Pork belly burnt ends, brisket, Mac and cheese and Texas toast (2 Meats and One Side).
    Britt M.

Listen, I have been craving some good brisket for over two months now. Decided to stop by after my nail appointment. I asked Sheree about the pork belly burnt ends and she let me know that next to the brisket burnt ends they were her favorite and she let me try a sample. Needless to say I was sold and within 3 minutes after ordering I ate my fill! I will be dreaming about those burnt ends until the next visit!! Stop by and let Sheree and Jeremy serve you some great food with a good calm vibe!! Tell them I sent you.

Dinner was delicious last weekend! My partner got the Nashville sandwich in medium and loved it. The seasoned fries were yummy. I got the smoked chicken and pulled pork with Mac and cheese and onion rings. The beer battered onion rings were so tasty and I loved the pulled pork and chicken! The Mac and cheese was so delicious as well. Super quick service! They call you to pick up your order at the counter. There's a bar, TVs, and had some sport games on which was nice.

Being from Kansas City I feel I know my bbq pretty well. This place was a pleasant surprise and it was my first time trying Chicago bbq. First off the staff was great the guy at the counter was super friendly and gave us some recommendations. The meat was super tender and had some great flavor. I got the St Louis style ribs and they were fall off the bone. The sides were pretty great as well and a wide variety to choose from. The place has TVs setup to watch the game and a bar area if you feel like getting a drink.

I've had Blackwoods in the city several times and then also this location. I'm just not a fan, I like my BBQ really smoky with that wood flavor and this place is just not it.

Inside was different but kind of fun. The service was good. He was very nice. the food on the other hand was very different. The lean brisket sandwich was good. The french fries were very good. the quesadilla was weird. I'm not really sure what it tasted like but the chicken did not look like it was cooked, but we were told that's how it's marinated, but it still was just scary to me. The Twinkie bites are not Twinkie at all. They're just cream cheese and pork. which I was very sad to see because we were wanting something sweet. the queso dip was OK, but it tasted more like hummus to me. I love the idea that they gave you a free piece of cobbler after your meal, but ours was very saggy. for the portion size you get which is on the small side even for sides, it is very overpriced. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

The food was excellent service was great and the restaurant was clean. We plan to come back on the Fourth of July and bring the entire family if they are open.

Four stars for one minor reason. Otherwise I would have given you five. Let's start off with what you do well: your food is delicious, a portions are more than adequate. And the variety of sauce is glorious.!! I keep coming back here because the food is delicious. Let's talk about opportunities for improvement. Please, please, please make it standard operating procedure to clean the barbecue sauce, bottles, and tops that sit on the tables for your customers to use. It is clear that that is not one of your nightly closing duties. I came this morning at opening and the bottles were crusty.. Every time I come, you never have Burnt ends. If you sell out every day, maybe try and make more? Hopefully someday I'll get to try them. Today I tried the chicken and it was to die for!!!

Stopped here on the way back from Indiana, food was really good! I would say it's a little pricey for the amount that you get

One pound of brisket and one pound of pulled chicken

My husband and I are fans of the Loop location. With the Oak Brook location being closer to home, it would only make sense to bring the family and pay them a visit. For four adults and two young children, we shared the following and had leftovers: 1) One pound of beef brisket - There is a decent amount of fat to these sliced briskets, rendering them especially tender and moist. 2) One pound of pulled chicken - It is a mix of white and dark meat. We don't generally order pulled chicken but we are fans of these. 3) Two Nashville hot chicken sandwiches - These are hefty sandwiches with a good kick. They are not ideal for the young children but definitely a must-try for the rest of the party. 4) Large order of French fries 5) Large order of charred brussels with maple - These were a bit too oily for my liking but it was flavorful and provided some much needed greens to balance the meal.

Came here for my nephews birthday and man did I enjoy it!! The food was amazing!! The service was on point and the ambiance was really nice! Me and my nephew also had the old fashioned cocktail that was also pretty good! I definitely recommend this place

This is the second time I came to this location. I had some taste for some barbecue. This place is located in a strip mall off the road. They have plenty of private parking. As you walk in there we're 1 page menus halfway towards the ordering area. They do all touch screens and they do not take cash! A bit concerning because what happens if you have a customer that has cash and no credit cards on them what do you do then? We placed our orders on the screen and picked up a pager in the basket then entered our pager #. If you need help using the touchscreens, they do have someone to assist you. We ordered the platter which was about $80 that feeds 6 to 7 people and you get to try the majority of their meats like a sampler platter, including three large sides and comes with five sweet cornbread and three Texas toast. So drinks and desserts are a separate cost. So the 5 of us in our party was plenty and we had leftovers. Cost about $110 including tip. They have indoor and outdoor seating...including single seating at the bar area where you can also watch sporting events on their flatscreen TVs. The place was clean and this is a fairly new establishment. Our platter of meats came with slices of brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, a half of Kansas style whole chicken, pork sausages, st. Louis ribs, and five sweet cornbread that has actual corn kernels inside, aside of dill pickles, and pickled red onions. Our three sides we chose mac & cheese, smoked beans with pork or brisket bits, seasoned french fries. The brisket was juicy, the pulled pork was OK kinda dry, The pulled chicken was soft and juicy, the half of Kansas style whole chicken was dark, but it didn't taste burnt It was pretty good and juicy, the pork sausage slices were flavorful and juicy I liked it, I also liked the smoked ringed St. Louis ribs. I liked the Sweet cornbread. It look like a muffin had corn kernels and it was enough to eat. The Texas toast was three slices. They were pretty good size to split if you wanted to and tasty. Both sides were crispy like it was cooked on a buttered flat iron. I liked that they gave us pickled red onions and sliced pickles on the side. it helped cut the fat when you're eating the meats. For dessert, we tried one of their sliced pies, which was a coconut, lychee cream pie. It was pretty good. It showed the sign that their pies came from bang bang pies from Chicago. For our drinks, we went across the room to the other side they had plenty of fountain drink choices, including lemonade, which was really lemony lemonade, sweetened tea, and also unsweetened tea. The sauces were also good from Memphis sweet to really spicy about 6 different kinds of sauces to choose from at the table. We even had a gentleman that came to us and asked how our food was tasting not sure if it was the owner, but that was pretty nice that they came by. When we wanted to go containers, it was right upfront that we helped ourselves. Overall a good experience and we tried all the different types of meats. We were happy with the meal and definitely we plan to come back here again when the weather is warmer to eat outside.

