We stopped in here on the way to Telluride from Denver and thought it was a great little place with an outdoor patio on the main strip. The inside smelled like rotten fish and was very dark. We opted to sit on the patio and the smell was wafting out, which did not make us very hungry. We split the appetizer platter and had white cheddar cheese bites, fried mushrooms, and chicken tenders. All three of which were frozen previously, then flash fried in the fryer. Nothing to write home about here. Tons of other great places to try and Palisade. read more

We were driving through Palisades and were looking for a place to watch the Texas-Michigan football game. This place fit the bill! Big TVs, friendly staff, comfy booths and good food. We ordered the breakfast burrito and they were nice enough to split it for the two of us. The hash browns were nice and crispy like I like. The green chili was good and they substituted bacon for sausage for us. For the second half, we ordered the chicken wings - hot buffalo. They were crispy, saucy meaty, and hot and spicy. The sauce coated the wings with the right consistency, not too runny and good cayenne spice. I ate them quickly so I forgot to take a picture. I was hesitant to order them at market price but i was happy with them for $16.99 for 10. Bathrooms were fine. Lots of friendly folks making conversations. We ate here last weekend with a group of family members. Upon arrival we were greeted with a very friendly waitress who promptly took our drink orders. She was very helpful and helping us decide what we would like to order. I had a French dip sandwich everyone else in our party had hamburgers. My husband and my son said they were the best hamburgers they have ever eaten in a restaurant. I ate every last bit of my French dip sandwich and wanted more. It was so good. Then the waitress tells us that she's sorry but another waitress gave my husband's order (chicken wings) to another table. She said they have the a new order going now. Meanwhile my BLT has been sitting in front of me for about 15 minutes. She never brought my Cole slaw, she never asked if my husband wanted anything to replace it. So he sat there eating onion rings and iced tea, and half my sandwich. Terrible place. Terrible service. The only good thing was the BLT which I split with my husband. I've been here a couple times and it's definitely worth it. I usually always get a burger. I love them. They are pretty tasty, and they have GF buns for those that need it. I don't think they are listed on the menu, so be sure to ask. Every time I've come in I'm greeted right away. The staff are always so pleasant. Our drink orders are taken quickly, and it doesn't take forever for the food to come out either. I love the vibe. Waitress great and very friendly... there were 2 of us and we ordered a chicken fried steak w/mash potatoes and a side salad, then a Reuben with Swiss cheese and a side salad. Salads were great BUT... the Ruben had too too much sauerkraut, no Swiss, and there was hardly any meat all for $15.99 AARGGHH! the chicken fried steak and gravy was bland, couldn't tell what type of meat was used, all for the cheap price of $21.99, that was a bigger AARRGGGH... never again. Tried to eat here for a late lunch. The service was some of the worst I have ever had. I asked upon entering the building if I could sit outside on a beautiful summer afternoon I was told by the hostess that "they would get to me when able". It was 3:00 and the place was half empty. We waited for about five minutes outside before our server showed up to give us menus. She too told us that she would be back to help us when she was able. After deciding on both drinks and lunch items (since we had to wait so long again) we decided to give them a few more minutes, but no one came back out to take our order. That was yesterday and I am betting no one has been out to check on us since. We left after waiting an additional ten minutes with zero service. We really did try, but they didn't. WON'T BE BACK! The only reason they get a star is because of their negligence we lady and had a great meal and drinks at one of the distilleries. read more

Always delicious, large portions and reasonable prices. They have the absolute best potato salad. It's our weekend go to . Highly recommend.

We live in town and have nothing but good things to say. Bar food menu but good and consistent. We love the wings and burgers. Have taken out of town guests here too and everyone is always pleased. We came here for a dog friendly lunch and were so happy we did. Our waitress was a wonderful woman who kindly gave our pup treats for being a cutie. Lunch was delicious - BLT and coleslaw, Philly cheesesteak with fries, and the white cheddar nuggets. It was more food than we could handle! Wow - where to start?!? We stopped in on Sun afternoon after hiking the CO Monument area. Arrived around 2:30 after the lunch crowd. Upon being seated, it took 15 mins for the waitresses to waddle over to ask if we would like anything to drink. We placed our food and drink order at the same time to hopefully get our food in a timely fashion. Well that strategy was wasted! After another 25 mins, 3 of our 4 meals that we ordered were delivered. The 4th meal we were told was not given to the kitchen and another 20 mins later, the burger finally arrived at our table. This place is a joke. The owners very clearly have no clue how to run a professional dining room, will scream at you for doing what eachother has told you to do, and will treat you like very poorly because they can't listen to availability. Or eachother for that matter, since one will scream at you for not instantly taking care of tables and the other will scream at you for taking care of those tables instead of getting food The INSTANT it comes up. The owners are also extremely abrasive and hateful and impossible to talk to about anything. The owners daughter is also a server there and she's pretty awful as well. Her new husband I one of the cooks and he chews tobacco in the kitchen while cooking (gross ikr). But the owners and anyone in their family think they're like royalty or something above the rules and HEALTH CODES. I've also seen them mop up a sewage over flow in the bathroom, spill the mop bucket and then "reclean" the floor with the sewage water! Seriously if it weren't for their one good cook and a handful of the wait staff, this place would be a disaster. The owners are straight up imbeciles who have no idea how to run a functional restaurant or even be decent human beings for their current employees. Do not work for these awful people read more

This place wasn't bad. Nothing to write and rave about, like another reviewer wrote...My chicken fried steak was about a half inch think and wasn't pounded out. Don't get me wrong, tender steak, but I should have just ordered it without the breading. Lol. Wasn't seasoned very much either. They either rely on the gravy, which I have mixed feeling about, or they cater to an older crowd? (Which was the case when we were there). The rest of our food wasn't bad either, just seemed "boxed"...The Fries were pretty crispy and good---to say something positive. Side salad was great... Croutons spectacular! Been here a couple times and both were very good. I had a burger and the rib eye. The burger was great and the fries were crispy. The rib eye was cooked well but didn't have a lot of seasoning. The salad that came with it was very fresh and good. Thick ranch dressing. I also had the fried pickles and they are the best I've ever had. Fresh dill in the breading, so good.
