Pretty poor experience tonight at dinner. Line was long and slow and the staff had the attitude that we were bothering them with our business. Poor communication among staff members and it didn't seem like there was much of a sense of purpose. There was a female staff member who was the worst about this. She was very short with us and did not make us feel welcome at all. Seemed like she was the manager/leader of the group. In contrast, there was a new staff member and he was probably the best one there in terms of customer service, actually somewhat cared that customers were there and took some time to talk to us. When our pizzas were finally ready, the staff had to ask us to identify which pizza was ours and upon biting into the pizza we noticed it wasn't that hot. Seemed like it wasn't cooked long enough as it was only just warm and the cheese itself wasn't that melted. Very unfortunate because I've had good experiences at this location before and have enjoyed coming. But, tonight was almost enough to not come back and that makes me pretty sad. JUNE 2018 The service is terrible. We ordered online and our pizzas were not ready until 35minutes after pickup time. We arrived for our pickup and the staff mentioned that they are about to put our pizzas in the oven - minutes later we noticed that they didn't even prepare our pizzas yet. May I add that it was not busy at all! OCTOBER 2018 This is the 2nd review I am leaving because this location is THAT terrible. This is the most unsanitary handling of food I have ever witnessed. The employee cutting the pizza at the end was NOT wearing gloves and when customers requested for the pesto drizzle on top, to mix the bottle before pouring onto the pizza she put her bare finger WITH A BANDAID on the tip of the pesto bottle. That is a safety/health hazard and is just disgusting!! Anytime she was handling the pizzas at that station, she had no gloves on. I highly DO NOT recommend that anyone go here. read more

Every time I come here is absolutely amazing! I'm so used to ordering pizza here but I recently discovered their delicious salads. I ordered the apple cranberry and feta cheese salad and I add my own additional toppings to it. Super delicious and Priscilla is an awesome manager! read more

Not the best dough in the world but I definitely like it the best compared to other chains. It just tastes better and cleaner eating. I don't feel like crap after eating it, so I know it's much better quality. Plus the for the price it's insanely great. I get tons of veggies and a bunch of finishes so it's a flavor bomb! But this was my 2nd time eating at this new Azusa location and both times my gluten-free pizza was surprisingly good. Well cooked, piping hot, and eerily fast. I am super frustrated with the service you get if you place an order online. They had a promo going on about a month ago and the promo code wasn't working, but I was ok with it, since my family really wanted pizza. I placed an order through yelp and grub hub I believe since they were doing delivery and pick up only. The app was supposed to notify me when my food was ready, and never did. Luckily I decided to drive over there around the time it estimated to be ready. The kids at the counter didn't acknowledge or greet me and there was no other customers besides me, but they decided to continue their conversation instead of assist me. I wait a few minutes for them to ask if I needed help, before asking them about my phone order, and they looked so upset and bothered they had to stop their convo to help me. They slide my pizza to me without a word or thank you. I get home and the pizza was cold and soggy like it had been sitting a while before I got it( I live around the corner and went straight home so it didn't make sense).I did the survey and let management know if the situation and they offered me a free byo pizza and drink on my next visit. So then I decided to give them another shot when my family wanted pizza again. This time I order through their app and tried to redeem my free byo offer and you can't do it online, it's just an email that says show to cashier. So I order my family's pizza and drive over to order my byo since I can't have gluten and had to wait for that to be made all while my other pizza sat on the counter again(not sure why they don't have warmers to keep the pizza hot, but rather it just sits on the counter getting cold). I asked the cashier was there a better way to notify us when our food is ready or to make sure it's hot and he tried to be helpful but said they're working on a better way for orders. But so my pizza was cold again and they sent me another in the email that I can't redeem online again so just have to order and sit in my car? Is there any management that can offer a better resolution? My family loved the pizza and it was super convenient but having to rewarm it at home is an inconvenience. And the ordering system needs to be addressed since it's estimated and can't be updated with current order and wait times. Also the promo codes never work online or the app. Willing to give it one more shot cus I can tell if these issues were resolved I would have a pleasant experience. Let me start this off by saying Jessica who works at this location is the bright spot of this eating establishment. I made sure to ask her name so I could mention it in this review. I hope her managers read this because she is head and shoulders above the other employees here and she deserves a raise. Jessica gave me phenomenal customer service, had a cheerful and positive attitude, and was the only one who seemed to care about excelling at her job with high quality service. I wish I could say the same about the other employees working here tonight. Jessica and her cheerful disposition stood out so much compared to the rest of the employees here that I wrote this review immediately. I am in fact still at Blaze while I write this. I love the pizza here, I prefer it to other build your own pizza spots, the dough nots are amazing. But I would never come back to this particular location because the employees- with the exception of Jessica, seem like they would