Tried Blaze Pizza for the first time yesterday with my boyfriend and overall, it was a pretty solid experience. If you've never been, it's very much Chipotle-style but for pizza. You choose your dough, sauce, and toppings, and they fire it up fresh in their oven. The bake time was actually super quick, which was great because we were pretty hungry when we arrived. We decided to go with one of their signature pizzas, the Blazed BBQ, and I asked for no jalapeños with ranch on the side. We also ordered their original cheese bread. Nothing really blew me away flavor-wise, but everything tasted good and did exactly what it needed to do. The pizza was decent, filling, and satisfying, and the cheese bread with marinara was definitely a plus. It ended up being a great lunch date spot. My only small critique is that the store itself felt a bit messy. Nothing unsanitary at all, just crumbs on the tables and some noticeable marks on the walls. Other than that, no real complaints. Tuesday 12/30/25 - 1900 Hours. I really love this pizza. Been coming here for some years now. I don't enjoy leaving a bad review, but this is for the staff. While waiting in line to be assisted, you can see the laughter between multiple workers. You just wait till they are finished with their conversations, then they will assist you. We've dined here numerous times and enjoy the build your own process. Our last visit yesterday was disappointing. The staff seemed more interested in interacting with each other than with their customers. We each did end up with a pizza built to our liking except due to the staff person tending the oven and his ongoing conversations, my wife's pizza crust was overdone and somewhat burnt. Rather than return it and wait, she decided to eat what she could. Also of note, while we dined there, we noticed that that floor of the restaurant was littered with pizza and used napkins. During the 45 minutes we were there, no employee came to do any housekeeping. When we left, I decided to use the restroom and that was enlightening. The restroom was dirty, messy and unkempt. Seeing how the staff seemed unsupervised, it's no wonder we experienced what we did yesterday. This will probably be our last visit to Blaze in La Canada. read more

Young lady advise she can get it done in 7 minutes or so. I would still need time to eat after and I still had to wait for it to bake. We often order from Blaze as apposed to other pizza places only because the variety of toppings and self build options. I also love the dough it's really flaky and kinda sweet and it's fresh. I do wish they had fries as one of the toppings , it's really hard to find a pizza places that have French fries or potato's as pizza toppings. So I get down to the cashier and i see the salad... I asked how much is the salad? The cashier said $8.95. I said, "Does that look like $8.95 worth of salad? Go add some more to it" So the cashier goes to the first person who takes the order, and comes back with the tiny salad. Now he says, "this is the side salad". I ask, "Is the side Salad $8.95?" He says, "No it's 4.95 (or whatever the price was)". At this point I'm so OVER IT. I was willing to pay $8.95 since I ordered the full size salad, the fact that he brought back the exact same side salad and didn't offer to correct the order was beyond. He was not competent to comprehend the request, nor did he offer an apology for attempting to charge me the full price for half the salad. I don't know if people have gotten out of practice of having good work ethics or unable to focus on the job to do it well.
