldn't get a spot there. We mostly had drinks there and some light appetizers. I was a big fan of their truffle fries - they were thin, crunchy and very garlicky! Also liked their poutine because it was loaded with cheese and it was spread across evenly so that every fry had a little bit of cheese. They also have a good selection of cocktails to try from. The service there was fast and I appreciated the big candle that came with my friend's birthday cake. I will say that the place gets pretty crowded on the weekend so it might be a good idea to get a reservation or be prepared to have a long wait time.

Cheese curds and Pilsner - nothing better

We love Black's Pub - the staff is always friendly and you cannot beat the views. Plus, they are very generous on the cheese curds with the poutine - which makes me very happy. Not sure why this place has 3 stars but they get 5 from us!

Good pulled pork poutine and good beer selections. Enjoyed the service, checked in often enough as we were sitting outside. The fire pit in the table kept it warm enough to enjoy the meal and drinks. Pretty view of the mountain and village.

Fresh squeezed lemonade

While staying at the superb Sundial Boutique Hotel, we decided to give Blacks a try; one of the restaurants located on the second floor. We entered around a regular lunch time but as the place is situated in a hotel it was fairly quiet so we could sit wherever we wished. We chose a beautiful patio seat under an umbrella on this hot day, and were quickly greeted by our server. He was friendly, attentive, polite, fun, and had an awesome Australian (?) accent. Friendly with a great smile, he was happy to serve. A shame we didn't catch his name .-. I ordered the lemonade (fresh squeezed!) with beef dip and poutine. The lemonade was delicious; a perfect mix of sour and sweet, with a smooth, clean finish. Truly fresh squeezed and you could taste it! One of the best I've had in a long time. The beef dip was delicious. Thick, juicy, roast beef (almost like pot roast) on a crispy baguette with crispy onions, dipped in the savoury, and delightful au jus? Superb! The 'poutine' however, didn't come- only fries. Which were delicious and seasoned with a blend that elevated them past your typical pub fries. Our delightful server noticed the kitchens mishap and removed the additional charge for the poutine, but overall I was pleased with the meal I did receive. I will definitely recommend Blacks Pub for a good, quick lunch on a hot day, for the view, atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and delicious menu!

We decided to après-ski here on a Saturday, mostly because it was a convenient 100 meters from the bottom of the mountain. It was crowded, but we were able to squeeze our group onto a table and get served quickly. The drinks were standard and a bit pricey, but we expected this as a premium for the convenience and amazing view. Our group favorite was definitely the Irish coffee - the thick whipped cream really made the drink. We also got a host of appetizers, all fried and perfect for a post-ski meal. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out if you have several days in Whistler. If you only have one, you may want to pass and go directly to Longhorn, which is a bit more fun and memorable.

Maple sriracha wings (insta: @badtothebite)
Khanh H.

Please come here for the maple sriracha wings, they were perfectly crisp and I will be dreaming of them forever. And the ranch!!! It was so good and herby omg But Black's Pub is just okay. The service is incredibly slow. We sat outside on a Wednesday night so it wasn't busy at all and it took them foreverrrrrrrr to do anything. Bring waters, take our order, get more drinks etc. I got the strawberry basil marg on the menu and I could not taste an ounce of tequila??

BBQ Black's wings, Calamari, Mountain Burger
Armita P.

We asked to be seated on the second floor patio so we could have a better view of the mountain and gondola...I would recommend you do the same. We ordered BBQ Black's wings $20, Calamari $20, Mountain Burger $28. The wings were the best wings I've had in whistler and one of the best I've had in the past few years the burger was delicious too. The calamari was extra crispy but to be honest I didn't really like the sauce, I wish it came with a white sauce instead. Overall a great experience

Great views from upstairs bar

On top of the great value, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a really welcoming, stylish vibe. Their drink menu is impressive--they have an extensive list of gins and a really nice rotation of beers on tap. Plus, if you're looking for a heavier dinner, they offer a great deal on a 3-course meal. We decided to order a bunch of items off the happy hour menu to share, and everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned for sharing: - Korean Fried Cauliflower: Super flavorful and a great crunch. - Brussels Sprouts with Bacon: A classic combo done right. - Crispy Potatoes: Perfectly crispy and addictive. - PEI Mussels: Fresh and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a top-tier happy hour spot with amazing food and great value!

We started coming here three years ago and sadly only get to visit once a year during Cornucopia while we're staying. The staff has always been so dang friendly. We love sitting at the bar top and having the best conversations with them. I've never tried the food, so I can't comment on that -- my review is based on everything else. If you've never been, it's a MUST try!

Which it wasn't inside at all where our table was. Very loud and rowdy and the dj played the same parts of songs over the three hour time span we were there. Our server was half attentive, but she kept wandering off when we wanted to order more drinks-which just kind of made it difficult. We couldn't find our server for the rest of the night so we ordered from other random servers. We ordered a few buckets of beer and two poutine's. Which ended up being $48 for two small bowls that's essentially just really soggy fries- But to each their own. It's not the restaurants fault, it's what we ordered. We did order the regular truffle fries and they were much better! We also did a round of green tea and tequila shots, all shots were $12. Pretty cool for a first time experience but probably wouldn't come back, as it's overly crowded, champagnes flying everywhere and the bottle service sparklers were so strong it smelled a little like chemicals -but fun while we were here.

There were many tvs and a big screen projector showing the hockey game. Then I noticed Canucks jerseys hanging from the rafter and on the walls. Ok, so sports was big here. It was not rowdy though. We sat away from the main dining hall and got a corner table near the entrance. Service was ok, took a while for the requested extra napkins to come. Our server forgot about it. Guessed it was busier in the main hall which was on a spilt level up. Food wise, it was decent food in a neighborhood pub. Not a huge selection but it had the typical food here so everyone should be able to get something they like. The calamari was surprisingly good. Tender lightly battered squid, not rubbery at all. The whiskey bbq ribs with fries and slaw were good too. The wild BC salmon burger with clam chowder was so-so. I wished the salmon was a bit less over cooked. Salmon was lightly charred outside and unfortunately the inside was a bit hard. At least not too dry. I would prefer the salmon to just have a light crisp with the inside being 70-80% cooked. The miso glaze was nice though. The clam chowder as the side was bad as it did not taste like it at all. It was more of a cream of vegetables soup with some bits of clams in it. That was a disappointment. Fries or salad for the side in future. I also had the Moscow mule. It had real ginger bits in it. I didn't care for that as you kept getting them in every sip and they were real gingery spicy. Not a place I would make a special trip for, but a decent place for a meal when passing by. They open till 12 midnight or 1 am. Nice sized parking lot in front and back of the building.
