Chris fees were more than reasonable and Chris and his staff make you feel like family. Forthcoming, trustworthy, tells it like it is! That was about 6-7 years ago. We contacted Chris again to resurface the pool deck, repair the deck drain, remove the diving board and caulk around the pool. All this work done in a timely manner, very flexible on schedule ie: weather conditions high heat temperatures, monsoons, but we finally are done with our pool. We didn't notice the decline at first. Things were maintained to an acceptable level and the team (Amelia in particular) was super responsive. Then, things took a sharp turn for the worst. Our pool started showing signs of pool algae. I had to bring this to the attention of the owner and he confirmed they would shock the pool. Little details down to simply not skimming, leaving the waterfall on, in and out within 5-10 minutes and I had enough. Attached are images of how they left our pool. The owner was quick to point blame on us, while admitting that yes, indeed, they had changed technicians. Avoid this company and seek services elsewhere. We have different standards of service. Colin and Amelia are gems and I wish this business continued success. It's too bad we had to part ways on such disappointing terms after such a wonderful beginning.

I gave Plumbing Express a call and they dug up the lawn to expose a leaking corroded galvanized pipe. Called several plumbing companies for quotes since it was going to be an expensive job to repair. Some companies were not equipped for the job since the piping went under the concrete front patio (need a concrete saw and jackhammer). Others gave me a lowball offer without asking many questions. Others wanted way too much. They finished the job in a day after getting the area blue-staked. They tried not to damage any plants. Replaced the concrete they removed. They took any trash generated with them including excess dirt. Very happy with the job. They were very knowledgeable about the latest techniques in plumbing.

Got an email that things went well. When I got home not only was the vacuum not running but the pool looked worse than it did before they came! It was so cloudy I couldn't even see the bottom. When I reached out the way I was spoken too was shocking! I basically said I was disappointed we were looking forward to swimming. I told them we just bought the home I was willing to buy whatever equipment necessary to use fix the pool. His response was Basically he didn't want to deal with our "crunch time" to want to swim! I can up load the text messages if necessary. Definitely do not recommend.

Over several months, I closely monitored my pool's filter pressure and water quality. On multiple occasions, I had to notify the owner when the filter pressure became excessively high, resulting in cloudy water and reduced circulation. In one instance, I backwashed the filter myself after documenting a 25 PSI reading, reducing it to 15 PSI. On another occasion, I notified the owner that the pressure had reached 21 PSI, and he came out the following day to backwash the system. I also noticed instances where the filter pressures documented in the emailed service reports did not match what I found when I inspected the pool the following day. Those discrepancies prompted me to contact the owner to better understand why my observations differed from what had been reported in the service records. The final issue occurred after a service visit when the emailed report stated the backwash valve would not turn and recommended replacement. When I inspected the equipment later that day, I found the backwash handle detached from the valve housing and immediately sent the owner photos and messages asking about the discrepancy between the service report and what I found. I never received a response to those messages. When I called the following day to discuss the situation, the conversation ended with the owner discontinuing service. I understand that pool equipment can fail over time, and I wasn't expecting perfection. What disappointed me most was the lack of communication when I raised legitimate concerns backed by photos and observations. I was simply looking for an explanation of the discrepancies and an opportunity to resolve the issues professionally, but instead my concerns went unanswered and our service relationship ended.
