As we arrived we parked not too far from the actual brewery. We noticed that an event was going on and long lines for beer hinder us from ordering quickly. Once we got some beers we tried a really good milk stout and a few lagers. We sat outside because the inside was quite full with standing room only. We enjoyed our visit to this particular brewery. A lot of breweries within walking distance from here.

Fantastic relaxed setting...live music, dogs welcome, fresh air and sun! Couldn't ask for more!

Located nearby Rising Tides, Austin Street Brewery has lots of outdoor patio seating and is perfect for big groups. My suggestion is if you plan to taste beer at one of these breweries, also try the other one. Austin Street Brewery has a large parking lot and occasionally has food trucks. They don't offer flights of beer, but they will let you try a couple before picking something out and they offer a few difference sizes. So, if you're looking to taste or try a few, you can get your beers in 8 oz glasses. Patina, the pale ale, is their flagship beer. I also tried the Kolsch. I liked both beers. I found the folks behind the bar super nice. This brewery is a fun place to spend an afternoon.

Another great brewery in Portland. They don't have flights which I don't love but you can get small pours of all their beers. They have some wine options as well if you aren't into beer. They serve some snacks but typically have a food truck on site. I'm not a huge beer fan but when they have a sour I typically get it. Large inside and outside seating area, which is great for big groups. They also have corn hole. A fun brewery to stop at, with lots of parking out back as well.

No flights but you can ask for half pours (these are 8 oz each)

Found this place by chance and really enjoyed their local beers. Chill atmosphere with in/out seating and corn hole available too!

Decent little spot. We got here 30 min before closing on a Sunday afternoon. I grabbed the Offset DIPA. $9 was a bit pricey. It was very juicy but almost too juicy if there's such a thing. The outdoor area is nice and private, albeit right next to some dumpsters which can be unfortunate when the wind blows the wrong way. The "beer tender" was very nice and def helped keep up the positive vibe despite cleaning things up and doing last call. Glad I stopped in but probably would hit the other spots nearby first next time.

We made our own flight of beers.

This was our first stop on our personal brewery tour through Maine. We thought the beers were average for how busy it was. The service was fine, nothing great as well. The best part was the outdoor seating and the modern look of the place. I recommend going to some of the other popular places in Portland before this one, but it is an honorable mention on our list.

Out on a Sunday drive to the Riverside area of town. Wanted to check out an apartment neighborhood…read morefor our son. We turned down the road and boom, three breweries!! Had no idea all three were located here, pleasant surprise. I enjoy Allagash white so we decided to stop in. The campus is a good size with gigantic tanks no doubt filled with liquid gold! Outdoor seating area with fire pits for warmer weather enjoyment. Entrance had a woodsy feel to it with signage that was clear to read. In the courtyard you choose which way to go; right heads into the outside beer garden and left brings you inside the brewery and gift shop. Beer garden for us. Seeing that it was covered by a tent thought for sure it was going to be cold inside , we were pleasantly surprised! Decor was paper chains and tissue paper hearts for Valentine's season. They had a creative station for folks to make their own Valentines. Also in the same area was a game bookshelf filled with board and card games to play. At the bar was a young man smiling as he welcomed us. We read the menu and for something different I chose "Cabin Weekend" the name reminded me of our camp in the Western mountains. We both enjoy whiskey so thought the aged barrels used for this brew would make a tasty treat. Grabbed our beers and then over to the food truck attached to the tent, clever. Bite into Maine is the food truck here today, unsure if different trucks come here or not. We wanted something small and shareable. Mac and cheese it was. We sat down at one of the many empty tables and began to enjoy our beers and food. Cabin weekend was so delicious! It was a strong onto 8.9%! Tasty with the faintest hint of whiskey and a cabin feel for the finish. The Mac and cheese was dense and rich!! The fork could practically stand upon its own! It was good in my opinion however don't think I could have finished the portion in my own. We enjoyed so much we will be back for some to bring away with us to our cabin in the woods.

I'm not a beer drinker but the vibes are awesome here! We came for the Inciardi print machine and…read morestayed for lunch from the food truck. The staff were all incredibly nice too!

Several more visits since my last review…read more Some things haven't changed: -- The beers are still great. Swish, Here's to Feeling Good All the Time, Nothing Gold, and Reciprocal are a formidable foursome. At any given time, you can usually get at least two, more often three, sometimes all four. -- You'd be hard pressed (pun intended) to find a better smashburger in Portland, but I'd also put it up against any regularly-offered burger I've had in Portland--smashed or otherwise. I love everything about it, from the high caliber of the beef to the fresh pillowy milk bun to the exhilaratingly strong cure of the bacon to the razor-thin cutting of the vegetables to the execution that gets even a smashburger burger juicy. -- I'm still not crazy about the wings. They have a frozen dinner feel to them. A few things, though, have changed: -- Full service now instead of having to order everything at the bar. That's a plus. -- The place is much more crowded-- including screaming tykes-- on the weekends. Not a plus, but can't fault a place for its own popularity. -- The fries are now the industrial strength coated kind. A big minus and a sad drop off from prior greatness, but better that than from an item off the main cast. -- You can now order beer cans to go from the table rather than having to get in line. A nice convenience. A few things to know: -- It's a surprisingly good option for vegetarians and pescatarians. The veggie burger and the grilled fish sandwich are both much more than solid. -- There's outdoor seating in front of the building and also to the right. -- The bar room to the right of the entrance is adults only, so if those screaming tykes get on your nerves, this is the place to be. -- You can still order beer at the bar if that's your preference over table service. Still a favorite, and the combo of beer, food, and space is tough to beat (Mast Landing and Maine Beer in Freeport are also somewhere in that echelon).

Bissell Brothers is about a good four and a half stars for me…read more We're in Portland for a couple of days and my boyfriend has told me how he's had a good experience at Bissell Brothers before while being in the area for baseball games with his buddies. He suggested we stop in for a late lunch when he picked me up from the train station that's basically around the corner. The place was mobbed inside for the World Cup final, but they still had outside seating available. We chose a quieter section with picnic tables where they had QR codes to order food and drinks from your phone. It's a craft brewery so why would I not try a beer? I got the lime lager. Light, crisp, a subtle tartness, no complaints there. For food we got fries with their house hot sauce, soft pretzels and the hot Maine maple chicken sandwich. The fries were deliciously crispy and the hot sauce had a nice kick to it. The pretzels with beer cheese and mustard were also tasty, however you might want to be careful with the mustard as it will really burn your nose if you eat too much of it at once. Lastly, the chicken sandwich was fantastic. It's definitely a messy one, but hits all the different flavor and texture notes that you're looking for in a good chicken sandwich. All in all a great experience. Good beer, good food, good service and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

As you likely remember we were still dealing with the dreaded pandemic back then. Belleflower has preserved through that and blown every expectation out the water. You could easily make an argument Belleflower is one of the best if not the best brewery in Portland and Maine in general. They nail the IPAs and all variations of them but also can do every other style very well too! In particular for this celebration of their 5th anniversary they released a fruited sour aged in barrels for around 5 years and a double dry-hopped DIPA and both are incredible well made beers! They almost always have a food truck option nearby including a fan favorite of mine, Ironclad Eats! Today they had Smokin Dads BBQ. If you are a beer lover living in or visiting the area you must visit Belleflower! You will have friendly staff welcoming you and will taste some world-class beers! Enjoy drinking your beers on the patio when the weather allows for it for the best vibes!
