Don't go here gave me this bullshit ass food and call it pizza.

They throw this slop together and call it pizza. rude workers rushed me out the door because it closed at 10 even though it was only 9:23pm. already cleaning out on clothes then moved dirty wet rag and didn't change gloves to touch my food absolutely terrible what the fuck is that in the picture.

My fiancé and I stopped in for a quick bite. He ordered the high rise build your own pizza. He picked pepperoni, Italian sausage, meatballs, bacon, and mozzarella cheese. I ordered the original build your own pizza. I picked feta, goat cheese, Gonzola cheese, fresh mozzarella cheese, red onions, roasted garlic, chicken, and baby spinach. We also ordered cheese sticks. Tony was absolutely AMAZING!!! Tony gave us the best personalized experience by far of any other establishments! We'll definitely be back!

PIZZA!!!!! Who doesn't love pizza, the good part about this place is you can build your own pizza or go with their speciality pizzas. Prices range from 12 to 25 depending on size and toppings. I spent around 15 which included a build Your own pizza and coke bottle. It's located on a busy area so you can sit down and have a nice view. Customer service was great and the food was ready within mins. Will be back Ps reason for 4 stars is the toppings! (Did not seem fresh), red pizza sauce bland

The young man taking our order was less than thrilled to be working. Then when he gave us the thin crust but we wanted the thick, he was really irritated. I'm thankful we didn't have to deal with him for very long. We ordered half cheese for the granddaughter and I got 1/2 red vine which was delicious. I ate my full half and the granddaughter ate all but a half slice. They do not provide any plates but I suppose we were supposed to use the carry out boxes for utensils. We sat at a dirty table as that was all that was available. The gal working the register and cooking the pizza was the most energetic and friendly of the three employees I saw. One could have been cleaning the dining area. If it were kept up on tables being wiped and a clue what to eat the pizza on it would have been better

It was my first time coming here and I can say I was impressed. When I walked in the first thing I noticed was the scenery and the big oven that cooks the pizza in front of you. The customer service was speedy and nice. I ended up getting the build your own. Regular dough, spicy red marinara, Italian sausage, pepperoni, and jalapeño, plus a regular fountain drink and everything came out to roughly $15.

My husband and I love this place especially in the summer! Choosing our own toppings on a 11inch is probably our go-to. The workers will help with any questions and have always been quick to help with any questions or recommendations for toppings! My favorite part of this location is the seating options. There are booths, high top tables, and outside seating! Such a fun place with music playing that always is a good vibe. We are such big fans of Blaze Pizza and definitely choose this as a regular date spot

I was really wanting to love Blaze. We had wood fired pizza over the weekend and were all REALLY feelin it again. What a disaster... Luckily we ordered online (so it would be ready to eat there when we arrived) since we were short on time. I went to the counter to order a fountain soda and water cup. Another customer and I sat there for at least 5 minutes while workers continually walked past us, not even looking at us. Finally we got someone's attention and we both just got water cups since it was clear nobody would be helping us anytime soon. The picture actually look super good so maybe I would have enjoyed it more had it been correct? My kids cheese pizza was "decent" she said. YES. They were busy. And YES 99.9% of the time I am extra patient knowing that everyone is short staffed. But... this was insane and honestly felt like we were being punked. By the time I got back to the table to finally start eating, I found that my pizza was not quite what I ordered. It had a TON of pesto on it and I really don't like pesto. I wanted chicken on just half and it was on the whole thing. The tomatoes were barely warm (like they put them on midway through cooking or something....). Based on how long it took to get water cups, I didn't bother attempting to get it remade. GF crust was just ok... nothing special. My kiddo went up to get a cookie while I was eating and was completely ignored at the register like I was. She decided to jump in line behind the one customer ordering pizza. 10 minutes later, she was rudely told "that girl will help you over there" and pointed at the register. So back to the register she went. At this point, I finally walked up there and told her I'd get the dang cookie. I only waited a couple minutes before asking if someone could PLEASE help me. Literally all they did was take pre-made cookies, pop them into bags and set them at the front of the oven to warm. When the guy handed the bags to me, he had been handling roasted broccoli (w/olive oil) so the bags had olive oil and bits of broccoli on them. I felt terrible for the poor man that was in front of the oven, prepping pizzas, running the cash register, etc etc. I counted at least 5 employees yet when there wasn't a customer in line, they all disappeared except for the one man who was just trying to stay afloat. At one point, we saw him ask a female to assist him finally (WHY did he have to ask???). She seemed really put out by his request to do her job. She also was nearly groping another coworker who seemed to hate his job. Finally, because we spent so much time simply waiting for water cups and for someone to notice us long enough to pay for a cookie... parking cost us $5. You get a half an hour for free which should have been MORE than enough time. All in all, I spent almost $50 for a pizza that I barely touched, a kids cheese pizza, a cookie and parking. Complete disappointment and not an experience I'm interested in repeating.

