Even though I was very excited when I found out Blaze was opening in the plaza fairly close to me, I never checked it out until today aka Pi Day! On Pi Day, Blaze offers any pizza for $3.14, my oh my what a steal right?! I came around lunch time with my co-worker (around 12:30 to be exact) and she dropped me off to get in line while she parked. It's a large plaza so the parking situation wasn't too difficult as she found parking close by. The line appears to be long from the outside looking in and once you're in it may appear long as well but it moves rather quickly. In about 10 mins or so we were up in the front and ready to order. You can tell the staff was under a lot of pressure; however, they still greeted us with warm smiles and made sure to say hello. There's inside and outside patio seating and the tables were cleared promptly to allow more seating. I usually order the same thing: Art Lover pizza, no ricotta, lots of chicken, mushrooms, basil, spinach, garlic, artichokes, and that's it. After I paid roughly $3.27 for my pizza, I went to the bathroom and when I came out, my baby was hot and fresh out of the oven. I threw some crushed red peppers on it and it was good to go. I took a bite and my taste buds were in heaven since I created the perfect pizza for my taste. Paying $3 and some change for my pizza on Pi Day was worth it but to be honest, I'd pay full price for the pizza any day. I also think that Blaze isn't as skimpy as other DIY pizza places I know (not gonna name any). And even though it was super busy, I made it back to work within the hour. read more

So me and family decided to give blaze pizza another chance after our previous experience. But this time, we chose to go to a different one. We found one in Eastvale. As soon as we walked in, we noticed that the place itself was very clean even for a busy service. As we began to request for the toppings, the employees went out of their way to add extra toppings for us upon request and made sure our pizza was done to perfection. When we received it, it was one of the best pizzas we ever had. The crust was crispy, the toppings were perfect especially when my little ones were fighting to get the bigger piece. We were very sad that we didn't order a second one. Talk about redemption. This location in Eastvale definitely exceeded in both quality, service and standards. I recently went here for the first time. I'd been before, but to other locations, and quite a bit of time ago. LOCATION: It's in Eastvale, in a big shopping center. 3/5 ATMOSPHERE: It's just like a typical fast-casual place. There's nothing really special, but nothing bad. 3/5 SELECTION: Well it's a pizza place, so they have signature pizzas, BYO pizzas, salads, drinks, and desserts. I like that they're pizza crusts are vegan, they have red sauce that's vegan, and they have a good selection of veggies. They also have vegan cheese and meat, if you fancy those too. 3/5 WHAT I GOT: I got a BYO pizza with their gluten-free crust, red sauce, spinach, basil, artichokes, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms, and oregano. It was pretty good. I'd gotten something similar the times I'd been to Blazes before. The crust is thin and nothing too special, but it's not bad at all, so it's all good. The red sauce is good because it's not too salty or oily. And the veggies all tasted fine too. We were able to redeem a coupon for one complimentary pizza, so our total came to be roughly $11 with a refillable fountain drink! Although I did wish they added more toppings to the pizza (the meatballs look big, but they took one and just broke it into smaller portions and placed it everywhere), it still turned out to be good portions where one pizza would be shared between two people. We devoured as much pizza to our hearts content and had 3 slices leftover to take home. It was so good and definitely fits in the top 10 pizza favorite places for us. Mmmm.... The employees would rather BS with each other than help the customers. They are slow and show zero respect to the customers. It started off hopeful with a friendly greet. One couple a head of us but it legit took us 25 mins to get out of the place. We ordered three pizza's. One gal was trying to man the entire station, another one popped in and then out, out of no where, a gentleman finally clocked in, came to the line and messed up the line up, I got my two pizza's going but then the third went missing. The staff was probably overworked, because their energy was not there, everyone was doing whatever they want, when they want. You couldn't tell if there was a manager on duty. After waiting in line for a while, your eyes have some time to look around, and every corner of the restaurant needs some scrubbing. The vents above the line are caked with dust as well as the walls. Honestly, for as highly rated as this place is, I expected more. Like a hot delivery pizza. Blaze is 2.1 miles away (per their website) and Marcello's at 6.5 miles manages to get my pizza to me hot. Blaze's pie was one ice cube away from stone-cold. And why have "special instructions" if you are going to ignore them? I requested "thin, crispy crust" and got a crust that Viagra couldn't help. Seriously. I don't know how they stay in business. The wife wants to give 'em a second chance after the pandemic eases up, but I'm tired of businesses using COVID-19 as an excuse for poor quality service, goods, whatever. If a pizza house can't deliver 2.1 miles and get it to you hot, then why bother with delivery. Oh, and even if it was hot, I was unimpressed with the pizza (skimpy toppings, sad crust, etc.). Order from Marcello's. You'll be better satisfied. Made an online order at 10:05 pm and had a friend pick it up. When he got there he told me they burnt our pizza because the employee forgot about it...so we'd have to wait to make another. It's 10:36 pm now and I call blaze and ask what's going on. The person who picks up says " I don't think we burnt a pizza it looks like nobody came to pick up your order yet, let me ask my ref" the ref tells him there was a burnt pizza and the kid tells me that " oh did your Uber not communicate with you when they will come?"
