Mass holy smokes... This pizza was amazing When I found out, it was a chain. I had to pick my job off the ground. It doesn't taste like chain pizza this was delicious. I ordered an 8 inch don't know what it's called and a salad ... it was so good hold on. I'll look up the name for you. The pizza in my photo is the campfire. The recipe won the best classic pizza in America and I agree. It was perfect. I love that. It didn't have any red sauce on it. It had so much flavor. The crust was really good. The Gorgonzola cheese on it was a perfect choice. I'm still dreaming of this. I actually might need to go back to Indiana or Kentucky just to eat this. The salad was a spring mix with a homemade dijon vinegarette. For a small it had a lot of substance and could've been a meal itself. It had candied pecans, cranberries and crumbled blue cheese. Today was my first visit in 3 yrs. Had inside lunch 3 yrs ago with a friend. When I came home the server had not returned my credit card . Called and the mgr didn't apologize . Cancelled that credit card So after 3 yrs tried this place again . Ordered carry out . Asked for salad with Italian dressing and asked for a receipt . I love coming to Puccini's for lunch. Today, I had the soup and salad lunch. There was only one server for the entire lunch crowd and she hustled and still was friendly and super attentive. The restaurant is small but comfortable. The Tomato Bisque soup was thick and flavorful with fresh basil and mozzarella. I loved it. I also had the house salad which is always fresh and delicious with olives, mozzarella, lettuce and more. So filling and delicious! This local chain is worth the visit. Not sure what's going on at this location. This is the second time I've ordered a pizza and barely any toppings come in it- including cheese. When it's pepperoni and sausage, you would think to put at least one of each pers slice and have cheese that covers the pizza. Would you be happy with that pizza? I almost gave it back but since it took so long, I had to just take it. Also, I was waiting patiently for my pizza after the kid kept saying a little longer. Finally, I stood up, he looked at me and said "oh, i forgot" and then handed me my pizza that had been sitting there. There were five people inside eating so it wasn't busy. When you see the smiling logo, you may not realize that it's an Italian restaurant, but it's worth taking a look inside. We particularly loved the character art on the walls. The staff was great, very prompt with drinks and clearing plates as we ate. We have ordered takeout from here a few times and loved it. On a Sunday evening, we dined in and it was a nice crowd. For our dinner, we ordered a calzone, lasagna, rosemary chicken, and chicken piccata. The rosemary chicken was yummy, but it needed a little extra salt, and the calzone was a cheesy masterpiece. However, the Piccata was not the best. It had onions in it, which threw off the whole taste. I have never had Piccata with onions before, and it lacked the lemon and brine taste that is usually associated with Piccata. The lasagna was not like any lasagna we have had before. It was deconstructed, with very little pasta and a whole lot of ricotta. The flavor was there, just not the lasagna my son was expecting. Nevertheless, we would still visit to satisfy our pasta cravings, but we would try different dishes. read more

My business partners and I went here for lunch. The business was obviously short staffed but our server did really well. We sat down and ordered some apps and salads which took a while to come out but was really good. I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and thought it needed more spinach but it was really good. Growing up, there was a Puccini's pretty close to my house that my family would go to pretty frequently. I remember my parents always raving about the salads. However, it had been years since I had been back, until this past weekend when I got take out. The menu is pretty extensive, with lots of choices including pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, salads and more. It took me a while to decide on something, because I was torn between several options. I ended up going with the Rosemary Chicken Pasta, which comes with a salad and bread to complete the meal. I must say, I was pretty disappointed in the pasta. As you can see from the picture, it was almost more like a soup given that there was SO much sauce. I felt like I was having to fish around just to find the noodles. The amount of rosemary was also a bit strong for me and overpowered the dish. The salad on the other hand, was pretty good and they give you plenty of dressing -- I went with Italian. Overall, 2 stars for the pasta, 4 stars for the salad for an average of 3 stars. That said, with so many options on the menu, I will definitely give this Puccini's another shot and plan to update my review when I do. read more

NEVER, EVER AGAIN! Hadn't been to this joint around the corner from our neighborhood in a couple of years. Last time, our takeout food was extremely late in being made available, but was fairly tasty. Tonight, I phoned in an order. The prep time, 50-60 minutes, seemed a little excessive, but, hey, if the food is tasty.... I decided to run a couple of errands during the waiting period and was informed by text that the food was ready as of 7:35. Arriving at 7:45, I was met with a line of about five people waiting to order food--not unheard of for a pizza joint on a Friday night. When I got up to the counter, it was 7:50. I was told by the guy at the counter that he had no order in my name waiting for pickup. When he finally found my order, he said it was still being prepared and would take another 10 minutes to be completed. I told him I had been notified that the order was ready for pickup. His response? He said, "Well, obviously it's not", turned on his heels and walked back to the kitchen. Unbelievable!Twenty minutes later, my order finally came out and the girl at the counter wished me a pleasant evening (the guy who had been so snippy with me was glued to the kitchen now). I stormed out, vowing never to return, but hoping for at least a good dining experience at home. My wife had ordered pasta Alfredo with angel hair pasta and chicken added. The chicken was relatively good, but the pasta was overcooked and there was NO Alfredo sauce on her pasta Alfredo. With my lasagna, I was given an ample portion, but it was made with a very spicy pork sausage instead of the usual ground beef, pork, veal, or lamb and included maybe two noodles and a great deal of sauce and cheese. The description of their lasagna even used the descriptive word "beefy" not "sausagey." The garlic bread was dry and the salad was about 95% iceberg lettuce. Hey, at least the desserts, which I'm quite sure were not made in-house, were tasty. I'm willing to give them some slack on the timing of the order--they were getting slammed--but the surliness of the counter guy and the ill-prepared food sealed it for us. I've always enjoyed the variety that Puccini's has on their menu, but my go-to has definitely always been the bar 20 (BBQ chicken) pizza with a side salad. So after not having had Puccini's in probably 2+ years (due to not living close to one), that's what I went with for takeout. The size of their small pizza (6 small slices) is perfect. I was able to get 2 small meals out of it since I also ordered a side salad. The pizza was delicious with the great ratio of BBQ sauce, chicken, and onions. I've always loved their BBQ sauce (even more than some BBQ restaurants that I've been to)! The only issue I had with it was that some of the pieces of chicken were huge for the corresponding piece of pizza so it made it a little difficult to eat, but the taste was great so I didn't care too much. Something that I always rave about when I think of Puccini's is their ranch dressing. It's the best. I am kicking myself for not getting 2 cups of it to be able have 1 for my salad and 1 to dip my pizza in it! This is a really good, consistent place for a meal. read more

I have been coming here for years and my favorite all time pizza is the King of Hearts (artichoke hearts, mushrooms, bacon, whole black olives & capers). The flavors are amazing!
