I am highly disappointed with this place. My first time ordering through the app for myself and my coworkers on a busy day at the hospital and the pizza was absolutely bad and badly cooked. The customer service and food being cooked should be the same through the app as it is in person. One of my slices had only a piece of pineapple. My other coworker found 2 hairs in her pizza, unsanitary. The pizza being served in the hospital kitchen is way better. This place is low effort. Don't waste your money at this place, you're better off at Pieology or Mod pizza. read more

Ordered here 3/21/2121 in the afternoon. I was bummed to find how careless this location has become. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that they prep orders without their customers watching the assembly line during COVID19. For now, you're expected to order online. First off, be wary that you don't place it under a name that's different than the name on the card you use to pay. The receipt prints out your order in such a clunky way that doing so would make it confusing for the employees (name on card is printed in much larger font). Anyway, once you order, you're just directed to another part of their website that states the order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. There is no live tracking of your order so 15-20 minutes is a ballpark estimate. We get there at exactly 15 minutes after placing the order and find that the pizza had been ready and was sitting under the heat lamp for...well there's no way of telling, (ordered a Red Vine by the way). It also already had that not so attractive look that pizza's get when they're out of the oven long enough. In any case, that wasn't much of an issue for me. The real bummer was how inconsistent the pizza tasted. The Red Vine used to taste soooo damn good, balanced, and there was something in that mix of ingredients that gave it such a gourmet flavor. It's what made me absolutely love Blaze! This time, it was lackluster. It was light on the basil and they were unevenly spread out. The flavor of the ovalini just ceased to exist. Perhaps it was also how it was a bit overcooked. Maybe it was because it was sitting under the heat lamp so long. Hell, maybe it was an old Red Vine that was cancelled and they were still catching up with orders. This might be a long shot, but the marinara sauce also tasted way different than I remember. I truly hope they haven't made a change in their marinara distributors because it tasted pretty generic. Again, it could have been an old pizza but that's what made this experience not so great this time. I would love to go back again but definitely after customers are allowed to order inside. read more

Food is good, but I question their cleanliness as the girl taking my order was wearing gloves, grabbed a handful of meat in both hands, I didn't order any meat on my pizza as I've been vegetarian for seven years, so when she was about to put it on my food, I said no no no. Then she asked me what did I want so I told her my two veggie toppings. She proceeded to go pick up the veggies for my pizza with her hands that we're just full with the whole handful of salami. I had to ask her to change her gloves Before she touched anything else which as a customer I shouldn't need to ask the employee to change their gloves when they're handling a raw meat item, then going to handle veggies. A lot of the vegetables also had cross-contamination,(dirty line, meat crumbs / pieces in every bin) so I was very limited with the toppings I was able to get I wouldn't reccomend unless you want to watch the employee carefully and really look at the line items as lots of them were mixed up. read more

In the beginning of the pandemic Blaze had great pizza and service. The prices were descent as well. However, now that we are a year + into it. They kept messing up the orders. Putting the wrong topics or wrong types of cheese. Then they were not doing orders on Post Mates. I went to their website to order online and there are several error messages. I just wish if they were not using the services or not offering them any more, do not stay registered on the site. It is very misleading and a disservice to customers. read more

Nothing more satisfying than ending your day and trying to buy dinner, only to have to stand outside and freeze your arse off while you try ordering on the useless app. By the way, the Special Instructions section has a character limit so you can't make sure they don't screw up your food. The reason they are getting 1 star is because of there terrible service and customer services. They called out my boyfriends name for his order and a lady took it by accident, which they acknowledged and did nothing but stood there and laughed saying, " that's your pizza" ! They can't expect someone to just go take that pizza from the lady ... they are the ones working here , go do your job right instead of standing there like 10 years olds giggling. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. There was about 10 employees working when I went and they were all playing and talking behind the counter while the place filthy. The floors were full of trash. There was spilled soda on the floor that dried and no one cleaned they just put a wet floor sign over it.not one clean table at all.Wish my kids didn't love this place . It seems no one at all is managing this place. If this place actually has a manager they obviously don't care at all. Or maybe the employees are mistreated and they hate their job? Just another one of the great eateries that the Azalea shopping center in South Gate has to offer, Blaze Pizza is your go to spot where you can customize your own pizza. You can either make your own or choose from the many different kinds they have here. The pizza is a personal size, with about 8 small slices to enjoy. On this day however, I had decided to eat here before going to work. I had heard so much buzz about this place, so I then had to try it for myself. Wow! I opted for the Art Lovers pizza which has artichokes, mozzarella cheese, red sauce dollops and pepperonis. I believe the pepperonis are put upon request. For drinks, I had their blood orange lemonade, which was a bit tangy for me, but finished it nonetheless. The time for the pizza to be ready was about 10 minutes. Service was quick and efficient. I was able to enjoy my meal in peace. There is a vast amount of seating here. The best part is this is some of the healthiest choices to eat around here! read more