BBQ LOVERS!!! Blackwood BBQ has a new location in Oakbrook and they should be on your list to visit! From their sides, to their meats and everything in between- flavor and deliciousness! Getting the platter is THE BEST and I highly recommend it because you get some of EVERYTHING and it feeds 2-3 people! The platter had brisket, pulled pork, sausage, smoked chicken, pulled chicken and a huge half piece of chicken called Alabama chicken - it was smoked, brines and deep fried; it was my FAVORITE! The sides were better than I expected as well- the Mac and cheese was actually tasty and most places cannot get Mac and cheese right, however they did! I even liked the brussel sprouts! They were charred and tasty! They even have a smoked Jackfruit option, which is great for vegetarians, but meat lovers are a big fan of it as well They have tacos here too! They also have dessert options and a FULL BAR! Throw on your hat and cowboy boots and make your way on down to try them out and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!

Sebastian's Ale & Whiskey House has a lot of promise: Friendly staff, big menu, cool patio, BIG…read morescreen TV... but they fall flat with the execution. We stopped in for dinner and several things went awry as soon as our food started to arrive. When my side salad arrived it came with Ranch dressing. Well, it was supposed to, but what came didn't look like Ranch, smell like Ranch, or taste like Ranch. I asked the food delivery guy for more, thinking he may have grabbed something else on accident, and he brought more of same. Bummer. Ate my salad sans dressing. Then the Kids pasta arrived, along with a side of carrots. And we waited. And waited. Then the Philly Egg Rolls arrived and the Baked Potato. And I waited. And waited. Finally my "meat loaf" arrived. Only it didn't look like meat loaf. I waited some more for the waitress to return only she never did. I had to get up and walk over to the bar, where she seemed to be busy inventorying liquor bottles, to ask her to look at the food to confirm it was the meat loaf. She immediately confirmed, then paused, then said "Um... no... that... let me check." and took my plate away. Some minutes later I finally received the meat loaf I ordered (which was tasty!, just that everyone else was done eating my this time). While I'm not sure what caused the Ranch to turn, the food to take so long and be delivered piece-meal (when it was NOT crowded AT ALL), and the confusion around the meat loaf (which was one of their "most ordered" items, so we were told when asking about some favorite dishes), I can say that our waitress was very friendly the entire time and apologized for the mess up. Given all of this, and the fact that I think the prices are inflated given the portion sizes, I don't know that we'll be back again.

This space had a sports bar feel, with 4-5 huge TVs playing sports- mostly women's soccer and the All-Star baseball game. Plus overhead music. So it's a bit loud, but to be expected. Outdoor seating is a nice option, although it was 90 degrees last night so I stayed inside. Service was exceptional, my favorite part of the night. I was seated immediately and folks came by with menu, utensils, water refills, condiments, and several people just checking to make sure I was having a good time and had everything I needed. So honestly, this rating is between 2 or 3 stars for me.. for a number of reasons: 1. Idk if every restaurant is choosing premixed drinks over real alcohol to save money or something but it's getting crazy. Even their shots are premixed. Their lemon drop shot is literally just a shot of Deep Eddys...... you guys, go to Mariano's/Target/Binnys and buy a 15 or 20$ bottle of Deep Eddys. Do not pay 7$ for a "baller shot" of that. We asked what drinks weren't premixed and from what I can remember, there was only about 3 drinks that wasn't plus all of their top shelf liquor. I just don't see the point of having a full bar just to fill it with premixed drinks.. but...ok 2. Apparently the workers are not allowed to taste any of their drinks... so if you're thinking about asking them which drink they like more, don't. They won't know what it tastes like. My friend and I were completely perplexed by this but then our waiter said it's bc not all of their hires are 21+up. Again....ok.. I guess 3. As you can see in my pictures, we were at first served a small plate of burnt sweet potato fries. Idk how they even made it to our table but we politely sent them back for a fresh order. The second picture is what they sent next. Much better, thank you. Kinda felt like you were trying to see if we'd accept anything.. But it's ok. You fixed it 4. Good things. - The two baller shots we did have were tasty (they were premixed still.. found that out later) - the pornstar drink (I didn't name the drinks, don't judge me) was not a premixed drink so we did order that. That one was good. - the second batch of sweet potato fries were good as well In conclusion.. I settled on 3 stars bc our waiter was the sweetest
