    Cafe de olla

I came here with some family to celebrate a birthday. We had reservations prior so we didn't have to wait at all. We were waited on right away with our drink orders. I got the cafe de olla which was really good! I used some Splenda in it and it came out great. Food wise, I personally ordered the enchiladas and got them with mole. It was so delicious! I was very satisfied with my food and the plate came with a lot of food. My boyfriend got the chilaquiles with chicken which was also very impressive. My only complaints were that the restaurant was very warm inside, especially when you're actively eating. I was sweating for a while in the facility. We also asked for water a few times and it took a while to come. We ordered water when we ordered our drinks at the start and did not receive it until we were done eating. The facility itself is very cute. There is a photo opportunity towards the back of the restaurant. Just keep note the place is on the smaller end so it gets busy quickly and may be crowded to take a picture. The bathroom was very clean and had a cute set up with a diaper changing table offered. Overall, I would return here still. The food was worth the visit despite some slow service. However, I understand the place was busy too. I can't wait to see what i order next!

Food was great and service as well. Little disappointed in timing. Guests arriving after us received their food first (ordered the same things I noticed) but it was only two in my party so confused at the distribution. Otherwise great food would come back

Such a lovely little spot! I came here for brunch after Church and it was the perfect choice The place is small but full of charm , the cultural decorations instantly made me feel like I was dining at a restaurant in Mexico The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the energy here is always so uplifting and warm. I especially love the way they serve the drinks so thoughtful and beautifully done A cozy place with great vibes, great food, and great people. I'll definitely be back again!

Cultura Mex is a fantastic spot in Glendale. We ordered the birria egg rolls, menudo, pambazo, and the tecolota, and everything was delicious. Efrain was incredibly friendly, informative, and clearly passionate about the food and the restaurant. The staff was welcoming, and the food felt very authentic, representing flavors from different regions of Mexico. Highly recommend Cultura Mex and we will definitely be back.

I love this place finally got something in downtown Glendale that's pretty good prices are a little high not too bad I've had the chilaquiles which are amazing I should get those every time but going to try other things the tacos they're not great but they're decent The Omelette was great I like when they make the egg thin and fill it cuz when it's too thick it tastes really weird perfect amount of ingredients on the inside love the crema on top all their aguas are good and the service is always very nice and friendly so what I'm going to mood for breakfast I'm definitely coming here

    Red and green Chilaquiles

We got sat super fast when we got in. I got the red and green chilaquiles super good. Prices were right for 2 people I spent around $45 which is about average else where. I would def come back

Went in for brunch with a friend and it did not disappoint!! Food was good. Although I would suggest to not grill the amazing hand made tortillas so much because the do get very hard when cooling down and it makes it hard to enjoy the taco for all it is. BUT the proteins for the taco were amazing and flavorful. Personally the green chilaquiles were my favorite! Add the carne asada and you'll be lacking your fingers. Our server was also so attentive and kind. Sofi is doing amazing. She even brought out us some freshly made chile en aceite and let me take some home. Overall such a good spot. P.S. music taste in here also veryyy lit and on point

We found this spot from Instagram, they have super cute posts and make the place seem so awesome! So we decided to make our way here post gym. Such beautiful aesthetics from when you walk in, a Frida mural, the logo that has the Aztec calendar and neon lights with green vines really catch your eye. We sat immediately and were given a menu. They have cafe de olla which I tried. Comes out in ceramic mug so Mexican and beautiful. It was so good I didn't need cream or anything (although of course it was tastier with it!). The menu had done awesome items, but we tried the enchiladas and the steak and eggs. I asked for my steak medium and it was more cooked medium but that's alright. Eggs over medium and the potatoes were seasoned so nicely. Came with thick toast too although I enjoy butter and jam, don't think they were buttered but it had a nice toast to it. The salsa macha that it came with though was Bomb. The perfect kick with the steak flavor - which it was seasoned so well. The enchiladas were good. The salsa verde was tasty but felt like they were missing something but I don't know what. Think the dish would feel more complete with rice and/or beans. Our server did try to upsell us to order the delicious looking French toast (saw it walk by us a few times) but wanted to keep it "light" Overall it was good and so cute. Service was attentive for the most part but wanted water early meal and we had waited to get our waitress back until we were pretty much finished with the meal, but they did bring it and we sat and hydrated a bit after finishing. One server had us pay and the other didn't know we had and let us know she'd charge us whenever we were ready. Didn't feel communicative but that was alight too. I'd come back to try the sweet items, ganzito something and tres leches French toast... yes please. Kind of hard to find off the street too, not easy to see signage, we parked a street down and walked until we hit the door.

