    The Early Bird Biscuit Sandwich

This was a random find, I just needed to find a place near the outlets. There was so many people waiting when we went today (Sun) at noon. Indoor seating was limited but plenty of outdoor- thankfully the sun was out. But the service was great- super nice and they gave free drinks for those who have been waiting a lot. The place was cute and clean. And the food was really tasty- no wonder it's so popular. We even ran into an ex-pro football player there who also played at our Alma mater! That's gotta mean something right? ;)

I was finally able to come to Blair Mountain Biscuit Company and they did not disappoint!!! It is a small place, so you either take out or in the summer plan to eat outside at the tables. Inside they have 3 tables, but most people tend to take out. The people who all work there are so FRIENDLY. When asked if this was our first time, they told us we can eat in or take out. As soon as we finished ordering, a table emptied and they kindly asked us to wait so they could clean the table. While we were waiting for our food, they brought us their loaded fries to try (on the house). They were loaded all right. The basket was flowing with pepper gravy and two fried eggs. It about filled us up. The coffee was steaming hot - which is so rare. The biscuit sandwiches were piled high. Mine was a fried egg, with cheese and bacon. A nice surprise was that it had two eggs instead of one. It was so big I needed a knife and fork. My husband got an omelette like egg, bacon and biscuit sandwich. Now these are not any old sandwiches, they have an aioli sauce on them. The biscuits were so yummy we got a 1/2 dozen to go. We live about a 1/2 hr drive away. But well worth the drive.

Came here after seeing a couple different IG reels and some TikTok's and man did this place not disappoint!! There's tons of seating outside, few tables inside with a very welcoming crew. The menu has enough options for everyone's liking. My wife had the early bird which has AMAZING herb gravy smothering the entire biscuit. I had the hot chicken biscuit and it was delicious. This place is a must if you get the chance.

My husband and I were running errands and decided to try this place. It did not live up to the hype unfortunately. We tried a chicken biscuit, sausage breakfast biscuit, bacon breakfast biscuit, mushroom scrapper and berry French toast. The mushroom scrapple is a great play on regular scrapple. The chicken was a bit chewy and everything had the same flavor profile. All the breakfast sandwiches come with an herb gravy and herbs in the biscuits. The berry French toast was good. I wish it came with more cream topping. FYI you order at the counter and the servers bring it to you. Friendly staff.

I visited NJ over Veterans Day weekend. I stopped here for breakfast after finding the positive views on Yelp, Food The food did not disappoint. I ordered The Early Bird Biscuit. It's a homemade biscuit with fried chicken, herb gravy, cheddar, and a fried egg. The biscuit is huge. The fried chicken was tender and the gravy was flavorful with the fresh herbs. Ambiance This is a small restaurant. Three tables on the inside and a couple outside. Most of the orders were carry out or delivery. The front of the house staff was welcoming.

VERY good biscuits! We both had the egg and cheese ones. Good thing this wasn't a first date - messily delicious! We ate outside on a gorgeous April day. Super friendly staff and cute decor. The coffee was just okay. The plastic table covers with some holes and stains turned me off a bit. Got a 1/2 dozen biscuits to go for $11. My daughter flipped for them! I'll definitely be returning!

Loaded breakfast fries $10 (herb gravy, shredded cheddar, fried egg) - enjoyed this Hot chicken biscuit $10 - biscuit was kind of dry. Chicken was good. Hot sauce tasted like generic hot sauce. Speaking of, they have two shelves of hot sauce on the side for you to try Southern belle $11 Need to know more about the video of the black squirrels eating on the tv

Insanely delicious!! Huge portions & good prices. Definitely needed a box to take half home. The service is always pleasant and friendly...totally a "down home country" vibe. No pretenses, nothing stuffy & fussy. Just really good food, perfect ambiance (you feel like you stepped into a little corner diner in the south) and good coffee. There are charming little outside tables to enjoy the beautiful weather we're having. I got the vegan breakfast sandwich this time( not vegan but was curious about the mushroom scrapple) and 100% liked it better than regular scrapple. Honestly, a real hidden gem in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!

