We were looking for a good steakhouse and we found it here. Everything that was eaten was good. I had the filet mignon as did my friend plus another friend had the chicken. Everything was good....until we got home. Later that evening, I got food poisoning from the filet mignon. Just so you know, I did not eat anything else after that meal. This was an unfortunate incident; nonetheless it was the filet mignon that caused my extreme digestive situation. read more

Went there for my birthday hoping yo have a nice juicy steak because they say they're a steakhouse, but there wasn't one steak on the menu. It also took the hostess 10 minutes to realize where we were standing there to get us seated and nobody came over once we were seated to take her order or bring us drinks. For a small town. It apparently was "the best" place to eat, food was average, not great, but when you're hungry it'll suffice.

A few weekends, ago, I missed the Sunday brunch cut-off time. Last weekend, I got there at 11 to find them closed. Today, I went for steak to find the menu is now tacos and burgers with steak on Wednesday. This was a great idea for a restaurant in a good location, very poorly executed. read more

After reading all the reviews, we had high expectations. Food was great, we loved the shrimp appetizer (shrimps wrapped in bacon, perfectly grilled with a touch of sweet/salty sauce), stuffed seafood shells was good, however a bit overly too rich overwhelming cream sauce for our taste, otherwise would have been excellent, side order of seasonal veggies was done perfectly. Service was so so, not as expected. We asked the waitress on what the seasonal veggies were and how it was prepped, she didn't know ( btw she didn't offer name as typical normal restaurant would practice) Didn't order dessert even though we were looking forward to it, but the cream sauce of the stuffed seafood shells kind of alter our mood palate On the other side note, our waitress didn't know much about the vine we ordered. Our table section temperature was way to cold to enjoy the meal. We asked if we could be moved to a better table, however was told tables were all reserved even though we saw many empty tables even through our dinner and left, there were plenty of empty tables. May give it another try when in the neighborhood again for a fair chance on overall experience. read more

We called the day before to make a reservation for a party of 6, we were told they were not needed. Glad we arrived early because, yes they were needed. Hostess needs more training. The food was very good, but the service also needs more work. Apps came out wrong, I ordered Tapas as my meal but got them as an appetizer too. We tried Blade and Bone tonight after seeing mixed reviews on it.  It was a very welcoming staff and the ambiance is quite nice.  This restaurant promotes their tomahawk steak, and we decided to split that.  $98.00 but we reasoned this was an upscale place.  We ordered a couple of cocktails and they brought usual type of bread with usual whipped butter.   The salad was fine, not spectacular, but fine.   The bread was okay if you are starving.  We had ordered a baked potato each with butter and sour cream, and an order of parmesan truffle fries, just to see how they were.  The steak was a big showy piece, drawing looks from neighboring tables.  The server wasn't sure of the cut of meat it was, so she left to ask the chef, who replied it was part rib eye, part loin and part something else, but he didn't know. This was one tough piece of meat. The potatoes SEEMED like they were steamed in foil rather than baked, and definitely undercooked, and the parmesan truffle fries were the usual steak cut fries with little or no sign of truffle or cheese.  Just mealy. The baked potatoes were small. The menu said they came with a choice of butter and sour cream. The server asked if we wanted them fully loaded, which we assumed was the butter and sour cream, and we agreed to it. Bacon bits were also on the potatoes and for that er were charged an additional $4.00 each The Bone and Blade could be considered a fairly good quality Mary's Cafe type of place as far as the food goes but it was 150.00 plus tip, so the perceived value isn't there. The four times I have been here, three for dinner and one for lunch we have never once experienced poor service or food challenges. The staff are friendly and it feels like a warm cozy place. Small bar area but totally doable. read more

Food for the most part was good (Scalloped potatoes were not cooked thru and were dry), portions were larger than most places. Our server was really nice, but slow to bring requested items. Not sure if they had her working to many tables. Ambiance was ok. We were seated by front door and it was cold when people came in and out. read more

The menu doesn't include sauces added to steaks and salmon (glazed in honey and an overcooked piece of fish). Ordered a T Bone and got a bone in ribeye instead. Check was not adjusted even after a talk with a manager. Prices are a high but we expected it on a special occasion and with that one expects a great meal. That didn't happen. The place was basically empty at 6:30pm and they sat us right next to another table so we had to physically move ours for room to breathe. We were excited for a fine dining experience and were let down. We won't be going back! read more

