When this Blaze opened in Monrovia we were really excited. For a fast, fresh, inexpensive, pizza, you can't beat it. The last 2 times we have been in to this Blaze, it has been dirty, unorganized, the salads were wilted and the employees just do not seem to care. I suspect there are Management problems (at the very top) and it is affecting the employees, that is usually true. I really hope this Blaze can get its act together before it is too late. read more

Food is good "Take-out" fast food. My kids love it. I only give this establishment 3 stars because of the service. Most of the people who work here look like high school students. Not sure if the staff is always new or they lack training but the toppings line is soooooo SLOW. The kids are taking their sweet time placing each individual topping onto the pizza dough while there are 15 people in line. Most of the time they skimp on the amount of toppings on the pizzas so we need to request more. There were a few times where our pizzas looked seriously burnt so the manager issued a refund and redid the pizza. The manager onsite is very nice and knowledgeable but he can only do so much by himself. Sometimes the tables are still dirty so customers need to wipe it themselves. read more

On 7/1/19 around 7:45pm I went out for dinner with my wife and 3 kids to Blaze Pizza in Monrovia. My 5yr old daughter and 3 yr old son had been waiting all day for their favorite simple pie. We got a big table near the entrance and begin eating. Pizza was great and I finished mine early and decided to go next door to Vons to buy a loaf of bread while my family finished up. When I returned I saw my kids visibly sad and my wife flustered. I asked what was wrong and she told me that a random person from outside came in and took my kids two slices of pizza away and left. I was in complete unbelief. We sat close to the door and my wife's back was turned away so she didn't see the person coming and it happened so fast according to my wife that she had no time to really react. I immediately reported it the nearest employee who tried to find their manager. The manager was on break and on her phone and I didn't want to bother her. Another employee named Bryan or Brian stepped in noticed that I didn't want to bother the manager on her break. He went above and beyond and reassured me and calmed me down. He told me that kind of thing has never happened before and apologized for the whole situation. He fired up a new simple pie for my kids and even offered my kids a cookie to make it up. Even though it wasn't Blaze Pizza's fault that this happened he showed a level of customer service that went above and beyond. He turned a terrible situation into a situation where I will always remember in a positive light. He was an employee that showed that customer service was a core value. I really appreciate his willingness and ability to fix the situation and I believe his actions embodies what customer service should be at Blaze Pizza. Again big props to him. read more

Everyone at the 11/2 1pm crew was hustling and multi tasking. I've been here since the opening of this location and what stood out was that I've never seen the person who's cooking the pizza (and boxing them) not only do what she has to do, but support her teammates in the front with the toppings. She found time in between to strategically allocate her time elsewhere. Teamwork at its finest. The cashier also doubled down and exemplified incredible teamwork by also finding time in the front. We were with our son and the entire line staff was patient and kept composure customer after customer. This place is quick, easy, and the pizza is tasty. I'd personally recommend treating this like a treat - don't make it a habit to come here too often, but when you do, go all out with whatever you like. It's definitely a thin crust pizza, so watch out for that! If you're a picky eater or or just a plain Jane, stick to the lower priced options. They have the whole build your own pizza aspect as well as single topping or just cheese for a lower price. They also make an effort to be inclusive of dietary preferences(gluten, tomato allergies, etc). The drinks are also pretty lit - standard sodas and all, but they have some nice lemonades going on right next to the machine. It's also free refills while you're in the restaurant. Overall there is a lot of good seating, quick service and great place all around. I'd recommend picking a "restaurant name," however, as the servers will ask you for your name and write it down without bothering to even hear or clarify what you said. My husband and I love blaze pizza and have been to multiple locations. The majority of our experiences are very pleasant. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for this specific blaze establishment. Every time My husband and I come in, I have a new unpleasant experience from the fact that the tables are rarely ever wiped clean, the beverage station is under stocked and a mess constantly, but most importantly the rude staff members who are not paying attention to customer requests and giving attitude. i'm writing this review after multiple experiences as we are local to the area and i have been helped by many different staff members. read more

