We highly enjoyed this tour....remarkably it is absolutely FREE!…read moreStart by calling 1-800-866-4485 to make your reservation. Tours are offered Monday thru Friday at 930am, 1130am and 130pm with a extra tour Thursdays only at 6pm. We choose a Thursday 930am tour. Each adult needs their photo id. Cameras, cell phones, purses, etc not ALLOWED on tour, but they provide Free lockable lockers for your use. We arrived at 830am, looked around the Visitors Center and Gift Shop, watched a 25 minute very informative movie on the World's Largest Toyota Plant. When tour began, Judy introduced herself and took us to watch a brief 10 min. Video about the tour. We were escorted to the tram carts, introduced to driver Keith and began our hour tour of this AMAZING plant full of technology and ROBOTS!!! When the tour was over, OMG I wanted 3 things...A Job there, A new Supersonic Red Toyota Camry and to take the tour again!!!! Judy and Keith were amazing The plant is the size of 169 Football Fields over 8 million square feet with 10,000 employees. AMAZING!!!!

And pretty much mind-blowing. Everyone should see someplace like this before they die. I love a good tour, but we're better in this country at touring historical places ("look at the butter churn, kids!"), places that are charming or nostalgic (the Louisville Slugger factory is both), and anyplace that will give us a bourbon tasting at the end. This has none of that, at least for those of us who don't get misty-eyed looking at an '89 Camry. But it's a modern marvel and it's wonderful that Toyota allows the public to see it. Even if you're not interested in manufacturing logistics, the scale is staggering. This square mile of warehouse churns out 2000 cars each day, a working city with a capitalist overlord. For the curious among us, they do touch upon the Toyota Production System, which is officially a Thing, describing in a rudimentary way just-in-time production, examples of efficiency measures, how they balance the use of people and robots so that neither breaks. There are some negatives, however, most of which are unavoidable. Because the tours go through the heart of a noisy, frenzied plant, you won't be able to ask questions or take any photos. It's also really too short a tour, given the complexity of the operation. I would have loved an opportunity for Q&A, at least at the end. And frankly, it's a little soul-crushing. The workers may do very well here, but the plant is a moonscape with no art and no signs of non-human life. Even the lobby is not made for humans. But ours is a car-worshiping society, all the more reason for everyone to enjoy a visit to the mothership at some point in their lives.

I was impressed with how Rob and Tyler were so helpful, but never pressured me at all or used "sales tactics" to close the sale. They went over the Carfax with me and answered all of my questions. September 23, 2025 we stopped by to view a 2017 Colorado as our daughter's 16th birthday gift. We loved the way the car looked and drove, even though I personally felt it was a little overpriced we decided to go ahead and purchase it as it was everything we had been looking for. We financed over $23,000 with our credit union and had the check the same day. We took the truck out for one last test run to go down the road and pick up the check. On the way their check engine light came on, so we took the truck back and they had their mechanic come look at it. We were told it just needed a high pressure fuel pump, no big deal, and that they would have it repaired on them. They issued us a 'we owe' agreement, which is a legal contract, where they agreed to fix the fuel issue. With that reassurance we went ahead with the purchase, and they agreed to send it to their mechanic and when it was finished they would deliver it to us- good as new. They replaced the high pressure fuel pump and got almost to us and then it presented symptoms of a fuel issue with a check engine light so they took it back to their mechanic and had an ECM put in it. 2 weeks after the original purchase they delivered it to us, less than 48 hours after delivery it presented symptoms again and check engine light with the same codes present. Identical. I called and let the manager on duty, Josh, know what was going on and he offered to either take it back up there and have their mechanic work on it again, or if I wanted to take it to a shop local to us since we are a few hours away from them that we could use our warranty and they could pay for anything the warranty didn't cover. We took the truck to a shop local to us, where the truck stayed for 2 months. During this time I did have a few phones calls with Georgetown and even stopped in person once because I was in the area. The shop was unable to figure out the issue, billed our warranty, and we owed $100 and was going to have to take it to a dealership for further work. Shane then refused to cover the $100 we would be out of pocket. We had to pay that $100 and we transported the truck a couple towns over to a dealership. The truck then stayed there for 6 MORE MONTHS! That's a total of over 8 months without the vehicle we were paying $600 a month for! Anyways the dealership had to get GM engineers and technicians involved and after it was all said and done they fixed the issue but after warranty we still had to pay out of pocket $1,594.16. That is a total out of pocket expense of $1,694.16. Not including that we did not have access to a vehicle we actually needed for 8 months and had to make other arrangements to have enough vehicles for every driver to have a vehicle in the household. Not including the aggravation of phone calls, carrying insurance and a payment, and the disappointment of our daughter getting a vehicle and less than 2 days later being told she's no longer able to drive it. I have sent an email to Shane as well as reached out to the office lady letting them know if I didn't get the $1,694.16 I am owed from repairs on a repair they were contractually obligated to fix that I will be making a trip to Georgetown next week and filing a lawsuit against them. I have not heard from them still, so guess I'll be seeing them in court.
