If you have a quick craving for pizza, this is a nice place to go. You can get a personalized pizza in a matter of minutes but that's probably because I was here in the middle of the afternoon before it got busy. Blaze had a nice selection of toppings to choose from but, be warned, putting too much topping will result in a soggy crust. If you don't care about the crust, then, by all means, ask for all of them cause the workers don't hold back. Overall, it was a good experience. Nothing amazing. Not the very best pizza in the whole world but damn good, hella-cheap and more toppings than you can shake a stick at. This is thin crust too and I mean thin. Don't be afraid to slow down the staff and make them put more stuff on your pizza than they just did. Uh, cheese, could you put some more on. Uh, pineapple, could you put some more on. Et cetera, et cetera. Go crazy and try more stuff than you normally would like roasted garlic etc. It's fun and oh so flavorful. Pizza is just the right size, so no worries there. Absolutely amazing pizza spot! I love the concept and execution. My hubby and I were thinking of going to our usual spot nearby but spur of the moment decided to try BLAZE out as it's only 3 blocks away. The service was fantastic; there was no shortage of employees even on a Wednesday night around 9:30. It works kind of like a Chipotle line but with super friendly folks that acknowledge you by name as they pass your order down. My hubby said,"you can have whatever you liiiike"....only $7.69 for any and all toppings you want. SCORE! We got the Meat Eater and the White Top. Both were ready in 7-10 minutes. Dammit ( yep dammit) they were tasty! Even though we finished both, one pizza would've sufficed for a not so greedy couple. ;) I noted that students from Le cordon Bleu were eating here as were several employees. I take that as a positive sign. We'll definitely be back. I took one star off because my hubby hated the website which doesn't list any prices. Also, when we tried to order online there was a 50 minute pickup time. We walked in, ordered, and finished before that time passed. Do yourself a favor and order there! Loved Blazed Pizza.!!!! I alway order the gluten free dough with the green stripe with a little bit of red sauce. We have tried the BBQ and margarita.... All very good. first time I went, I'd ordered online and picked up for take out. it was really great, and the service was pretty good. Most of all, I mean, to be able to order from yelp (link provided) and choose the p/u time is, in itself, really great. the pizzas were good, but the lemonade was too sweet. Oh well, just don't get it next time. which is exactly what I didn't do the second time. Went in for a sit-down meal, and I love that you can order a pre-concocted pizza and then customize THAT to make it your own. So I got the Art Lover, but wanted some spice, so added the spicy red sauce and banana peppers, only to realize there weren't any meat! So I sprinkled a bit of applewood bacon. it turned out great and I loved consuming a fresh out of the oven pizza. the price is just great, and I shared a drink with my sis who was equally pleased with her white pizza. read more

After having gone to the Alhambra Blaze Restaurant this past Wednesday, then going to the Blaze Restaurant in Glendale this past Thursday to get my pizza fix, I was very disappointed with the pizza at the Blaze Restaurant this past Saturday! Both Alhambra and Glendale were 5 stars. I never tried Blaze Restaurant before, but after my first taste I was hooked! What made the pizza different in Pasadena was that the pizza was slight burnt giving it a charred taste. The pizza was good but not deserving of a second visit. I tried to tell the staff at the Pasadena Location, but the cashier referred me to a "young tall guy" who simply blew me off and never got back to me to where I was sitting. I know someone else before me was also not happy with the level of service and was complaining about the delay in her order so I figure that the Pasadena location is going through some management problems. Someone referred me to Pieology in Padadena, so I will give it a try. At least in Alhambra and Glendale I will go to Blaze. read more