The service was amazing. There was a lack of communication on our server and we were taken care of. The server did not like how our ribeye looked and ask the chefs to remake it. The food was amazing. The service was above and beyond! The restaurant was quiet and perfect, although we did come for a late dinner. This will definitely be our go to restaurant ever time we come to visit. read more

Not a fan! I ordered the ribeye and I would compare it to a Texas Roadhouse steak! So disappointing to get a 1/4 inch ribeye for $42 that had about 6 ounces of fat and was over cooked. My salad was super wilted and fries were so bland and dry! Drinks were good but I don't think they put any alcohol in them! The service is about as good as the food! Really disappointed on the quality for the price and I don't mind spending hundreds of dollars on a good meal! read more

Tried for the first time and while not overly impressed I can't give a bad rating either. We ordered multiple apps as our dinner course. Flavor was excellent! Portion size was half of an app. Price was twice the app. Service was good, though servers could use some training. Quiet atmosphere, easy to have conversations. We went for our first visit since opened. Ordered two plates of the 8 oz filet mignon, both cooked to perfection (5). Great flavor, tender, and waitress asked for us to cut into steaks as served to ensure cooked to their preference - coming back promptly for approval. Very nice touch and accountability. Also ordered the Seafood Stuffed Pasta (title?) (5) that came with 8 medium sized shells stuffed with a mix of seafood that had been marinated with a sauce; plated as 8 distinct pieces with two large shrimp prawns in the center (slightly over cooked/average). Sauce was professionally drizzled over top with large shavings of a hard cheese, liberally spread over the dish (manchego ?). Shareable sides were the mashed potato bowl, cheesy and delicious (5); and a Shareable side salad with two different dressings; fresh with mixed greens (4, average side salad). Cocktails ordered were an old fashion (5, ordered a second) and Sparkling Verde Martini (4, fresh tasting, a bit sweet for my preference). Service was very good. Hostess and staff at front a bit immature, could have some tips on professionalism but very friendly. Waitress very good. Clean, comfortable atmosphere although noise level very high until some patrons exited. Just the acoustics of our section. We will definitely be back. We have tried before but has been booked. We went on a Sunday and not used to getting gravy on our steaks and the Cesar salad is made with iceberg lettuce. Not sure that we would return as we have had better quality food at that price point at other locations. read more

We had a family gathering here and we were very disappointed with the food and service. once the waitress took our order, we never heard from her again. we had to flag down other staff to get refills on drinks, had to get up and look for staff to pay the bill, and my steak was over cooked while my baked potato was undercooked. this place has so much potential to be great, but needs to properly train staff to attend to the customers. ask customers how their food is, refill empty glasses etc. read more

This was our third visit, first time for friends. Food was excellent as before, but OMG the wait staff was terribly slow, and the restaurant was not busy, so no idea what this young woman was doing. The first time in a very long time I tipped only 5%. Hopefully the restaurant owner can do a better management of it's staff. read more

We visited Blade and Bone restaurant in Grand Junction, CO. on 06/16/2024. I had the 12oz Rib Eye. Everything there is A la-carte so the rib eye I got was $38.00, baked potato was $9.00(enough for two normal people) and the salad was $12.00 or $14.00 don't remember which now(enough for two). The flavor of the rib eye was excellent but the quality of the meat was very poor, tough and chewy. The baked potato was great as well as the salad. I doubt very much that I would return to try to chew another one of their rib eyes. My wife had the salmon and she loved it. Service was very good after we had to move from a table against the wall with blaring sun and a change in waitresses, where I couldn't even get a straw for my iced tea, no silverware, napkins or dishes, and no bread or butter. read more

I was so surprised! I had read the reviews and was looking forward to a great experience! When we arrived on a Saturday early evening, there weren't any cars in the lot which made me nervous. However we went in anyway to try this incredible establishment that we had heard so much about. We ordered our dinner. I ordered the Fillet rare. I told them cool center, but not cold. My husband also ordered the Fillet, but Medium Well. When our steaks arrived, mine was medium well. My husbands was Well. They asked if we would like them to do it again, and we said yes. I reiterated how we would like our steaks. It took quite a while for the steaks to come out, but when they did both steaks on the top and bottom were burned black. Mine was Medium rare, and I was able to tolerate part of it. My husband's was, again, well done. They told us that this was the best that they could do. We told them it wasn't. They needed to listen to their customers when they ordered! We got the bill and they said that they gave us a discount. They discounted about $10.00, $5.00 per horrible steak. We ended up paying $80.00 for a horrible meal. Very disappointing to have had this experience. read more