I've eaten a lot of pizza in my life - it's probably one of my favorite junk foods and in Des Moines we just didn't have that great of pizza selection - and a lot of it was super expensive. Now we have blaze and I must say this is the best pizza for your dollar. Blaze has fresh ingredients at a very reasonable price. I like that I can get as much as I want and different types of ingredients (GOAT CHEESE FTW!) and I know it's going to be good and fast. Their salads sometimes can be hit and miss in terms of freshness but it's not a big deal. This location is nice - it's in a complex on the outskirts of down town right behind the science center. It's easy to get to but be for-warned it's behind paid gates for parking. You can get your ticket marked at the blaze desk and you get a free hour (maybe two?) but just make sure to do that otherwise you have to pay to leave.

This is a backdated review, lost my phone so had to pull the old one out of archives and the cool thing is it took me back a year or soo. Didn't get to this places shout out soo thought we would dust off the memory banks too and give it some justification; this pizza shop was pretty new and wanted to give it a try, swung through, actually you park, walk past six other great food options then swing through. At first the size options thru me off~one size but the topping combinations are limitless. Nice layout and lots of room to grab a stool and chow down, I took mine to go? Always on the move but the to~go boxes are cool and as I remember not too hard to get into...sneeking a slice or two on the road. Crust is perfectly firm to hold the toppings from flopping into my lap soo that is a winning factor. Made to Order little frisbies are very tasty and worth another try, thanks old phone for taking me back and now I'm sure to take a second slice from this hot pizza place and all the other places next door;)))

Went to get a pizza 17 minutes before closing and was told the oven was off so I couldn't order. That's bad business.

5-Star Plus Plus Review: Green Olive at 1960 Grand Ave, West Des Moines, IA 50265…read more Green Olive absolutely delivered a meal that felt like comfort food and a special treat at the same time. I ordered the combo meal, and it was the kind of plate that makes you slow down and enjoy every bite because there is so much flavor and variety. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, with that perfect balance of warm spices that tastes rich without being too heavy. The beef had a deep, savory flavor and a satisfying bite, and the lamb was the real standout. It tasted clean, bold, and cooked just right, with that hearty, slightly smoky taste that makes lamb worth ordering. Every protein on the plate felt like it was prepared with care, not rushed. The rice was fresh and fluffy, and it did exactly what great rice should do. It held the meal together and soaked up the flavor from everything around it. Then came the best part, the variety of sauces. Each sauce brought something different. One added a creamy smooth finish, another gave a bright kick, and another brought that deeper, bold flavor that keeps you coming back for one more bite. I loved being able to mix and match because it made the meal feel like several meals in one. To finish, I had the cheesecake and coffee, and that was the perfect ending. The cheesecake was smooth, rich, and satisfying without being overly sweet. The coffee was warm, strong, and comforting, and it tied everything together like a great closing note. Bottom line: Green Olive gave me a full, flavorful, and well-balanced experience from the first bite to the last sip. If you want a meal that is filling, fresh, and packed with variety, the combo meal is the way to go. The staff were friendly and kind absolutely OUTSTANDING!!!

We were greeted and asked if we were dining in (it appears they do a brisk takeout business) and were told to sit where we wanted. It was surprisingly crowded for a Sunday afternoon at 4 pm. The menu is extensive and hubby and I both like Mediterranean food. I chose the Falafel plate, served with five falafel balls, hummus, a pita, and Greek salad. The portion was generous (ended up taking two falafel home). Served with tahini and their house green sauce (olive oil, cilantro, and jalapeño) It wasn't spicy but it was so delicious - I could get addicted to this thinking of all the other ways so could enjoy it!! The Greek salad was served with house dressing - garlic and yogurt, also very good. The falafel was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and flavorful. The hummus was not at all grainy - smooth but just a tad bland. Hubby had the lamb skewers and liked them very much. Served with rice, salad, and hummus. He also took one of the skewers home. We both had the mango Fresca juice. A bit too sweet for me but I generally drink unsweetened beverages. Hubby liked it a lot. Service was friendly and we were checked on twice to ask how we liked our food. Generous portions, friendly service, good food, but not inexpensive (with tip, $55 for two) but what is inexpensive these days?? After being initially seated in a booth that didn't fit the car seat, we asked to move to a small half booth in the (completely empty) dining room. One hostess told us that was perfectly fine, so we got settled. Shortly after, another hostess came back and asked us to move again to a standard table where the only option was placing the car seat on the floor, which we weren't comfortable with. At that point, we chose to leave. What was most disappointing wasn't the seating issue itself, but how it was handled. The restaurant was empty at the time, and the interaction felt unnecessarily rigid and unwelcoming--especially as new parents just trying to have a quick, low-impact meal. We ended up going elsewhere and had a completely different experience. Unfortunately, this visit changed our perception, and we won't be returning.
