Not all Blaze Pizza locations are the same, this location is my favorite! If you've never given it a try definitely come to the Fishers location. Always clean, friendly staff and most importantly they have never burned my pizza! Ha! I have never had issues with this place until the evening of 3-20-25. (Around 8:20 p.m.) My husband ordered a one topping pizza, and asked if he could get a little extra black olives, since the line order employee did not put that many on his pizza. When time to pay, he was charged for a two topping pizza because he asked to add a little more olives. I mentioned to the lady at the checkout, that this has never happened before. Celebrating Pi Day at Blaze Pizza, and the employees here are enthusiastic and cheerful, despite the long line of customers wrapped around the building. I must have arrived at just the right time because I didn't have to wait outside in the cold but made it inside to stand in line. I love Blaze, and have visited this location several times before today. It's fun to bring a group here because everyone can build their own individual pizzas. I usually order on the app, it is easy to use and keeps track of your previous and favorite orders. Today though, I'm in line in the restaurant because the "Pi Day" special is only available in the store. Pi Day at Blaze is an annual tradition for me so I don't mind the wait in line. Some of the workers including a long blonde hair middle age guy will barely put any toppings on it. My pizza today had to get remade, because it was dropped while cutting it and when I went over to check on it to let them know we had extra cheese there was barely any cheese and 4 pieces of chicken. After ice skating in Carmel we hopped over to Fishers to try this place. The wife and kids have been to Blaze before in Clarksville but this was my first time. I was not sure what to order since a list of available ingredients was not available on the big menu overhead. Too many people in line blocked my line of sight to see what the little cards said. So I just went with a meat lovers and told them I plan to customize it. Instead of pepperoni and meatballs, I substituted ground beef and smoked ham. I kept all the other veggies it comes with and added bell pepper. Kudos for offering ground beef but what they gave me was pathetic. The amount was about a tablespoon dumped dead center. I got 5 slices of ham and that's all. It never ceases to amaze me that pizza joints will completely cover the top of a pizza with pepperoni edge to edge but when it comes to the other ingredients, NO. I don't know if it is too noisy in the restaurant, the staff is deaf, or the masks muffle our speech, probably all three, but they got names, crust choices and more completely wrong after a lot of shouting back and forth. Here is a suggestion. Have order tickets available for the customer's to write their own selections down ahead of time while they are waiting in line. I would be able to see every ingredient offered as well as crust, sauce and cheese options. Subway should do they same thing! I hate yelling all the answers to their questions. I fill out a slip of paper with everything you need to know and then it WILL BE ACCURATE. Another bottle neck in their process is the matching of the brown paper with each pizza while the pizzas and customers just sit and wait. I understand different pizzas take longer than others but even with the metal numbers in the pie, the staff seems overwhelmed with this task. Maybe two folks would be better than one? The pizzas were ok. The wife ate one slice and didn't like the Keto crust. The grandson and I almost finished ours. The granddaughter ate half of hers. It's subway for a pizza!!!! That's right! Think off all the toppings you could ever want to choose from and not having to pay per item as you would when ordering from your historic pizza chains. When I went in to pick up my pizza, I saw garlic knots that I definitely want to try! So I know you're wondering, with such good pizza, why the three stars? Well, honestly, I could not in good conscience tell you to come here without making you aware of the following (at least for the Commercial Drive location): -I ordered my pizza on the Blaze app 30 minutes in advance. Got there, and pulled to their carry out spots. The phone number on the carry out signs didn't work. I had my husband call too to make sure it wasn't just me. Nope, didn't work. -I went in to ask about my order. My husband and I ordered at the same time. My order was about 10 in front of my husband's...and thirty minutes later both weren't done. So even though my order was ahead, still wasn't done and my hubby's was still a ways back. -the app said the pizza would be ready in as little as 15 minutes. I had extended the time. Still wasn't anywhere near accurate. -there are racks to pick up your order. No one calls your order or asks your order name which makes pick up messy. You either A) touch everyone's boxed order looking for yours...gross or B) hover next to the employee cutting pizza to see if maybe it's your order or C) stop the employee cutting pizzas to ask about your order and while he/she looks more and more pizza run behind schedule. So I put my order in at 5 for a 5:30 pickup. It wasn't ready until 6:10. I don't live by Blaze so it was super inconvenient waiting an additional 40 minutes. OMG, another freaking awesome Blaze Pizza. You have to do thin crust with extra sauce. My favorite is red vine version. By not doing balsamic glaze this time makes me realize that balsamic glaze is the best option for this pizza. Remember you have to have extra red sauce because the red sauce is freaking phenomenal. please add salt oregano Parmesan and some red pepper flakes to your liking. We have been here many times, but I just realized that I have never reviewed it. This place can get really busy, but they always keep the line moving. I love