Only stopped here as a "last resort" because we had already passed all the other towns with restaurant options. It was either this or possibly wait a couple hours for another option. The service was fast, the burger looked great, the fries were hot and crispy. Unfortunately, it wasn't a perfect burger because the bun was almost ice-cold. It would have been perfect if they would have tossed it on the grill and warmed it up a bit, but it seemed to have been taken out of the fridge and tossed together. Other than that, it was a better option than waiting it out and finding the next available option down the road.

Love this place! Everytime we're on a roadtrip towards nevada we stop at this place for breakfast and it never disappoints! The views are very pretty and the staff are very nice!

Let's start off by saying, this place is almost like a hidden gem. Although it sits inside the casino, it's actually really good. We were driving back home from Lake Tahoe and needed food, there were big signs on the billboards that entertained the idea of having a great breakfast/lunch prior to our long drive home. We decided to stop here. The service was excellent, they were prompt , reliable and fast. Our waitress was very nice, she was able to provide us with answers to all our orders and even assisted with recommendations. The diner had sufficient room for large and small parties. As the tables sits along the edge of the building, the glass window opens out to an astonishing view of the lake. This diner does feel nice, it felt very cozy and romantic. Highly recommend bringing a date for dinner if you want a lake view seating and good food. I will definitely return next time .

Well let me tell ya sumpthin! This restaurant has a beautiful lake view and is cozy inside ! We rolled in at around 7:00...luck was thats what time this joint opens...lucky fact #1! I ordered coffee while I looked at the menu...it came to me fast, hot and with an amazing smile!!...lucky fact #2 Our server's name is Mary...she greets everyone who enters with a fierce amount of energy and a smile that shines brighter than the sun!!! EXTREMELY LUCKY FACT #3 Now I am sooooo not a morning person...however this morning between Mary, my delish food and the mix of soft rock (the music that is playing has an intoxicating narcotic effect)...I feel so happy and thankful that I pulled over to eat breakfast here!! Over the years traveling up the 395 many times I have always wanted to stop here...but never did...because of Mary...I will make it a habit...she is a gold mine!!! She treats her customers like they are family and long time friends...please treat her well!!! WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Beautiful view of the lake and snowy mountains from our booth

We stopped here for lunch on the way to Tahoe, the food was delicious!!! They were understaffed since it's a holiday but our server told us this as soon as we were seated. The views of the lake and mountains were amazing. We only waited a few minutes for her the take our orders and the food came out quick! Our server was attentive and personable, the food was amazing. Would definitely stop here again. Clean bathrooms as well

Food, service and Ambiance were all incredible! My favorite is the All you can eat Spaghetti It's FAR BETTER than any Italian restaurant I've been too! Breakfast is outstanding (I recommend the chicken fried steak). My wife's favorite is the pastrami Ruben A must try! If you come through this area DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE! ATTENTIVE SERVICE, AND BEAUTIFUL LAKE VIEWS! Also rustic "Lodge" style decorating!

Haylee our server was bright and cheery, great start to our breakfast. Dining area has a breathtaking view of the lake. The place was sparkling clean & spotless. I had the French toast and it was delightful. Thick and perfectly crispy. Bacon & Eggs were cooked to perfection as well. Mimosa was bubbly and yummy, coffee was hot & fresh. We were just passing through, it was our first time here, but we will definitely be back to make more great memories!! Thank you!!

It's been a long time since my family has driven to Topaz but I saw a flyer advertising Thanksgiving dinner here and we decided we didn't want to cook dinner at home. We got sat right away and had a view of Topaz lake from the table. The soups and salad came quickly. The meals came soon after. It was all very delicious. The service was very good. The waitress came to check on us multiple times. We'll definitely come back for more dinners in the future.

Nice view

I almost did not come here due to some of the reviews but I am glad we did. Apart from the fact that there is not much to stop by on the way back from Lake Tahoe, this place is great place to stop at. It has a nice view and the breakfast was great. My family and I enjoyed it. Waiters were attentive and very nice.

This picture doesn't do the real view justice, but you get the idea.

Maybe all meals should be eaten by lakes. Beautiful scenery makes everything taste better. The food is good. Not life changing, but you'd have a hard time finding a more perfect spot to sit and enjoy a meal. Great service adds to the experience. I had the cherry bomb burger, which was a solid choice. Enjoyed the smothering of peppers over the top. The fries were excellent. Lightly battered and crunchy on the outside, they were the perfect side. You need to walk through the small casino to the back to go here. Try your luck at the slots before you cross into California. Unless you just drove from California. In that case, it's time to start losing your money!

* Perfect little caffeine pit stop! *…read more Caught this cute little spot early in the morning on our drive down to San Diego from Reno, and it completely made our day. If you love coffee that actually tastes like coffee (and not liquid sugar), this is your place. My Oat Milk Honey latte was delicious, and my husband's extra strong 4 shot sugar-free latte did exactly what it needed to do for the long drive ahead. The barista who assisted us was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home the second we walked in. The inside is so cozy and peaceful that we decided to stretch our legs and enjoy our drinks at the table rather than rushing back to the car. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're passing through!