The good - friendly staff, incredible biscuits, house made sausage was tasty (but could be a "courser grind" for texture?) the shabby chic decor is cute, and an impressive array of hot sauce occupies an entire wall of the joint. For the price, the portions are large. You order and pay at the counter, and a server brings the food out to you at your table. The opportunities - we asked the waitress what the place's signature dish is - and she recommended the biscuits with Sausage gravy. The sausage gravy on the biscuits we ordered was lukewarm upon arrival, and had a prevailing herbal flavor reminiscent of dry poultry seasoning. If it was held at that temperature all morning, we could be looking at some foodborne illness as it must be below 135 degrees. 100 at best. It wasn't bad necessarily, as I am certain flavor and taste is subjective... but I am a sausage gravy purist and this, to me tasted like a gravy I would use with chicken and dumplings. The chairs are flimsy plastic and uncomfortable, the tables are flimsy, warped and rock as you cut your food with a fork and knife, causing the drinks on the table to spill. There are only three 4 top tables, and a bar height counter with five or so stools inside. When the weather is nice there is an outdoor porch that can accommodate more seating, and it seemed a lot of people use DoorDash for takeout. I think perhaps next time I would order a biscuit breakfast sandwich and be more pleased. The owners' backstory is a good one. The place has some potential, and should keep working out the kinks. At the very least, upgrade your seating experience inside.

More menu options in-person than on the online menu

I stopped to get lunch and was not disappointed. I ordered a classic chicken biscuit sandwich, red coleslaw, mac and cheese and 2 Yoo-Hoos. The chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy, flavorful and delicious. I was initially worried that the biscuit would be too delicate to hold up but it was fine and did not crumble apart as I feared. The biscuit was light, flavorful and perfect with the chicken - I can imagine how heavenly it would be under a blanket of gravy or as a breakfast sandwich. The mac and cheese was hot, creamy and better than most takeaway mac and cheese, the red coleslaw was cool, crisp, creamy and just ever -so slightly sweet; it was a good foil to the flavorful chicken and biscuit - and it would be perfect for the spicy chicken biscuit to cut through the deliciousness. It's only 1.6 miles from work so I WILL be stopping back to work my way through the menu - the menu in-person has more options and there are daily specials as well. Also for vegans, they have vegan scrapple, vegan loaded fries and other options so everyone can get something yummy here to eat. Service was great, friendly, fast and efficient. The food was fresh and hot, there is some indoor seating and outdoor seating AND they also have gift cards. Highly recommended! As good as they have in the South - yes!

The biscuit with mushroom scrapple was UNREAL!!! I had never had mushroom scrapple prior to this day and I was so impressed. Every bite was so flavorful. The other biscuit had chicken and gravy which we added an egg to. I expected it to taste differently, it wasn't as good as the first biscuit but the gravy was flavorful and plenty. At first when I saw the size of the biscuits I thought they were too small but once I started eating I realized that they were so filling! I barely finished a full biscuit! We also had the banana pudding but I was not impressed, I would've been fine without it. I would definitely come back! The employees were kind and the restaurant had a very homey and southern vibe.

Step aside Red Lobster, Blair Mnt has topped your famous biscuits! Light buttery and fall apart in your hand goodness. We were so exited to try this place and drove an hour to check it out. We came with empty bellies and sampled A-LOT of the menu. 1) The chicken biscuit: A full crispy boneless well cooked and juicy breast extends far over the generously sized biscuit. 2) Bacon egg and cheese biscuit: not much can restrain this overflowing toppling tower of crisp bacon perfectly cooked egg and oozing cheese. For both sandwiches despite quality ingredients and generous portions we all agree that although the biscuit is delicious in its own right, is unable to preform the task of a sandwich. A sturdier biscuit should be used for the sandwiches. 3) Pulled pork loaded fries: Yummy, smoky and still crispy even with the toppings. 4) Biscuits w/sausage gravy: A tad on the peppery side but smothered the biscuits wonderfully and he ordered fried eggs to the top to finish it off perfectly. Definitely worthy of 4 stars and for sure a place to revisit. Perfect place to cure a biscuit craving. Would defiantly recommend.

