Delicious delicious delicious! The staff were super friendly and patient, as it was my first time there. The Build Your Own (unlimited toppings) is only $7.95, and comes in such a great size. Larger than personal pan, and very filling! Blaze also has an app so you can build reward points towards a free pizza. They also have alternative fountain drink beverages beyond your typical Pepsi and Fanta. Many of them a bit healthier than their counterparts. Can't wait to return! read more

This place is brand new in my neighborhood, so during the Astros game we decided to give it a try. DoorDash has a long ETA, so we decided to pickup. We saw the great reviews and pics on yelp so we were super excited to try Blaze Pizza. Online ordering was a breeze! FYI when you order online, you must pay online, there is no option to pay in store, cash or otherwise. No biggie. The order confirmation stated our order would be ready in 14 minutes, at 7:54pm. Sweet! My boyfriend arrived at 8pm. Now here's where everything falls apart: our order wasn't ready, or even started. At this point, still not a huge deal bc they advertise their pizzas as cooking super fast. We can wait a bit. But then, the manager decided to cuss out the cashier for not having our order ready. Totally unnecessary and completely inappropriate in front of guests. At this point, the BF is uncomfortable and just wants the order and to leave. He had to remind the cashier we had ordered drinks, and then also ask for a drink holder. So when he gets home, we check out the food, totally expecting to see something similar to the delicious looking pics on yelp. We received one cheese pizza with no cheese, but it had pepperoni on it (at least it wasn't burned) a burned pepperoni and cheese and a burned build your own pizza. The chocolate chip cookies were both burnt and one was broken. Our order was 1 pep and cheese, 1 cheese, 1 custom (which was correct, but burned) 2 cookies 2 drinks. Complete comedy of errors. Nothing edible but the Dr. Peppers were cold. At least the Astros are winning! read more

He indicated that he would address my complaint with his employees. I really don't care about a free pizza; I do care about how I'm treated when I visit a business and Justin exemplified how a business owner should react when a customer reports a problem. I ordered and paid online ahead of time on July 23 and arrived at the time instructed, which I have done many times with MOD pizza without problems. Upon arrival, I did not see my order on the pickup shelf, so I waited a few minutes and still nothing, you could also see there was no pizza cooking in their open oven. I asked the staff at the end of the line about my order, and was told they were still assembling my pizza. I was not happy because I ordered ahead of time for a reason, not to waste my time waiting. After 10 minutes, I still didn't see my order going to the oven, went ask again, the answer is still "they are assembling it", which proved later they have not even start working on my order. At this time, it has already been 25 minutes since I placed the order, somehow nobody seems to care or working on it. I got my pizza finally about half an hour after I placed my order, no staff have apologized to me. I am very disappointed with this experience and won't be coming back again. read more

Blaze Pizza is a restaurant that I recently visited, thanks to my family, and I really enjoyed it, because it sets apart from many pizza restaurants that we know, and I really loved it. First, you can choose what base sauce you want, there is a good variety of sauces from the regular tomato sauce, there is also spicy tomato, white sauce, and one with vegetables.Posteriorly the cheese that could be, either mozzarella, parmesan, goat, feta cheese. Additionally, you have the option to choose how many toppings you want to add to your pizza (one, two or any, and depending on this the price of pizza changes) and you have a great variety of options starting with vegetables onions, peppers, mushrooms, corn, arugula; but also you have more options of protein like ham, bacon, chicken, meat, sausage... and you are able to make any combination that you feel comfortable. Also, they put it right away into the oven, and your crazy pizza is ready in 10 minutes or less. Finally, it has a really good price that depends on how many toppings you choose for your pizza. To conclude, i really like Blaze Pizza, because every time that you go, you can try a different pizza, and different combinations. It will not stop surprising you, how ingredients can interact between each other, for a good prize. read more