Fast casual experience, build your own pizza concept is entertaining. Kitchen was very chaotic, feels like being at someone's home kitchen, long counter of spills and stuck on food bits. Employees looked tried and done with the public, think Homer Simpson pizza. I got a simple margherita personal, stand recipe must mean put down the least amount of ingredients: pinch of cheese, five leaves of basil, brush of sauce and burn the bottom like it's homemade. And gluten free option must be for the marketing; people suffering from celiac's disease can not consume anything at Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza. Went to Blaze pizza today and had a great experience like usual, but what made it amazing was the the great customer service from Sergio! My order was was for Togo and I forgot to mention it at the beginning. I told him about it when I went for part of my order and he did not hesitate to do so. He has great customer service and Blaze pizza on Colorado always does their best to give their customers great satisfaction! Wonderful customer service! That alone deserves a 5-star. Not to mention the food was quick and delicious!! It's my first time giving blaze a try and I would definitely come back again. I've found most build your own pizzas are around the same price and they're all delicious. My only complaint is that their sauces were sweeter than others, like pizza press. I got half red and half spicy red sauce but cannot taste the spiciness at all. I literally had to keep pouring red pepper flakes onto my pizza...it could be that the pineapple took away the flavor a little, but I've done the same thing at pizza press and their pizza turned out spicy just like I wanted it...not sure what's up but I don't mind it too much. I'm from SD and my friend insisted on bringing me since I was visiting. This place is great!! The customer service is outstanding, and everyone working was super nice and seemed to be having a party going on. Jack started my order then handed it off to Hugo who took it from there. Then Pedro and Brenden finished off my pizza with half white and red sauce. Pedro loaded me up with extra pepperoni and other toppings and jammed it in the oven. The cash register girl (who forgot her name tag) was really nice too. My pizza came out almost instantly, which was great because I was starving. The $5.50 for a full pint of Lagunitas was also a great feature. Overall, my experience was great and I couldn't believe how great the customer service was. I can't wait to go back. We FINALLY were able to eat here and LOVED it! They are a well-oiled machine. We had our pizza in less than 5 minutes! I was so impressed with incredible assortment of toppings. I was kind of expecting more of a subway-type pizza with sub par crust and toppings. Not the case. They had amazing toppings - goat cheese, artichoke hearts, carmalized onions, and kalamata olives! First you go through a Chipotle-like ordering process and pile all the toppings you want for under 10 bucks, then watch as your order is tossed in the oven, wait a few minutes and... piping hot pizza, you can then add your fresh arugula topping if you want. The pizza is a delicious pie of goodness, wether you "make your own" or choose from the specials, every order is as yummy as the next. Don't pass this place by if you happen to end up this far down Old Town Pasadena. Oh, URTH just opened across from it and URTH serves one of the yummiest Pizza's around as well: PIZZA CATONA but, you'll be spending double for this urth pie compared to Blaze. read more

Place to be if you are gluten free. When you order the gluten free crust, they ask if its a preference or an allergy. When I say allergy, they prep the crust with a separate machine in a protective sleeve so it cannot get contaminated (not sure what happens if you say it is a preference). So YUMMY! First of all, let me say that if you're wrapped up in the Chicago vs. New York debate, this place isn't for you. For a normal person that just wants good food, Blaze serves up a totally customized, tasty thin-crust pizza. I got the Art Lovers pizza, with a little extra garlic. The sauce was really great, as were all other ingredients in general. My pizza was cooked perfectly, as was my boyfriend's. My boyfriend has a dairy allergy, and pizza is one of the things he misses. Blaze has both vegan and gluten-free options. We have found other pizza places that have dairy-free offerings, but Blaze is far and away the better quality and since you can build your own pizza, he has a lot more options than any other place we've been to. I'm glad we live so close, because we'll definitely be back. read more

Great concept and impressive business but still not a good pizza. If you are out somewhere and your only choice is between a fast food restaurant and Blaze, then, yes, Blaze would be a good choice. Signature personal size pizzas are less than $8 - a bargain. The pizzas are done Subway-style. Behind the counter is a line of people who take your order and place toppings on your pizza. You continue on to pay cashier while your pizza pops in the oven for a minute or two. Very efficient, even theatric, especially for the first time. The topping choices are good, varied and tasty. But here's the rub... The crust is a major disappointment. Very thin and browned/charred nicely, the crusts on our two pizzas were both soft and soggy. How they can make the crust visually look crisp but actually soft and soggy I don't know but they did. Sorry, would not go out of my way to return. read more