that you can make your own pizza for the same price. I have been getting cheese, red sauce, sausage and grill chicken lately, and have become a huge fan. The pizza is always fresh because you sit there and watch them make it for you in the brick oven right behind the counter. I went to the store on April 4th evening and ordered 3 pizzas. When the order was ready I noticed that they handed over the wrong pizza to me. When I pointed it out to the person at the counter, the girl changed the order paper and tried to swap with one of multiple pepperoni pizzas on the table. I was not comfortable since I wasn't sure of the customized sauce I chose. When I was trying to explain that to the girl, a lady came out (who later claimed that it was her restaurant) and started raising her voice against me without even trying to hear why I am not comfortable. She said I have to take the pizza the girl gives me or go back in line. I asked her why I should go back in line for the mistake they made with my order. She kept arguing that I was given the right pizza and went inside. While I was ready to take the pizza that was given to me as there was no other way, the lady again came back from inside without being called for and again started arguing with me about the same incident. This time only to make it more humiliating, she said that i have to leave the restaurant. It was so humiliating in front of my family and other customers. Even though I came for Dine-in, she started packing my pizzas forcefully to make me leave. At this point I told her i don't need her pizzas and asked her to have it herself and left the restaurant with my family. The food is so delicious and I love the variety of making your own pizza but the service has been awful. The first time, we went in was for a PTO fundraiser for a local school and we waiting for the order to be taken in-line for 25 minutes and then ready much longer. The ambiance: the restaurant was dirty, unkept, and unstocked. They are short-staffed and underprepared. The second time, and the "straw that broke the camel's back" was: we placed our order online, we got an email that said it would be ready at 6:21 PM but it was not ready at 6:55 PM. We were told it was in the over, my husband asked about it and was told that someone else must have taken the order and didn't realize it. Then, were told "Nothing they can do about it" Then the staff member had to call the manager and they made the pizza again.... so here it is 7:40 PM and we are finally on the way home with food over an hour later. Love this spot for a quick, create your own pizza. They have a few pizzas already created and my favorite is the Red Vine. It is their twist on a Margherita pizza and all pre created pizzas are still customizable! I added ham and a little more mozzarella cheese to the Red Vine when ordering it for dinner. All pizzas are 11 inches and are a pretty good size for one person or to share if you grab one of their salads or breadstick options! Friendly service and pizza came out very quickly. Dining room is open but they also have a few tables outside for outdoor seating now that this weather has finally gotten nicer! Updating my review. Yet again another fail for blaze. Placed an online order for curbside. Said it would be ready at 7:07. I pulled into the curbside pickup spot at 7:07 and called , I was told they were just finishing it up and would bring it out to me. This Review is For Saturday April 10, 2021 This review is going to be bit different than most my other reviews. Overall I thought of giving this establishment 3 stars, but with the many issues observed and issues we had I fee this location deserves 2 stars only. So before placing the order my lady and I were about 18 to 21 minutes away at a vet with one of or pets in Indianapolis. Before leaving the vet we decided to give Blaze a try for the first time, so we placed an order through their app. First issue is the app on android is not 100% user friendly, because once you place an order you can not really edit your order after unless you start all over again, now typically if we had older phones maybe this would have been the issue, but our phones are fairly new on android 11. Second issue is the conformation said the order would be ready in 18 minutes, so figured by the time we got there, we would pick up and go. That was not the case when we got there, it took about 18 to 30 minutes to get our 2 pizzas and 2 salads. Third issue is when my lady went in and I could see part of the issue from the car is, no on was practicing social distancing what so ever, from the inside there was crowded line for those who are placing an order and then really crowded when picking up the order on the other side the establishment. I will show one the photos I took, as I did not get the other photo from inside. Fourth issue, so while inside I got a text said since they were so busy our order would take a while to come out as their were 3 to 4 customers in front of us with orders even though the confirmation said 18 minutes, so she basically said for all the customers they just could not handle multitasking very well. Also in my opinion if customers are not practicing social distancing due to covid, then the business has the right to ask those not respecting their rules to leave. Overall when we finally got home and tried everything, the pizzas looked good, and as from as ingredients everything was fresh, and had flavor. The salads looks like small portions for sides. As per the pizzas I feel there are other establishments that can handle orders coming in than this place can, and can provide better pizzas as well. Due to all these issues we may not be coming back. honestly not havign customer practice social distancing is a health risk to many because no one knows who has it and who does not have it. I think management should honestly rework a few issues at this location. read more
