AGREED IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARTS I WOULD. Live within a few blocks of this eatery. Previous owners were on the ball. Ordered 02.26.2022 and both my husband and I got a touch of food poisoning.Must have been the produce on our burger/cheeseburger though our large order of fries looked like they had been sitting in the warmer since lunch and were dried out, burnt and no potato inside the fries. I emailed not once but twice and no response....not even I am sorry thank you for making us aware. I called and left my info with a female and never received a call back. I am not looking restitution but wanted to make them aware so that someone else does not get sick. We've been coming here since the day they opened. We made it a point to support our neighborhood joint them through the pandemic. Prices have crept up to be expensive for the fair. The staff here has gotten worse and worse, their attitude is terrible! I went in at 9:45PM and they were counting down the register. I was told the kitchen was shut down since they close at 10. Posted hours on the door are 11-11! Sadly, this place is a faint shadow of what it was.Considering the price of their food now and the bad attitude there are plenty of other places to go in the neighborhood that are more reasonable and welcoming- Brandy's, Snappy Dog, King's, Dukes, Bob-O's if it ever opens. read more

Had my first Blaze-n-Grill burger a few days ago and was definitely impressed. You order at the counter and pay, then pick your seat and your order is brought to you. I ordered the Blazin' Burger-($7.29). I was asked how I'd like it cooked and if I wanted cheese/everything on it. I asked for medium cooked with cheddar and everything else on it. My burger was very tasty, had that nice grill taste, however was cooked well done, and for cheddar, they used Merkts cheddar, which I was unaware of... and didn't really like it. It's a weird consistency-kind of looks like yellow fish eggs or crab eggs, and I wasn't too fond of the flavor. No problem though, it wasn't that bad where I couldn't finish my burger... Although I ended up ditching the tomatoes and lettuce because it kept sliding off my burger. There's a nice little parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. The ladies bathroom was clean and so was the dining space. The menu is large, printed, and placed above the counter. They have a good selection and various types of burgers. I'll be back to try others. 4 stars because if you're going to ask how I want my burger cooked, and I say medium, I'd like to have it sent to me medium. read more

Always wanted to stop here and try their food. Finally did and its right in the middle. Its not great and its not bad. Burger was very big and with minimal flavor. Fries were similar to what you would get at home if you cut up some potatoes and pan fried. for 2$ i got gyro meat on my burger which was a very nice option to be offered. ill come back and try more maybe even eat a burger again but not a place ill be telling everyone to try, but i also wouldnt tell someone to not eat here. I'm really not sure what has happened to this business. I worked in the neighborhood and use to eat there often. The food was always awesome. So I decided to order today via Grubhub because it's been awhile since I had it. Well I'm sorry to say it was the worst meal I have had in a long time. The Merkts (if was even Merkts) fries were real greasy and soggy and the cheese was extra clumpy and tasted old. The Philly steak was dry with very little cheese and over done meat. The shake was at-least good. As for the chicken gyro it was so-so at best. I will give them credit for preparing it and it being delivered fast, but I would rather it take a few more minutes and taste good then have it fast and be pure crap. The food is decently. And I have been there a number of times. Also have ordered take-out a number of times. Today I noticed that they overcharge and do not server what is in their menu... all this without letting you know. Check the photo of the bill. The menu says that the vegetarian wrap comes with cheese. Yet they charged a dollar for the cheese. When I inquired about it, the staff rudely said yea it is extra. I don't know why the menu doesn't say it. In addition to that, instead of accepting their mistake, he arrogantly shouts to the cook NO CHEESE and refunds the dollar. If the menu specified something, and there is a price next to it, then why charge extra without even letting the customer know first. Bad experience now. They are probably ripping a lot of people off. I hate to not go any more cause the place is cool but this is extra ridiculous. And I am sure even one of their customers will file a lawsuits or they should be heavily fined. Bad experience and won't visit most probably. And please hire some friendly staff. Great tasting hamburgers and more. I've dined in a couple times in the past many months since last summer. They offer thrifty meal deals and can pair them with different sides (i.e. salad or fries, etc) or drinks (not just soda). I like that their salads come in a handy plastic container. I can add the dressing, shake it up and then enjoy. I also dig that they offer Mekt's cheddar and give an ample amount for a cheddar burger sandwich. Unlike one of their burger competitors from across the forest preserve that cheaps' out with a nil serving. Service is helpful and often offered with a smile. It's worth the bookmark and the visit. My visits have always been "dine-in" and I've been thoroughly satisfied. read more

