Yes, fast food. They serve breakfast until 11am and that's all I care about. There's just something about the breakfast burritos that keep us coming back. Bacon breakfast burrito, add sausage crumbles with green chile sauce- the go to. The burrito comes with egg, bacon, sausage, cheese, their signature green chile sauce and shredded hash browns on a flour tortilla. I don't mess around with the beans, it doesn't need them. The slightly crispy, salty shredded hash browns I think are what make the burrito, the rest of the combo just comes together. Nothing fancy or sophisticated about the flavors really, just simple and satisfying to pick up and take home on a lazy weekend morning. Fair warning the green chile sauce is hot, try it on the side if you're unsure if you can handle the heat. Oh and it's not the fastest fast food either, they whip it all up for you so it's nice and fresh. Expect a 6-8 minute wait for your burrito. I think it's worth the wait. read more

LOTA Burger with cheese has skimpy patty, and although generous with sliced onions, tomatoes, and a little lettuce (added ketchup to mustard), the sandwich was disappointing, not tasty, and unable to eat more than half. My wife's Blake's Chicken Sandwich was disgusting, absolutely terrible, 3 small pieces of so-called chicken tenders (?) with no chicken meat in the breading! Fries okay. Cashier was friendly. We could see why no other customers in the restaurant. Our first time here will be our last. Not sure how they can stay in business with horrible food like this. read more

A few years back, I took a trip to New Mexico for my birthday. It was during this trip that I fell in love with New Mexico Green Chiles. I tried to sample as many green chile cheeseburgers as I could, in my short time there. After going to the Albuquerque Zoo, we stopped at a Blake's. I had a double Lotaburger with cheese and green chile, and it was one of the best burgers I had during that trip. Fast forward a few years, and during a guys food trip to Tucson, we decided to stop at Blake's in Tuscon for a green chile cheeseburger. I go simple with mine....meat, cheese, green chile and that's it. I placed my order, paid the lady my money, and got my number. (Blake's cooks every single order fresh, made to order.) Here is how it was.............. Green Chile Lotaburger- I unwrapped my burger and noticed something right away. The bun was a little bit "firm". Not sure if it was a day old, or expiring that day, but the bun could have definitely been softer. (My buddies all commented the same thing too, so it wasn't just mine.) I took a bite in, and was happy for the most part. The burger was freshly cooked, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the green chiles were nice and spicy/hot. Some places use a milder green chile (looking at you Whataburger), but the ones they use here at Blake's actually have some "bite" to them. I ate my cheeseburger and left satisfied. If the bun was softer/fresher, this would have been a perfect green chile cheeseburger! Service was good, and the price is fair. If I am in Tucson again, I will try to make it back (Would be nice if they opened one in Phoenix, too! Hint, hint.............). Those green chiles are delicious as can be! read more

