I gave this company multiple chances, and each time the experience became more unprofessional and dismissive. * Parts were ordered and then there was complete silence--no return calls or emails despite repeated follow-ups. * When I finally called, I was told they "don't email or call back" due to lack of resources, even though multiple staff consistently answered the phone. * A part that they ordered arrived and sat in their store for over a week before installation was scheduled. * On the day of service, the technician spent over an hour in my attic on personal phone calls, then came down and said the part was wrong. * When I contacted the office to report this, the owner told me, verbatim, "we don't need your business." During this call, the owner was already speaking harshly. I asked whether I was allowed to use strong language ("bad word") toward an employee--I DID NOT use any. The owner immediately responded aggressively instead of de-escalating the situation. What made this especially concerning was the gender and cultural bias displayed by the owner. As an Indian woman, I felt spoken to in a dismissive, aggressive, and oppressive manner--behavior I strongly believe would not have occurred had I been a man. The interaction reflected gender bias and disrespect, not professionalism. I was left in the middle with unresolved issues, wasted time, and no accountability. 3 years ago Blaine (then Aire Serv) replaced my A/C compressor, and repaired the failing ductwork in the house at a very good price. Previously, the house could not maintain enough cooling during hot summer days, and the old compressor was never off during the hot summer days. For the last 2 years, the A/C worked flawlessly even on teh hottest days here in Merced. Today, I had the furnace and compressor serviced. Last year I contacted Blaine to repair my HVAC system which was not cooling. They sent me a guy named Jesus, who, while diagnosing the issue, the first thing he did was drain all of my refrigerant from the unit that had just been topped off by another technician who was unable to find the issue. kind of sketchy huh? He said he would send me an estimate on the repair, couldn't give me a verbal, not even our in the sky, right there on the spot no matter how much I nudged. He sent me an email that said to click on the links to see the different estimates. He had three different links... Clicking on the links All I found were progressively more expensive brand new units, ($5,500, $6,500, and $7,500), my unit is only 10 years old and I expect many more years out of it, I had made sure to buy a bigger unit than I needed. I bought the Trane XL series central air conditioning unit. I didn't want or need another HVAC system. The and only way I could contact him was through email, and he would send me the same email repeatedly. His phone when I called would tell me that he had changed his number and did not leave a forwarding number, and his messages also would not go through for text. After about a month of getting this runaround, I called the company and I told the secretary what was going on and that I had lost all trust in this man and felt that I was being scammed, especially after he drained my refrigerant from my unit, I told her I wanted somebody else to send me an estimate anyway it could be done, and every way it could be done. I wanted an estimate through a phone call, a text message, or an email by some other tech, and I wanted one also snail mail as insurance. I told her I wanted no further contact with Jesus. I also advised her that the issue of not being able to get the links to open up to an actual estimate and not new units was not my issue as I had spent five years at AT&T mobility, and I've been on computers and the Internet since 1985, I know what I'm doing. This issue is not my problem. Not being able to get through to him through text message or phone call may have been the different technologies as I believe he had an android phone and I have an iPhone and they don't always communicate well... So the next day I get a phone call from Jesus! I did not pick up because I had made it clear to this woman that I did not want to hear from him. So I'm going into my third year of no cooling after record-breaking heat waves, this is very difficult for a 68 year old woman! It took me all these months, thinking, long and hard about whether or not I should put this on Yelp, and I came to the conclusion that, yes, I should to help other people out there, who are getting scammed by people who are trying to get the most money out of them without doing what they were asked to do in the first place... He also charged me $120 to come out and drain my unit of refrigerant! So these are the people that installed my unit in the first place, these were the people that came at one other time to fix it, and I had all kinds of trust in them, but their workforce seems to no longer be reliable, or honest. I do not recommend this company whatsoever. They don't listen to you, from the secretary to the servicemen they send out, and they take your money just to come out and make the problem worse so if you're a 68 year old woman, living alone, steer clear away from Blaine, I'll never called them again. And I really truly hope that this financially impacts Jesus so maybe he won't keep trying this crap on old people. read more

I paid these folks $500 to clean 5 out ducts, and one in duct. They spent all of 35 minutes, and there is no difference. For $500, one would think they'd take the time to be thorough, but these guys seemed to be in a hurry to go home. I do not recommend Blaine Inc. read more

In November 2021, Blaine Inc. Heating & Air Conditioning AC1 was contracted to install a new air conditioner unit, new vents, new ducts after a fire had destroyed all of these parts. I asked that an extra duct be put into one of the rooms and I was told that this was not a problem. They installed everything but the vents because they were on backorder and had FORGOT to put in the extra duct and vent into the bedroom. Months later, they came out to adjust the vents and was supposed to install the extra duct and vent in the bedroom and they failed to do so, AGAIN. They came out almost 5 months later to finally install the vents that they had been waiting for and install the vent and duct but when the technicians were done, they had absolutely NO IDEA that they were supposed to install the duct and vent. They spoke with Mrs. Blaine on the phone and she apologized. She said they would adjust the airflow to accommodate the extra room and they would adjust the bill. This airflow out of just one duct in this bedroom is insufficient to what I was wanting and other rooms are suffering because of the dispersment of air. Overall, the project was not constructed according to the original agreement. I paid $19,000 which I believed was more than fair after not receiving a final bill from the owner and a month later I was sent a bill for $1005 more. When the manager, Charmaine, called to collect, I told her that I was not satisfied and she ignored me. I said, fine, I'll pay $50 a month but I am not happy. She told me that they could not accept that amount and I had to pay $100/mo. and she would send me the contract to sign. I did not sign the contract and then they sent me and my husband to a collections agency. I have reluctantly paid the balance of $1005. I did not get what I paid for and what I would like is for them to come out and do what was contracted since I have paid the bill in full or a refund of $1005. They are a company without integrity. read more

They were able to diagnose the issue and replaced our ducts. They did a great job, fixed any little issue that came up very quickly, and the workers were very respectful.
