Parking: street or parking lot(1 block away) I'm not giving this place a 5 star because the workers cross contaminate meat and vegetables using the SAME GLOVES! Food: amazing pizza. Nyc born and raised bf ate more than half my pizza which says something coming from a self-professed pizza snob. I like how you get to pick ur toppings. Just be careful with the tomatoes as they can make the center of your pizza soggy. Location: nice location right on colorado near a bunch of stores. Parking: kinda sucks. Street parking can be difficult. There's a lot a block north that I've had to resort to on occasion. They have half pizza boxes in the store for those who can never finish their meal. Ok. So blaze is one of the best thing that happend to the revitalization of the once dead-at-the-struck-of-5pm Colorado Blvd.,.... well next to urth at least. Blaze made the outcome of the idea of fast food pizza is on point, which was lackluster on my dismal visit at ideology. Their pizza I would say, I would give b+++ . Well of course I wouldn't say that their pizzas are at par with what I had on my visit at Naples and Lazio but, for a quick run pizza, it was hella good. I suggest order the $7.65 one where you could customize your pizza at the direction of your palettes desire. Staffs. They have an army of polite, couth, mannered staffs, who always dont forget to suggest what's good. Oh yeah, make yours GLUTEN FREE DOUGH, its upon request, and your pizza will turn out crunchers and almost thin crust-y! I have eaten at a good number of Blaze locations and I must say that this place takes the cake. The staff are super friendly, and the food, well it's Blaze so you know it's fresh and delicious with ingredients aplenty. According to the owner it's the flagship location where all the managers train. I'm from NY so I know good pizza. I'm my conversation with one of the owners I made a small suggestion for truffle oil as an added ingredient (Posto and Vezzo in NY come to mind) and he was very open to the idea. This is like the Chipotle for pizzas and it's cheap too! I'm not a fan of pizza (weirdo, I know) but I got to make my own with whatever I wanted on it so it was fun and great. Would definitely go here again and recommend. Parking is street though, so that's a bummer. This is the McDonald's of fast pizza. I got a salad today and they added a smidgen of chicken and Gorgonzola. They also included a stain of dressing on the side. I can't complain about the flavor except certain things like the lemonade were too strong. The family likes it and the dining area is clean and lively. BTW I'm overly critical of food so three stars and mild disappointment from me should not scare you off. I hate McDonald's but still go there for the kids. read more

Love the concept! Service is friendly and expedient. The pizza is consistently cooked well, with fresh ingredients to choose from. I am still amazed that the pizza is cooked so quickly, but the end result doesn't taste like it was just nuked a few minutes in the microwave. The wine and beer choices round out a nice dinner, well-valued at around $12. Parking is my least favorite part, with the recent building construction taking up what was once a convenient lot. Not a big fan of the pressed dough pizza machine. But, as I mentioned in another review, it can be tasty. However, Blaze Pizza had way too many toppings going on and their pizza was just not that great. We also had their salad. Their salad tasted like a Starbucks salad. I'm sorry that I have to post this review, but I think this is something that needs to be shared in a public forum to ensure that management does something about it. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. I was eating here today with my husband and two-year-old son when I felt something stab me in the tongue. It was kind of way back on the side, so I had to spit out my food and reach back in there to try to grab it. When I finally got a hold of it, I had to pull pretty hard to get it out. It must've been in there kind of deep. What I pulled out was a curved piece of metal, a little less than an inch long and very sharp. I was just sort of staring at it in shock for a minute, dabbing the blood from my tongue with a napkin and rinsing my mouth out with water, and then my husband said I should go tell the manager. So I went up there and spoke with a nice lady named Chloe I think. She apologized sincerely and refunded the cost of our meal. I appreciated that, but what really bothers me is that this situation could've been much worse, and could happen again to someone else. What if I had swallowed it and it got stuck in my throat or in my digestive system? I might have had to have surgery to remove it. What if my two-year-old son had swallowed it? According to Chloe (or whatever her name is), the piece of metal was probably a bristle from the wire brushes that they use to clean the pizza ovens. And according to another gentleman who came over to speak to us afterwards, this has never ever happened there before. Again, this doesn't really make me feel better about it, because if it could happen to me it could happen to someone else, and I didn't hear them say anything to indicate that they would change the way they do things to ensure that this doesn't happen again. Hopefully this review will encourage them to take this seriously. I just did perhaps my strangest google search ever - "stabbed in the tongue by a bristle from a wire brush at a pizza place" - and to my surprise a few things popped up. Apparently this has happened to at least a handful of people before, at pizza places and backyard barbecues. Every now and then, a bristle from a wire brush will come off and end up in someone's food, and then in their mouth or worse. Apparently there was a guy who swallowed one of these things and it perforated his intestine, and it took doctors a few days to figure out what it was. Anyway, I am lucky because my son is fine and I just have a sore tongue and am shaken up a bit. I don't think I will be able to eat at this place again, or maybe even any other pizza place for that matter. Needless to say I didn't finish the rest of my pizza today, and am now feeling kind of queasy from this whole experience. read more