There are many individual bagged coffees to choose from. This shop is on the 395 in Walker. Lots of parking in front with plenty of seating inside to relax and enjoy your cup of joe. There is also outside seating as well. We ordered a cappuccino and ice coffee. The coffee is bold and smooth, no hidden flavors detected. The shop has some breakfast and lunch offerings as well as a few different baked goods. They also have a clean restroom for customers, as every good coffee shop should. Walker Coffee Company also has a gift store/fly fishing vibe with hats, shirts, cups, and fly fishing equipment. I also noticed a sign for fly fishing guide service. The shop was extremely clean and the staff very welcoming. This is a must stop when traveling through Walker! Their Summer hours are 7 days a week 7 am - 5pm.

This is definitely in the category of a hidden gem!…read more YTA (Yerington Theater for the Arts) manages this amazing old building that serves as the cultural center for the small farming community of Yerington. Inside this refurbished old grammar school is an amazing little cafe operated by YTA. I used to come to the cafe when I lived in Yerington and it was under different management. I am so happy to see that the Cafe has been revived under the capable management of Roy Enochson, the Executive Director of YTA. A friend and I decided to have lunch here recently. The Cafe is in the lobby area of the Theater and serves as a place to eat, an art gallery and a boutique for all sorts of arts and crafts most of which are locally made. The space is a bit like being in a favorite Auntie's parlor with little tables, comfy chairs and a visual cornucopia of treasures. My friend ordered the lunch special - butternut squash ravioli with a side salad. I ordered the Cafe Signature Salad - a lovely fresh blend of baby greens, apples, cheese, cranberries, candied walnuts all lightly dressed with a white balsamic vinaigrette. I also had a blood orange Italian Soda. The food was all tasty and fresh. Service was vey friendly, but the food was slow coming out. It was worth the wait. Our total bill for the two of us was under $20. While the portions were not huge, the meal was satisfying and the quality was excellent. This is a definite place to stop if you are in the area. It is a fabulous alternative to the fast food and casino coffee shops that are in the area.

What a cool place?…read more Whenever we are out and about and checking out new things, we always try to find some good local coffee. We took the kids to Genoa and after wanted to warm up a bit. This coffee place has always been one that we've seen whenever we've driven out of town to go to SoCal and always said "we need to check this place out someday". Super glad that we finally did, I got a peppermint latte and the wife got a toffee latte. They even have locally made ice cream and the kids enjoyed chocolate brownie, and cookies and cream. The lattes were both great flavored and really well made with beans brewed from Old World Coffee (Reno) beans. Which is our favorite roaster in the area. Honestly with our travels out of state and internationally, we found that Old World has the best roasted beans around. There's plenty of space in the main part of the coffee shop and a side room with a community table and even an area for kids to play and read books. I wish we had a good coffee place like this in the Sparks area. This will definitely be a staple when we're in town.

What a fantastic breakfast spot!! This is a little out of the way from the main South Lake Tahoe…read moredowntown but is well worth the short drive or would be great to hit on the way in / out. I ordered the deluxe eggs benedict, which they kindly added chorizo to in lieu of Canadian bacon; my boyfriend ordered the sausage, biscuits and gravy; and we shared the coconut french toast because we just really wanted to try it! The servings are large but we ate nearly everything, and needless to say we were stuffed! I absolutely loved the chorizo--might be my favorite from a restaurant. The French toast was nearly perfect too, as it was thick and soft / moist but not soggy. I loved the coconut but feel the normal French toast would've been great too. Everything tasted fresh and house-made, as they say it is. The staff was incredibly nice and I believe the owner was at the front hosting people, which goes to show the service, thought and effort that goes into this place! Will definitely come back when in the area again.

The poached eggs were done perfectly and the English muffins were not burnt. (I have, unfortunately, experienced that before at another location.) My sister's breakfast was the corn beef hash, which really did look homemade, (unlike another restaurant in the area that served me what I believed was canned corn beef hash with almost soup texture.) her fruit was ripe. I do believe she very much enjoyed the breakfast. I may not be 100% correct on this, but I was rather disappointed in the hollandaise, it was a bit 'flat'. As far as I can tell, it was not true hollandaise. Most probably it was an egg Béchamel. It had a very creamy texture, a small tendency to congeal on the top, and lacked the bright zing of lemon and buttery texture and flavor of true hollandaise. Indicators, its lack of a slightly translucent and glossy finish, the lack of the acidity of lemon juice or vinegar, and did not weep butter, but instead seem to thicken and form a slight crust as I finished the Benedicts. The egg, Benedict were very tasty, but the hollandaise sauce with disappointing. (I really do like a good hollandaise.)

She came out from the kitchen, and I explained that I simply had to have more of this salsa. Unfortunately, she doesn't sell it in bulk yet. She kindly gave me a few to-go containers and said, "Yes, I'm working on getting it set up to sell to go." I asked what was in it, and although there was a bit of a language barrier, I gathered that it contains several unique peppers--some roasted, some fresh--and then, at the end, she added, "And...