rather be anywhere but here. I'm not expecting fine dining service , but it makes for an awkward dining experience when you are checking out & the cashier doesn't even acknowledge or speak to you . Not even to tell me my total. I had to read the dollar amount on the screen to know my total & how much money to give. Thankfully I don't live in this area so I don't have to ever come back here if I don't want to, but I will say if you have Jessica serving you she will provide exceptional service. Called Blaze, the call was answered by Dillon I asked if he was at the store in Azusa - said yes. He said doesn't know why he will get a manager - never came back and the call was dropped while I waited - redialed same number spoke with James asked same questions if at the Azusa store - said no - an honest answer - Dillion not so much. So Blaze took no responsibility - call was blind transferred to Door Dash - they said will make a call to the store after a while they returned to the line and said he called the Azusa store and they are not being very helpful - hard to get someone to respond. THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE - NO CUSTOMER CARE THEY PREFER NO CONTACT - ONLY ONLINE. IT TOOK (2) CALLS AND 28 MINUTES AND NO FOOD FOR MY STAFF LUNCH. I notice an employee touch money, her neck, and face. With out washing her hands or putting on gloves she grabs a black marker and writes our order on the paper where the pizza sits on. This place is definitely not a place to go to if you are starving or if you have an impatient child. Took about 45 min, went home- The garlic knots were burnt and had been the ones sitting out in the counter since we arrived to place an order. FYI the paper in the bottom of the pizza said Anthony & not Jason so we still got the wrong pizza! We got 2 garlic knots - since my husband paid I have no idea what they cost but dry & cold isn't usually appetizing. My husband had 1 maybe 2 slices of pizza and he said ick & through the rest of the pizza In The trash! My husband will eat left overs of pizza for days! This was a first for me to see! The best Blaze in the area. I live only 2 miles from the West Covina location, but I'll drive the extra 5 miles to come here. Best employees. Never had a problem. Unlike the West Covina location which skimps on the toppings. 1st time I came here was last week. A tall black guy made my pizza and it was amazing. Today was a white guy and he did a great job also. Last night me and my boyfriend were in awe with our experience here. It started off not the best because the girl that was putting the toppings on the pizza you can tell was new and messed up our order. I ordered the raised dough meaning two of the dough together making it thick. She put 1 but wrote down two so that when the cooks put it in the oven they burnt it thinking it was the high raise dough. When my boyfriend and I began to eat it I made a face since I just ate burnt dough and I saw that one of the cooks saw me make that face. They completely took care of us and knew the staff was failing so they recreated our pizza the right way and it came out so amazing. Once my boyfriend came up to get it the two cooks offered us free deserts and more, we are not the type to expect free things but they definitely cared. If it wasn't for the two cooks, I think the place would've went down last night. I wish I got the two gentlemen's names but they were definitely appreciated. On Saturday I came in with my wife and daughter. We were so excited to have pizza but as soon as I walked up to two young ladies at the start of the counter I was ignored. I stood there for a good 30 seconds before I was acknowledged. The one girl who was taking orders not once let me know she was busy and would be with me in a second. Nothing. I was so upset because she did not even ask what sauce or type of cheese I wanted when she finally started to make our pizzas. Her tone the whole time was monotone and unhappy. She just went about her way and didn't speak a word to me. It was honestly one of the worst experiences I've had at Blaze. Every other experience I have had has been so welcoming and inviting. This was such a disappointment last night. I have eaten at the Pasadena location before and was always very pleased. The girl that took my order had no personality. She never even greeted me, and looked like she hated her job. They seemed like they were rushed, and literally threw my pizza together. There was only 2 customers in front of me. I always order the green stripe, but it was awful tasting, I ate one piece and threw the rest out. It had no taste, and super greasy. The sparse chicken was gross. Hello,I am a loyal blaze pizza customer and I am sad to say that I was very disappointed in my visit yesterday at your azusa location. I placed a phone order because I needed to stay on a schedule time wise. I was told my order would be ready in 17 mins. I ordered two pizzas a veg out and a byo. I arrived 20 mins later only to have one pizza ready. I was told that they forgot to make the 2nd pizza. Not only did I have to wait longer for my phone order both pizzas were made with incorrect toppings. I didn't receive any apologies instead employees seemed to not care and were annoyed. This review is mainly for their costumer service at this particular location. I waited to visit a couple of times in case the staff was having an off night before leaving a review. Honestly, their evening staff is horrible. I've been to this location 3 different Friday nights and I've always experienced slow service, young employees messing around, no one in the front when I walked in. There's always a long line and they show no kind of urgency, they're slow and even some toppings are missing. My friend asked for chicken and the girl behind the counter answered with "hmmm yeah but that's kind of empty right now" didn't say they were out of it or if she just didn't feel like getting more. I don't even want to mention names of employees. Over all I feel they should work on maybe getting an experienced shift leader to stay in the store during the evenings to make sure everything is running smoothly. read more