BYE pizza, seriously what more can you ask. Blaze have so much toppings to choose from, that is almost impossible to stop yourself from picking everything. This particular blaze have a huge dining place and a good parking lot. I must warn you though, do not come on their busiest time. They tend to rush and end up putting the wrong topping on your pizza. One time I wanted to order a squash salad and there was none available so he took the time to make a new salad and gave one to me personally. I'm mainly posting this review because of how bad the customer service is at this location. It seems like each person, man or woman doesn't like their job. They truly make it known that they don't want to serve you by giving off that typical crappy retail service vibe. On Saturday November 17, 2018 they just straight up closed down shop at 11:20 pm. Why bother even saying you're open until midnight if these wanna be adults working here are gonna deliberately close early. I probably won't be returning to this location because it's getting to the point where you just flat out feel unwelcome. Also, most the people working here look like they're at least in their mid 20s. It's pretty pathetic that they'd carry this level of unprofessionalism with them at an establishment that gave them the opportunity of employment. read more

I've been to the Blaze location in Old Town Pasadena and think it's pretty good pizza. This review is for the horrible way we were treated on their grand opening day. I received the link for "free pizza on opening day" promo from my friend via Face Book. I "liked" Blaze on Face Book from the comfort of my own home using my laptop. My friend, Daddy, Baby, and me all met up at 5:30pm and jumped in the looong line to wait for our free pizzas. As we're waiting, an employee of Blaze came through the line, stamping hands. Apparently the only people who were allowed to have free pizza were those who had their smart phones in hand and "liked" Blaze in front of her face. I explained that I was not aware (since the promo did not state any such rules) that I needed to have a smart phone to participate in the promo and that I "liked" Blaze from home on my lap top. She smiled and said, "I'm sorry then." So the dude in front of me hands me his phone and I flash Face Book to this girl and she stamps my hand. When I asked about my friend, Daddy, and Baby, she said they would all have to show her their Face Book pages and "like" Blaze before she would stamp their hands! WHAT?! So, I hand the dude's phone to my friend and she flashes Face Book at the girl. The girl says that she has to log into Face Book and show her the "like" before she would stamp her hand! I then asked about Baby (she's 8 years old) since she obviously does NOT have a Face Book page and she said that the Baby's parent would have to "like" Blaze before she would stamp the Baby's hand!! Hellooooo! I know that Baby is a bit darker than me as she resembles her Daddy (who was standing right next to me), but to infer that I am not her parent just pissed me off!! I told her that the Baby was my child and she grinned again and said, "I'm sorry" as she tried to skulk away and stamp some other hands. She seemed to be encountering the same scenario with others as she made her way down the line. NOTE TO BLAZE MANAGEMENT - Not everyone in the world has a smart phone and even if they do - they may not cradle it in their arms 24/7 like so many people do these days! There was nothing in the promo that said that this offer was for people who owned smart phones only. This type of exclusivity is not a great way to do business. We took our money down the road to PIZZA REV where we enjoyed a superior product and were not made to feel like jerks because of our lack of technology. Get it together! read more

I feel like these quick-fire build your own pizza places are all the rage right now. After starting my new job in Monrovia I decided to stop in to try this place while I'm scoping out my new lunch options. Overall the service was a little slow. People were friendly enough, but I waited about 20 minutes to order and get my food which doesn't make for a "quick" lunch break. Pizza was good but nothing spectacular. I wish they had more options for crust like Pieology does and it was a tad pricey. Overall, I would go back if my co-workers were going but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. read more

I know a lot of people have Blaze Pizza near them, but MY Monrovia Blaze Pizza is the BEST! The ingredients are always extremely fresh. The pizza is delicious and just as importantly the employees are the very best, nicest, most accommodating, hardest-working anywhere. They barely have time breathe and yet they always have a smile for you. I've gone in when it's extremely busy and when it's a littler slower between lunch and dinner and no matter what time the employees always do their best to make you feel that you are valued as a customer.