I previously left a bad review for this place but thought that I would give it another try since the other reviews were decent and I figured anyone can have a bad day right? Wrong, this place is a joke. I ordered a super chicken gyro and the gyro I got not only was not a super, I would be embarrassed to call the portion even a regular gyro. Food was decent ust not what I ordered. I also ordered a large root beer that was not delivered at all. That may have been the Grub Hub idiot but based on the rest of my history with this place I am going to guess they didn't send it. The service is always fast an friendly and they work hard to get your order ready quickly. I stopped in for a late dinner and ordered the chicken gyros sandwich and onion rings. Started going here during the pandemic when it was curbside only, and I will forever continue to give everyone at BLAZE N GRILL my business! The location is perfect...very clean, and as a matter of fact the young lady was cleaning and wiping down things as I walked in . I commend the following kids , I don't know their names but they usually work weekends and they clearly work their asses off..I cannot imagine working in the heat , with masks, but these employees have been exceptional . Called ahead of time to make sure that I lived within the delivery area. Received confirmation that I do live within a 4 mile radius. Checked Google map myself and I was under the 4 mile radius. When I called back a few minutes later with my whole families order, after placing the order then they told me that they were unable to deliver because I was not in the delivery area. Someone's lying is the first person to second person or Google maps. You be the judge. Generally love this place even though they have gotten my order wrong here and there I haven't ever complained or have gotten chicken soup without chicken, just broth is okay too I guess. Today on the other hand I made a purchase and wasn't sure of the order at first and had a younger girl ( presumably new) repeat it to be sure it was the right order. Thought I had ordered something else at first, yes wrong on my part. But the response from the girl is what had me, she responded after I asked if it was the right order and in a very underhanded tone goes " I said it like three times". Definitely needs to work on the attitude and how to properly address customers without sounding condescending. Love the woman who runs it, but the younger girls need a lesson on how to properly verbalize their responses to confused customers. No one wants to walk away feeling scolded when they're giving you money for food. read more

Best beef joint in Norwood park. Excellent burgers, beef, and sausage sammiches, and the cheese fries are good too. The Greek Salad is also solid but won't win any prizes, but at the same time it doesn't cost $15 either. Great food all the way around. We're regulars and will continue to be so. read more

We originally tried this place out shortly after opening and just recently visited again. Thank goodness for 2nd chances. This place is excellent, and they have a wide variety of food. I went with the Philly cheesesteak and thought it was great. Quality steak and choice of cheese. I went with the cheese Whiz. My son had the wings, and I had to try one. They were pretty good. I'd maybe prefer a little more sauce, but it was takeout so I'm sure that they'd be better if we stayed. Cheese fries - of course. A choice of Merkts or regular. We have ordered here a few times now since moving near by and have loved the food every time! Tonight we ordered online and paid ahead of time. I left a tip online when paying. When my husband picked up, he didn't realize and left another tip. Shortly after getting home, they called us and let us know that we had already tipped them. We told them to keep both! The quality of food is great especially for the price. Not many places like this would cook you a medium rare burger; even if they asked and you request it, but not a problem here! For about 10 bucks you can easily get one of the best and largest burgers around. Have ordered twice now and I think their double burger is the only burger I've encountered that I painfully struggle to finish and not because it isn't delicious, they don't skimp at all on their patties! Not sure if they're half pound after cooking but it darn near seems that way. I love Superdawg but the value is definitely here, and they have to be doing something right to deal with the nostalgia/tourist effect being within that proximity of them. Terrible customer service. The people that work there have no compassion and only care about their bottom line. Ordered dinner online. Picked it up and drove home. Several items were missing from a Greek salad, the basic things that make it a Greek salad. You know, olives, feta cheese, green peppers. Hello... so I called them and they basically told me I ordered wrong on their confusing website. My options were 10 percent off or nothing. I said I would come back and get a new salad. In the meantime my family would eat alone. They begrudgingly agreed. Went there and got the worst service ever from people with a bad attitude. Got back home, everyone was done with their dinner. I've driven by this place a million times, but never stopped in. Finally did yesterday and it was delicious! My family and I had the burgers, fries, a Greek salad with grilled chicken, and an Oreo shake and everything was phenomenal. So fresh and tasty!
