I placed a telephone order, and there were a couple of mix-ups with the address and the toppings for the half pizza. However, the pizza itself was really good and ended up being a hit at our potluck. I have never in my life had a truly bad pizza, until now. The crust had no flavor, the cheese had a weird almost gritty texture and the Ceasar salad dressing was just bizarre. What a truly disappointing experience and what an epic waste of money. I do not recommend. read more

I've been here on and off since their original location in north Arcadia. I don't think it's particularly that special of a pizza restaurant but I actually really enjoy it because they sell by the slice. I typically order the Omar's Special or Brooklyn Special. The venue is not big but it's bigger than it needs to be. Feels a little old but it's maintained and clean. Plenty of seating for what has usually felt like few customers (nowadays I think most people take pizzas to go and don't really sit in to eat) and the staff are very nice. Parking is basically the street parking in front of the store. The menu is quite large and part of it is the fact that any pizza can also be made into a calzone. I mostly only come here to get the 2 slice special: 2 slices and a drink for about $10ish. Sometimes they have more slices than are on display, and honestly it's possible they're reheating some in storage, but it tastes fine to me so I'm cool with it. Omar's is banging. 18" with extra cheese + any toppings is a surefire way to a delicious pie. I don't know what it is about the cheese they use but it's the main reason I keep coming back. I think it might have lower moisture but it has a sort of bite to it. It's not just melted amorphous goo but has some structure and chew which I really enjoy. The bake on the pies is floppy - you aren't going to get a crunch on the slices except for maybe the crust. They also tend to be a bit saucy - similar to VPN margherita pizzas. Some may dock points for lack of crunch or for the sauce level but for me, it works incredibly well together. If you want any adjustments or a longer bake, I am sure the staff would oblige. The topping distribution is always appropriate. Never have I felt like they skimped or overwhelmed the pie. I've only had the pepperoni and italian sausage and both are as you would expect. Their pricing overall is competitive versus other joints in the area but it is really the taste of the pizza that brings it over the edge for me. To bring the entire experience together, the staff is also incredibly warm and endearing. They treat you like family and after just a few visits will remember your name and order. read more

We ordered a large meatball and green pepper pizza. Very disappointed. There was maybe half a meatball on the entire pizza, though plenty of peppers. The crust was the worst. Ordered a brooklyn special 18", buffalo wing, antipasto and caesar salad. For 4 adults and 3 kids... tho the kids didnt eat too much of it. It was a lot of food and kind of on me that we over ordered. However i got to try a good variety of things because of that! The brooklyn special was kind of nice. It was a thinner crust and had that nice toasty,charcoal flavor on the bread. Im not a pizza expert, so not sure if theres a term for that. The wings were good but there were still feather on some of them. The buffalo sauce was on the side, might just be the way we ordered it, but oh man was that sauce spicy. I called as I wanted to place a half half pizza and didn't see that option available online. 5 piece boneless wings (bbq): the boneless wings were all different sizes so there weren't really 5 of them. I didn't like the bbq sauce as it didn't taste like bbq sauce and was hard to say what flavor it was. garlic knots: they come looking very seasoned however I thought the garlic was on the bland side. the knots however were a nice consistency. 18" half bronx half garlic chicken: overall pizza was okay. This location was an old pizza place some years ago and I decide to try it all over again. Glad I did ! Had the popular Brooklyn special loved the thin crust enjoyed all the toppings just needed more pieces of sausage. Omar's Special Large size pizza comes in clutch on those weekend nights when you don't feel like going out but you also don't want to cook. I've had the Omar's special probably more than 10 times now. In fact, I've never had any other pizzas from Omar's. Why would I? It gets the job done every time. They probably make plenty of different flavours though. Take out preorder by phone works quickly but be ware they might not pick up the phone if they are busy. It happened to me once. I came by on a Sunday and ordered the family special two large pizzas. My favorite is mushroom with double the mushrooms plus the other pizza was a peperoni. The pizzas looked great but that was about it, because they tasted bland and the dough was of poor quality. I usually devour the whole pizza including the crust but not this time. The service is quick and I only had to wait about 15 minutes for the fresh pizzas. Came to this place while on work break, saw a sign for a 2 slice special with a drink for 8.99 what a deal! When I walked inside, the clear display only had half of a cheese pizza so I figured the slices were made recently or fresh to order. I got my food withing 5 minutes which I thought was odd but figured they had some ready to go. I got to my work truck to eat and when I opened my box I could not believe what I got. What looks to be old pizza from the night before, reheated with melted mozzarella on top. It looked like the type of pizza 7-11 has on display. Old, nasty pizza. I had a strange experience here. As an employee handed me the order, he showed me his phone and told me to watch a video. I noticed above the video he told me to watch was me. It dawned on me that he was recording me and without my consent while tricking me to watch a video. I asked him why he was doing this, but didn't give much of an answer. I told him to delete it. I'm not sure he did, but hopefully he did. I told him he needs to ask permission. He then claimed that by having the video visible above was him being transparent and asking, which of course is not acceptable. I have no idea what his intentions were, but it was creepy and totally inappropriate. I wouldn't recommend this business solely on this encounter. Very mediocre pizza. Mostly, the crust tastes insipid and cheap. It's as if it hasn't been allowed to rise properly and also the cheese is very bland. Very disappointing, especially since when this pizzeria first opened as Uncle Red's pizzeria, the crust was fantastic, the cheese was stringy and flavorful, and the ingredients were top-tier quality and taste. Then they rebranded as Omar's pizzeria and at that point the quality and taste of the pizza immediately took a dive. We have had frozen pizzas just as good as this pizza. read more

When this place opened back when I was in high school, it was fantastic. Loved the white pizza with ricotta. Omar has since sold the business and moved on - he's no longer affiliated with this Omar's Pizza establishment. Seems like the new management has cut corners a bit. I also used to be a big fan of Omar's meatball pizza, with thick, round, meaty slices of meatball on top. I love pizza. And I love Omar's. This is a no-frills NY-style pizza place. I buy these pizzas in bulk. Awhile back I got 8 pizzas for a party. A few weeks ago I bought 6 pizzas at one time to bring to another friend's party. Yesterday I ordered 2 to bring to yet another party. Every party I bring these pizzas to, everyone loves it -- And asks me where I got it from. It's Omar's in Arcadia. You can order pizza at the regular size, or the larger size. For value, I always get the larger size. Comes out to about $25-30 per specialty pizza, no matter what pizza you get. You can order online via their website, or use the Slice app. If you do bigger orders, better to order via Omar's website because the rewards cash back makes more sense than the Slice app rewards program. There's different guys working the place whenever I go. Not always super friendly, even when I pick up 6 or 8 pizzas in one order. Sometimes they open the pizza boxes for me to confirm the order, sometimes they don't. Even though it's not all that friendly with these guys, nor do they seem to appreciate it when I spend $170 to $260 (includes tip) at a time on pizza....I still give them 5 stars because I really do love their pizza. Totally recommend them for the food. Only you can decide if you can overcome the I-don't-care-if-you're-a-good-customer attitude. read more