Food was amazing! We got birria tacos and carne asada fajitas and they were both juicy and full of meat. Everything was great and will come back again!

Been here a couple of times and enjoyed many of their plates although I seem to keep going back for the pambaso. Both the food and ambiance and decore are great, I'm excited to try other items on the menu. Staff is friendly when not overwhelmed - it's a small place and can get quite busy. The only drawback is they blast music out of the corner of the room and the speaker they are using can't hardly handle it. Maybe this is temporary while they work out a different system but it was totally too loud and distracting. Hard to hold a conversation with someone it was so loud....do like the place though, would recommend.

Second -- CASH ONLY There is a Hawaiian inspiration/theme at the The OBH mixed with mexican flavors -- basically if you like a lot of meat with your breakfast then come here. When looking at other people's plates the portions looked very large -- the prices are average -- not cheap but not over the top. I did see someone with a cinnamon roll that looked pretty delicious. My mom had been here one other time and got the cinnamon roll pancakes, which she loved (and why we are here today) -- Nothing was speaking to me on the menu so I just ordered the classic OBH pancakes. I would give them about a 5/10 on the pancake scale. Also they didn't have real maple syrup even to purchase for extra -- they say their syrup is a maple syrup blend -- it wasn't full on plastic but it wasn't real maple syrup. I also ordered a side of scrambled eggs with cheddar -- it was a little runny and overall just average. The coffee was rank -- I would give it a 2/10. Our server was very friendly as was all of the other staff -- that is why I hate to only give 3 stars because it is a great local spot. When we left (around 9am) there was quite a long wait -- so you know it is very popular

But I was genuinely surprised by how great the entire experience turned out to be. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The servers were kind, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. The owner even came by our table to talk with us about the restaurant, their values, and the care they put into making everything from scratch. That personal touch, along with a complimentary dessert, really made the experience memorable. The food was outstanding. The chicharrones were perfectly crunchy and seasoned with just the right amount of salt. The salsa tasted incredibly fresh and paired well with everything on the table. The carne asada was cooked beautifully, developing a flavorful crust from the Maillard reaction, which gave it that rich, savory, slightly crisp exterior while keeping the inside tender and juicy. Overall, this was one of those restaurants that completely exceeded my expectations. Between the warm hospitality, attention to detail, and excellent food, it's a place I'll definitely be coming back to. Trying to book my mom's 50th birthday party was a nightmare. Emails went unanswered, phone calls weren't returned, and I ultimately had to drive there in person just to get the event booked. After finally securing the date, I waited for a follow-up regarding the details, only to discover that the general manager had been let go. I was given the new GM's name and phone number, but despite multiple calls and text messages, I was completely ghosted. This left me scrambling to find another venue with only one month before an important family celebration. No customer should be left hanging like that after booking an event. This was actually my second chance giving Lola's another opportunity because I genuinely like the vibe of the place. The first time, my group of only six people was still enjoying drinks when staff told us we had to leave at 11:00 p.m. because there wasn't enough business to justify staying open. That experience was disappointing, but I decided to give them another shot anyway. Sadly, after this experience, I won't be returning. Great atmosphere means very little when communication, professionalism, and customer service are consistently lacking.

We looked at the website and noticed that they had some gluten-free alternatives for my hubby so that was a plus in our book. First thing we saw when we walked in was all the goodies that they have for their bloody Mary bar. They had over 30 different items that you could add to your Bloody Mary for as little as $14. This included meatballs, and bacon. Everyone that we spoke to was kind and very friendly. Son decided on the peanut butter and jelly French toast, hubby decided on the lemon ricotta and blueberry compote gluten-free pancakes, and since I knew I would be sharing the bougie biscuits. I just ordered two fried eggs. One of the things that was so great about this place -for especially gluten-free eaters - is that they were willing to adjust or accommodate almost anything on the menu in order to make it adaptable. The host, the gentleman behind the bloody Mary bar and our server were very well educated. The restaurant was super cute and had a vibe with black-and-white sayings all over the wall. The food was delicious although my husband said the pancakes were a little dense, but that's to be expected for gluten-free pancakes. Phoenix area ( Peoria) had some really good restaurants to choose from!