Blaze is my new found love! Now this is my THIRD review for Blaze for a different location. This one is the newest in Houston. Opening week they had a great promo... FREE PIZZA!!! Of course, long line but wait wasn't too bad. It was well worth it. They had many hands on deck to handle all the pizza. My pizza was always great, however the service was not the best. I cam here a second time before writing this review so I think it's fair. Both times they were a bit slow on getting our crust out, while typically at the Sugarland location they are "Fast-Fire'd!" Granted, they are a new location and maybe they need more training. Also, when it came to adding cheese they were a little stingy. We love Blaze pizza. It wasn't the food that got this review but an employee. An older bigger man by the name of Joe was so unbelievably rude to us. It started when we walked in. He yelled out "NAME?!" for our pizzas without even looking up. As I checked out I asked if I could scan my reward on my phone. After I did he preceded to catch an attitude telling me (very hot and bothered with his hand in the air) that "Now I have to redo all of this bc you scanned it too soon. I have to put this all in again for a .99 cent reward" (Hand in the air while shaking his head). As if reentering information in the computer is such a hard task that takes a long time. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. He reentered the information which only took about 9 seconds. Later on my husband went up there to ask for plasticware and he got an attitude with my husband and slammed the fork on the counter. I'm not sure what this guys problem was but he was awful to have to deal with. We didn't do anything to him to warrant this kind of behavior. Very unprofessional. I hope the owner gets this employee in check. If he is the owner I hope he puts himself in check bc he will run costumers away with that kind of attitude. Yuck. read more

I normally eat at the Blaze at Woodlake, but since I was on 59, I went to the 59 Fondren location.. I got the Build your own pizza for 7.95. When I went to pay she said I had too many toppings and I had a pay a dollar more. I didn't get that many toppings to be charged a dollar more, besides the menu says, any toppings, one price. I went ahead and paid, I told them I always get the same thing, at the other location and I never get charged extra. She said to me.. it's just a dollar. I know it's just a dollar but based on principle it was poor customer service. I won't return to that location again. read more

Pizza was not bad... but I had to ask for a little more mozzarella. Unfortunately it was difficult for me to enjoy my pizza because of the strong smell of Fabuloso cleaner they use. The smell hits you like a brick wall as soon as you walk in. Personally, I prefer the smell of food and fresh ingredients when eating at a restaurant. The pizza is very tasty, my issue with this establishment is the service, it is awful. A lot of staff standing around or to the side having conversations among themselves while the line of customers build. I stood at the cash register with no one in front of my and watched them place my pizza in the oven. I patiently watched it cook to completion, get taken out of the oven and placed on the counter, all while waiting to pay. The 4 staff members huddled to my right couldn't be bothered with customers they had stories to share amongst themselves. This is clearly a management issue to have an entire staff that lacks customer service. I will not return. I have been twice with the exact same experience both times. read more

Blaze is definitely one of my favorite pizza chains ever! I've been to several locations in different cities around the country so I was excited about this one opening so close to my new job. Had I not known what a Blaze should be, I would have probably been more content with my visit. By the same token, because they're brand new, I think they should be cut some slack. I visited about a month ago shortly after the grand opening to build my own high rise pizza (Blaze's version of a deep dish). They were a bit stingy with toppings, and my pizza was slightly undercooked, which made me sad. I've never had a Blaze pizza that wasn't fired to perfection! They were running a special that if you purchased a $25 gift card, your pizza was free. I jumped all over it since I frequent Blaze; however, I'll more than likely be spending it at the established location on Westheimer & Gessner until this one gets a bit more experience. read more

The first time I went, the staff was friendly and quick. I've come here several times after, but they just don't seem to care anymore, even the manager/supervisor. I get that working with customer service stinks sometimes, but I'd appreciate hearing at least a "you're welcome" when I thank them. They just ignore me. My co-workers kept talking about how good the pizza was, so I stopped by on my lunch break. I was not disappointed. It was my first time there, but I enjoyed the fact that you can build your own pizza from scratch and you coyld watch the dough being tossed fresh before your eyes.
