Here is another time we're driving and don't know where to stop for a good lunchl. In this case, we went to google and asked for the "best Yelp rated restaurants along Interstate 24 near Chattanooga". That is how we discovered Blackstone Grill. The menu was impressive but we really only wanted a "quick" (meaning less than an hour) lunch. My wife ordered her favorite-a wedge salad. She loved it. I tried the homemade chicken tenders. On a 1 to 10 rating, I'd have to give these a 20! What I imagine they did was take a huge chicken breast, slice it into gigantic pieces and apply their light, flavorful breading and deep fry. Seriously, these were some of the largest chicken tenders I've ever seen. The meet was tender and flavorful and the breading was light enough not to overtake the chicken. It was also seasoned nicely. Fries were hand cut and excellent as well. Pretty basic items that really excelled. I talked to the server (who was outstanding) a bit and learned their pork chop is a huge seller. We just might have to stop here on our way home if it's anywhere near mealtime when we pass Chattanooga. Also, the bar had several difficult to find bourbons that were reasonably priced! Stopped in while traveling for dinner. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly. The fish and chips were excellent. The only downside was that retired service members weren't recognized for a military discount unless in uniform. Aside from that, everything was great. read more

Perhaps this is more of a local place for a few beers than a restaurant. We just got to our camp after a long drive and wanted to get something quick and this had 4 stars and was only a 6 min drive. The menu is a bit limited. I got the steak which came out super salty. Wondering if it had tenderizer on it. The fries were soggy. The Brussels sprouts did come out good. We had the loaded potatoes appetizer which was just not that great. Dry. Left most everything there. The service was quick and she did all the basics but on this trip to TN perhaps we just got used to how everybody is so super nice. She was ok. Did not even make eye contact with us as we left. I am sure you can do better if you drive a bit more. Overall I cannot recommend this spot. read more

The steaks and loaded potatoes were delicious. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. The salad was delicious. The service was great! The inside is lacking to be bundled in with steak and seafood in my opinion. Plastic table cloths and cheap chairs. With a few little changes it could be great. read more

I'm pretty late in reviewing this restaurant but since we picked up to go order tonight, I thought I'd give my feedback. The first time we ate at Blackstone was 2 months ago when we met our son and his wife for dinner. It was a weeknight so they thankfully weren't as busy as they normally are. We were seated immediately and our server approached us a few moments later. He was knowledgeable about the offerings, answered questions and after taking our order, he was back quickly with our drinks. I had the glazed salmon and veggies sides, my husband had the fried shrimp and fries, my son had the pork chop, salad and baked potato and my daughter-in-law had the Cuban sliders. Everyone agreed that their orders were tasty and that the service was great. A month later, my husband and I ordered our lunch as takeout: he had the fried shrimp lunch and I had the BBQ pork baked potato (huge with enough left over for another day). Again our food was wonderful and certainly plentiful. Today we picked up dinner: the Texas brisket sandwich with fries and slaw for the husband and the salmon with veggies for me. Everything was delicious as usual. They are always busy for lunch and dinner and rightly so. Give it a try and see what you think! read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this spot, and I have to say, the wings with the Jameson sauce were absolutely incredible! They were perfectly cooked, tender on the inside, and the sauce had this rich, smoky-sweet flavor with just the right amount of kick. It was the kind of dish that makes you want to come back just for one more bite. On top of the delicious food, the service was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Everything from the warm welcome to the quick drink refills made the visit memorable. I love this place! High end food with casual atmosphere. The house salad was fresh and delicious. My filet was a perfect medium rare and delicately seasoned. My Brussels sprouts were the perfect amount of crispy. Charity was my waitress and she was very personable. She kept my drink filled. I could tell there were a lot of regulars here. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was so bland and over cooked. The sauce over the top had no flavor either. However, the real concern was the dog in the restaurant. No vest to indicate a service or therapy dog. The "chef" came out to the owners table at least 4x. He brought the dog some chicken on a dish that was not disposable. The dog was very well behaved, but I prefer to not eat on the same dishes even if they have been washed. read more

We found this restaurant on yelp and we were not disappointed. Service was good. I had a sirloin steak and it was grilled perfectly medium rare. I had the vegetable of the day (zucchini and yellow squash) and grilled Brussels sprouts. Both were good but the sprouts were out of this world. I wish I lived near so I could have that more often! read more

Stayed in Chattanooga overnight on the way home from a vacation and found this place. Both the food and service were outstanding! Our waitress came and brought our drinks and took our orders. She never spoke to us again. We saw our steaks sitting on a counter for over 15 minutes. They were on a table where staff got butter and sour cream. People were walking by and reaching over our plates. Finally a different woman brought our plates. The food was cold.