I would have never thought that a "fast food" styled pizza place would make my absolute favorite pizza around, but they do! I don't like a lot of dough like they have at other competitors and no one likes chewy pizza. My ideal "style" of pizza is New York style, thinner crust with a lot of cheese! I can build my own pizza, just the way I like it with fresh ingredients that's done fast? Yes please! Plus it's inexpensive and with the Blaze app I get free stuff every so often like soda and whole pizza! The restaurant is always clean and the staff is friendly. I really like this place. We happened to walk by it on the way to the movies last Sunday and went in. We hadn't experienced the 'make it your way pizza' concept before and we really enjoyed it. It gets very crowded at times but well worth the wait! We came back with our son days later to try it out again and it was just as good or better than the first time. The management and staff are just a delight, and we were able to meet some upper management of the Blaze franchises to hear the story behind the craze.We were also happy to hear there is one coming to our town soon! I love that the employees are so friendly - that seems so rare these days. We will be making Blaze a frequent stop for pizza! 3/2 I have to update as we had a really bad experience Sunday. The lead/manager Michael for the day was very rude and unable to handle the rush at noon. I waited for 5 minutes while my finished yet burnt pizza kept being pushed aside for the freshly cooked ones to be cut. When I asked for the rest of my order he yelled at me. This pizza is ridiculously irresistible! I work right up the street and it is my go-to place to eat! It amazes me that I haven't tired from Blaze. When I am in the mood for pizza, I always want Blaze. Not only is this place totally customizable for less than $8 for a personal size fast-fired pizza, but the toppings are always super fresh and flavorable and the crust is tasty and perfectly crisp. They have both gluten-free and dairy-free options and for those of us who are indecisive with our toppings, there is also a menu that includes salads. The line gets long around lunch time. Parking can be found behind Vroman's Bookstore. The only thing I don't recommend is the s'more dessert sold at the register which tastes a little dry, but maybe I'm just not a huge s'mores fan. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR CHEESE PIZZA. All the pizzas cost the same, so if you want cheese pizza go anywhere else but here. We waited in a ridiculous line out the door to get a cheese pizza for my 8 year old. It may only take a few seconds to bake, but 30 minutes in line was a total waste. They start with the dough; a mechanical press makes the dough, which looked very gummy, into a perfect 11" base for the pizza with a perfect little raised crust around the edge. Then in our case, choice of sauce, choice of cheese and then into the oven line. A minute or so later it is cut an in a box. That's where it should have stayed. Not good, the kid dint like it either. I have to say everyone in there looked super happy to eat pizza loaded with toppings. It is pretty much get as much as they are willing to pile on of everything. But if you strip that all away and just get the basic cheese, it's a huge let down. I have to mention the smell too. It smelled weird. Maybe its the dough, maybe the oven, but it was off-putting. read more

Pizza is good. I ordered online. Tip: In order to get any service, you need to basically walk right up to the cashier and, regardless of what they're doing, say you need to check in. I stood under the "Online order check-in" sign for about 5 minutes and no one said anything, finally asked the guy cutting pizzas how I was supposed to check in, then it took me several more minutes to get the attention of the cashier because I was trying to be polite. The pizzas are really good and price is reasonable. There are pre-built ones or you can build your own. They have all kinds of ingredients to choose from, including roasted garlic, arugula, basil and artichoke. There are different sauces such as pesto, red sauce, and spicy red sauce (they may have a white one also, not sure). And various meats - salami, pepperoni, chicken... etc. One can order online too, but they only take credit card (unlike Papa John's, where you can pay cash at the register). The employees are friendly. There is dine in option - inside and outside. But the parking is really bad. There are only street parking, which can be a pain to find. Anyway, I really like the concept. It would be odd to give Blaze a low rating since the pizza you order is completely customized to fit your taste. It's awesome how you can put as many different toppings you want on your pizza with no extra charge. The only downside would be that you don't get to choose what type of crust you want. The crust on the pizza is really thin and most likely will not support the mountain of toppings you probably have. I ended up having to fold my pizza slices in half in order to prevent my toppings from falling or sliding off my cheese. Other than the crust, I am completely happy with Blaze. It's definitely worth the price, especially since I ended up splitting with a friend. read more