    Berries and Cream French Toast

The French Toast was amazing! No syrup needed as the it comes with a berry compote. They provide large pieces of toast so this dish is easy to share. The Early Bird Biscuit Sandwich: The biscuits that are paired with this sandwich are homemade! I snagged some biscuits to go because I'm a carbo-saurous-Rex (read that slowly). The gravy adds to the savory and crispy chicken. The peppered gravy I sparred well, as it doesn't offer too much of a kick. Parking: There are neighboring shops to the Blair Mountain Biscuit, parking wasn't a problem when I visited. Service: You can sit inside, eat outside, or grab and go. This place is busy! It's very small inside; offering counter seating and a handful of tables. Depending on the time you go, keep in mind, you may wait. It's worth it though! As always, I'm excited for you!

This had the right music playing, high energy staff, and unique food options with great presentation PLUS it's BYOB!! SERVICE While I had already prepared to not be in a rush, the food actually came out in a timely manner and in the right order. (Cuz yall know soooome of these restaurants bring apps and entrees out at the same time .) We also had a newer waitress and she was assisted by someone else, so I'd say the service was pretty good! DRINKS Like I mentioned this place is BYOB (cue angelic music! I love a byob). They provide nicely presented mocktails plus you can get a mimosa tower that comes with a whole show lol. I recommend asking them to pour two bottles of champagne into the tower bc the mix is pretty sweet. The tower also comes with a flight of mixers and the entire thing can easily serve a crowd. FOOD This is an INDULGENT spot. Do not expect a salad. (But also can you add a few healthier things so I can come back more often?? Just asking.) Anyway, most things are fried, even things you wouldn't think of like deviled eggs, grits, sweet potato pie... (We had all three and approve haha but I do wish they'd offer non-fried versions as well.) I saw someone say the waffle wasn't cooked all the way in a review... they make theirs more cakey so it's different than others--still good. For the vegan chicken and waffles I believe they used an impossible cutlet. It's good and fried separately according to the waitress. I love that. Still, I am like 50% sure this is not a vegan meal. Ngl, ion think most blk ppl know what vegan fr is but they trying at least?? Because I'm pretty sure egg, milk, or butter was used so it is vegetarian, not vegan. Overall we really loved our experience and would have lingered longer if we didn't have somewhere to be. I hope this business prospers! I hope you support while also giving grace. We'll be back with friends. Can't wait!

I am looking at my uneaten half and counting seeds ... 1, 2,3 ... NINETEEN totals poppy seeds on half the bagel. Third, the bagel's surface was let's say "flexible" to the touch. Yea ... no bagel crunch to the bite almost soft but still bagelish chewy. But, I did order a poppyseed bagel, right? Fourth, that "veggie cream cheese" had a rather unique taste with absolutely no crisp veggies in the mix just a collection of veggies colorful specks that hinted at the original source. Do they use dehydrated veggies dust to create their Veggie Cream Cheese? Truly a mystery and about a quarter of my bagel ended up in the trash. Don't sit near the door on a cold day because you will sense the outdoors. I will take the blame for this one since I chose my table but I needed the space. The coffee was good ... service friendly and prompt ... and they were busy, which means people not resembling me like their "bagels." So two stars for what I was missing. What??? Seriously? That is the worst, most money hungry question on the planet. What? Are you concerned I'm not going to pay you? Well, no worries. I can actually answer that question. You are actually concerned with what price to charge me. I know this because after I placed my order and said I was paying credit, I was TOLD (not asked) I was going to pay 15% gratuity. Excuse me? First of all GRATUITY is what I pay to say THANK YOU (hence the term gratuity) for great SERVICE. If you answer the phone and push some buttons to put in my order then I have to drive to the establishment, get out of my car, walk inside, possibly wait behind someone else before I can even get my order, then WHERE IS THE SERVICE!!!!????? Aside from the fact that you have omitted part of the meal that I would have enjoyed if I had the time to come inside and sit (soup), you then want me to be THANKFUL?!?! (For getting less and paying more). Shameful. In addition, when I do come in and sit and enjoy my meal, 20% gratuity or better is what is left on the table. Why? Because someone came over to my table and took my order, checked on me, brought me food, drinks, napkins l, straws, a smile, etc. I can't even get a smile through the phone and this chick wants 15%? Disgraceful! AND... if management is forcing servers to take time away from their in restaurant patrons to place phoned in orders... you need to rethink your business model. How about you get up off of your behinds from counting all of your dollars and help the staff get these orders processed. What you need to keep in mind is 15% of zero is zero.
