Today I waited in line with my Banded Horn labeled growler. I was told the brewery no longer fills growlers. While thinking this was invredulous and dissapointed, I went to retrieve a four pack of the brew I wished to fill. The cashier I originally ordered from did not think it was fair to those who were waiting behind me to let me purchase the four pack ahead of them. She then let me know what a "pleasant person" I was. Internet likes are seemingly felled in the interest of flavor or unique expressions of their craft. Not a single hop, nor grain of malt, nor iota of yeast are sacrificed in vain. Imagine for a moment, a brewer bringing together from the diversity of what nature brings. Has anyone bring to canvas what Van Gogh has? Did Van Gogh have magic paint or special brushes? No, From the same stuff came the unexpected. It is what Van Gogh did that separates ordinary from artistry. Whether you are local, driving by, or even within a reasonable driving distance, swinging into the little hamlet of Waterboro may bring to you a Starry Night. And yes, I meant to circle back to the same allusion. Go there. Drink their beer. We were the only ones in the venue, but nonetheless, the owner was nice and talked to us throughout our experience. Fast forward, and we recently decided to bring a friend to the brewery on a Saturday night. For starters, the venue was completely dead. There were no other patrons (I don't know how they stay in business with the consistent lack of customers) and the bartender was...odd. We went to the bar and barely got a "hello." My friend and I ordered the pale ale offering that they had and my partner got an IPA. The bartender asked if we wanted to start a tab, so we said "sure." We stood there as the bartender turned his back...assuming he would take our cards. We awkwardly walked to a table as we sipped our beers...which we were not a fan of. The pale ale had a weird flavor to it, and the IPA had an odd taste as well. We fought through the taste, as we sat in silence with no patrons and just the bartender. We ended up paying our bill and quickly leaving. It's unfortunate, because Dover has the opportunity to house cool brewery spots, but this one misses the mark between the awkward service and the odd tasting beer. The only reason I can't give this review 5 stars is due to the service. Everyone here is so nice and welcoming so that is not the problem. I have just always had a problem with waiting to have my order taken or the slowness of actually receiving the food and drinks. I noticed the last time I went that people who came in about 5-10 minutes after us got helped before anyone came over to our table. Once our order finally got taken the drinks took another 10 minutes to come out and all we got was a bottle of wine for the table. I am not sure why a bottle of wine would take 10 minutes. I will still continue to love this place for outstanding food and atmosphere but would love to see a better dynamic when it comes to service.

I went with the espresso martini which they offer black or with cream. While my wife got a Tiramisu Martini which was kinda a riff on the espresso martini.
