It was not good. The fry oil was old or something and the fries and onion rings were rough. I couldn't finish the fish in the fish and chips; heavy and low quality. We left unsatisfied. We saw the waitress only when she took the order, brought food, and payment. The most unfortunate thing is that if you were a regular, the service was quick, social, and of higher quality. The regulars are us boasted about the restaurant while we were forgotten. The experience should be consistent for all patrons. We stopped in here on the way to Telluride from Denver and thought it was a great little place with an outdoor patio on the main strip. The inside smelled like rotten fish and was very dark. We opted to sit on the patio and the smell was wafting out, which did not make us very hungry. We split the appetizer platter and had white cheddar cheese bites, fried mushrooms, and chicken tenders. We ordered the breakfast burrito and they were nice enough to split it for the two of us. The hash browns were nice and crispy like I like. The green chili was good and they substituted bacon for sausage for us. For the second half, we ordered the chicken wings - hot buffalo. They were crispy, saucy meaty, and hot and spicy. The sauce coated the wings with the right consistency, not too runny and good cayenne spice. I ate them quickly so I forgot to take a picture. I was hesitant to order them at market price but i was happy with them for $16.99 for 10. Bathrooms were fine. Lots of friendly folks making conversations. We ate here last weekend with a group of family members. Upon arrival we were greeted with a very friendly waitress who promptly took our drink orders. She was very helpful and helping us decide what we would like to order. I had a French dip sandwich everyone else in our party had hamburgers. I've been here a couple times and it's definitely worth it. I usually always get a burger. I love them. They are pretty tasty, and they have GF buns for those that need it. I don't think they are listed on the menu, so be sure to ask. Every time I've come in I'm greeted right away. The staff are always so pleasant. Our drink orders are taken quickly, and it doesn't take forever for the food to come out either. I love the vibe. Tried to eat here for a late lunch. The service was some of the worst I have ever had. I asked upon entering the building if I could sit outside on a beautiful summer afternoon I was told by the hostess that "they would get to me when able". It was 3:00 and the place was half empty. We waited for about five minutes outside before our server showed up to give us menus. She too told us that she would be back to help us when she was able. After deciding on both drinks and lunch items (since we had to wait so long again) we decided to give them a few more minutes, but no one came back out to take our order. That was yesterday and I am betting no one has been out to check on us since. We left after waiting an additional ten minutes with zero service. We really did try, but they didn't. WON'T BE BACK! Wow - where to start?!? We stopped in on Sun afternoon after hiking the CO Monument area. Arrived around 2:30 after the lunch crowd. Upon being seated, it took 15 mins for the waitresses to waddle over to ask if we would like anything to drink. We placed our food and drink order at the same time to hopefully get our food in a timely fashion. Well that strategy was wasted! After another 25 mins, 3 of our 4 meals that we ordered were delivered. The 4th meal we were told was not given to the kitchen and another 20 mins later, the burger finally arrived at our table. Been here a couple times and both were very good. I had a burger and the rib eye. The burger was great and the fries were crispy. The rib eye was cooked well but didn't have a lot of seasoning. The salad that came with it was very fresh and good. Thick ranch dressing. I also had the fried pickles and they are the best I've ever had. Fresh dill in the breading, so good. I love having this cozy place open and serving 3 meals a day. So far, I have had breakfast and lunch. I have eaten there and taken food out. All good experiences. Breakfast was biscuits and gravy for my husband and an omelet for me. The gravy (a southern white gravy as opposed to a sausage gravy) was smooth, not overly thick, and well seasoned. The presentation was particularly nice (biscuit, sausage patty,biscuit, sausage patty, biscuit - smothered in gravy). Good biscuits too. The omelet was tender, chock full of goodies and not overcooked. The only thing that would have made it better, was if I had some Ryan's Authentic Salsa to put on my omelet. That is good stuff - and made in house. Yum. Lunch - BYOB burger was delish. You get to choose your own accoutrements and I went for everything except the cheese and the egg (and I still can't figure out why I didn't get the egg!!). I loved the grilled peppers onions and mushrooms! As good as the burger was - the potato salad was the star. I am so tired of Sysco - out of the tub - type potato salad. This was house made and tasted just like the kind my favorite grandmother made (the one who was a fabulous home cook). So - kudos for this! I took home a BLT for my husband and he is a bacon gourmande - he loves good bacon and plenty of it. Suffice it to say, he was very happy with my choice. Have to get there for dinner. This is almost a date spot - despite the sports on the many TVs.