This is the best burger I've had in Tucson, and I've been looking. I'm from New Mexico, and this Blake's location is nothing like the ones back home, in all the best ways. The burger patty is a bit thicker than other Blake's, which I like, and it tastes great. My friends say the green chile is just not the same, but I think it's fine. The bun is pretty lackluster. The seasoned fries are crisp and hot and delicious. The shakes are very good. They also deserve points for consistency, I've never had a subpar burger from here, which I can't say for any other burger place in Tucson. The service is awesome. I get my burgers in 15 min or less, every time. If you're from New Mexico, you know that sounds impossible, but it's true! The staff is friendly, and effective. The interior is very clean and surprisingly modern. It kind of blends in with all the updated interiors of every other fast food restaurant, other than the New Mexico iconography everywhere. On Wednesday, June 11th, 2025 my fiancé and I were on a journey to TX. The main place he wanted to make a stop at on the way from CA was a Blake's Lotaburger. We barely made it in time. We left CA after work and barely made it to this Blake's 20min before closing. There was barely anyone on the road and the Blake's employees were definitely ready to close up for the night. But we wandered in, hungry and exhausted. The young men that were working that night were very nice and despite the fact we were coming in so close to closing. They took our order and gave it to us very fresh and delicious. It was personally my first time at a Blake's and I was very impressed with the service, quality, and taste. I wanted to just give a shout out to these young men as well for taking in a couple of last minute customers and giving us amazing service. Thank you very much. Im sorry, I was too tired to think to get your name's, but I hope your manager sees this and knows who was working that night because you deserve praise. So, I've got probably 4 of 8 different ways I could go home from a function that I was at. But I chose to drive down Speedway and stop at Blakes Lotaburger. I was very excited cause I haven't had a lot of burger in a long time. As I was driving up. I noticed the chicken place that I passed was packed, and I drove into Blakes and there was no cars in the parking lot and no one the drive-through. This was at 8:20 in the evening on a Friday night. But I digress. I ordered my double meat, Blake Lotaburger, New Mexico style, which comes with onions, lettuce, pickles, but the most important part, hatch green chilies! I made sure when I ordered it that was gonna have green chilies on it. And I know on the past I feel that they're being a little skimpy on the green chilies, so I asked for another side of green chilies to be put in a cup so I can put it on where I want to. I basically said I'd like to add another side of green chili, but could you put it in a cup." oh, yes, by all means we can." Anyway, it took about 8 to 10 minutes to get my burger and I had one more place to stop so I drove past my home another mile and a half in my good deed errand, all the while looking forward to that hatch, green chili! I get home, get a plate out and I open the bag, and I pull out this little cup of green chili that may has a little over a half a teaspoon in it. Well, disappointed was not a good way to describe how it's feeling. I just spent $.50 on a carryout cup with a little bit of green chili in it. This time I want to see how much green chili was on my burger, maybe they put more on my burger, so I didn't eat as much in the cup. Oh no, they didn't put more on there, they didn't put any on my burger! I was dumbfounded. I order the New Mexico burger, which is a double meat, burger that comes with green chili, and order a side of green chili on the side and I got a crappy little cup of green chili and that's it, and on my burger. They had no customers at that location when I drove up, they had no customers drive up while I was there there was what I think was a manager inside barking orders to hurry up so they can clean the kitchen so they go home on time. I don't know about you, but I could inject green chili into my veins and be quite happy. This really made me angry. If I live close, I would've gone back, but my errand was out by 22nd St. and Kolb, and I had to go back to Speedway and Wilmot where I live to eat my burger. The best thing I can tell you because I'm sure no one from corporate will read this, before you leave the drive-through, open up your burgers, and if you're supposed to have green chili on them, you know, the way they have them on the menu. That way you won't be frustrated like I am. One other thing, I bet you are making more than $15 an hour and they still can't get a stupid order right. Update! After making a call to the corporate office, I had a conversation with the customer service manager, who is also in charge of training. She was shocked at the way I was treated and went on to tell me how they trained their people and why it's so important for them to be trained to Blakes Lotaburger way . She was very sincere through our whole conversation and apologized many times. Without question, she asked me how much money I spent on my dinner and immediately put a gift card in the mail to satisfy my angst. He also said that the following day she was making a phone call to the store manager, and there was going to be, a high priority training session that each employee will be graded on. They will also be under her supervision for the next 60 days to make sure that everything is running the way it supposed to. I was amazed no, I was shocked how personal she took this. I feel much better that I feel I was listening to and that something will be done. That's the Blakes Lotaburger I remember from New Mexico bravo. read more

Attendant missed a couple things I requested on the burger...my favorite toppings. Not sure what happened there. We discovered last year that the closest Blake's to our hometown of San Diego was in Tucson so it was only fitting that we stopped by for breakfast before we headed home. My Albuquerque-native boyfriend is already thinking of ways to visit to Tucson for more breakfast burritos, which are his favorite food. We ordered two breakfast burritos, seasoned fries and an unsweetened iced tea for the road. The burritos and fries were just as good as we've come to expect from Blake's but our unsweetened iced tea was very much a sweet tea instead. It was quite the shock when I first took a sip and I have more of the sweet tooth in our relationship. Even I couldn't drink the whole thing though. Holy sugar overload! We won't let that misstep diminish our love of Blake's though and we hope to be back as soon as we can find an excuse to drive six hours for burritos. read more

OK, the hype about having Hatch chili in your burger is overrated. It's OK. I do like the kick. But it's an average burger. Good bun. Good fries. I rather go to In-N-Out or Freddy's. But you try it and see if it is your cup of tea. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Came from phx with wife to drop of daughter back at UofA go WILDCATS! Wifey for years has been bragging about this place. Fries were nice and hot,crunchy salty outside n soft on the inside.. The burger was (i'm sorry to type) was really disappointing. Tasted like no seasoning on the burger maybe lacking (basic) salt and pepper. All i got was just the heat of the green chilli. I ate just a bite of burger wit cheese n jus plain taste.