I tried visiting this location many moons ago but I was in a rush and the line was very long so I decided to eat somewhere else. Today, I was finally able to try this place out and it was great. I decided to go for the customized option but they do offer a menu with lots of variety and options. They also have an endless amount of toppings to choose from. I decided to throw italian sausage, pineapple, spinach, salami, mushrooms, jalapeños, and chicken on my pizza. Don't judge! I was starving. The staff was nice and friendly. Being my first time there I wanted to take my time to pick out my toppings but I felt rushed and I didn't really like that. After creating my pizza it was time to pay. My masterpiece cost around $11 with a fountain drink included. Not bad considering the amount of toppings that I chose; my pizza would've cost me a lot more elsewhere. I sat down and waited no longer than 10 minutes when my name was called. And finally the taste test. Guys, the pizza passed! It was so good. I heard bad things about this place but I now see that they were wrong. The cheese was gooey and stretchy, the toppings were fresh, the sauce (traditional) had great flavor to it. I sprinkled parmesan cheese on top of my pie and devoured half of it. It's very filling. All in all this is a great place. The interior is pretty big and there's lots of seating available. This location is clean and family friendly. I cannot wait to come back and create another tasty masterpiece. read more

I received great service even tho they were 4 mins from closing. The pizza was good, but we did take out and when we got home it was soggy. I would recommend dine-in. Great variety of toppings and friendly staff. 7.95 unlimited toppings. Ample parking. Don't forget to tip, the staff splits it equally at the end of the night. When I was there (at closing) they were disappointed, but not in a bad way, of their $2 per staff tip. I will definitely come again with the beau. read more

Encountered one staff member who seemed flummoxed by the idea that we didn't understand how Blaze Pizza worked, even though we told her we had never been before (hey--not every Build-Your-Own Pizza place is the same, you know!) She looked liked she didn't want to be there. Encountered the next staff member, who was as pleasant as the last person was unpleasant. He loaded on the toppings (and proceeded to make fun of me when I asked him for extra pepperoni on top of pepperoni), and rang me up like a boss. Pizza came out hot and delicious, but not so terribly hot to the point where my tongue gets burnt and icky. The sauce was a little bit watery which was a disappointment--I was hoping for that thick, tomato-ey paste. Toppings sort of fell all over the place but I suppose this is avoidable by using fork and knife. Overall, this isn't my favorite pizza place, but I'd be willing to come back as well as try the other locations that seem to be popping up all over the place. Whoop whoop! read more

Very delicious and different. They are set up like Subway and Chipotle you see exactly what they put in your pizza. The bread/ crust is standard and so its the same for all orders; thin crust. They have a great variety of cheeses and toppings. You do need to form a line like Chipotle and i would expect it to be long on some days. Friendly staff. Standard price of 7.95 to create your own or select a signature pizza. If its one topping its 6.45. My husband and I shared ours and we were full but some people would be able to eat it themselves. Subway style pizza! Always a great concept for any food place... I love that you can get as many toppings as you want for one price. There are many different combinations to try. You can take ideas from or alter their signature pizzas. I choose all the veggies I want and like to get red sauce dollops (Art Lover Pizza) on top, finished with a pesto drizzle (just basil & olive oil, no parmesan cheese like pesto usually has). The end product looks like a real piece of art that is mighty tasty! For $2 extra, you can get vegan cheese or a gluten free crust. Customer service was great. This is located in a plaza that is fairly new. There is ample parking. Tip: The crust is ultra thin so it's best to have it right then and there and all at once. I couldn't finish my pizza and with all that good sh*t I put on there, it was already starting to get soggy within 20 minutes. So be sure to split with someone or come very hungry. read more

They don't charge extra for every single topping but you pay set amount of $7 to customize your pizza anyway you want. You can choose various different toppings they offer and some of those are quite exquisite. Neat about this place is that they make your pizza right away from the brick oven. Once you place your order, waiting time is around 5 minutes and you can enjoy your fresh out of oven pizza right away. You also have to try their smores cookie which they put right in front of the brink oven to warm it up for you. It's quite a treat. I had this place bookmarked for months since a lot of people raved about it. Not impressed, pizzas we're ok not too many ingredients to choose they also didn't have different flavored crusts. I still haven't tried Pieology but I tried Pizza Studio and I prefer that over this one when it comes to the unlimited toppings trend. Crusts a little burnt but I'm impressed w/ the high ratings here... Especially if there are a lot of pizza aficionados like myself. read more

AMAZING!! What a wonderful experience. I loved this idea of making your own pizza subway style so much that I have taken my family, and everyone has been super satisfied. The service is great, everyone has such a positive attitude and the place is very clean and has the perfect vibe. Perfect and safe for families, and cool and fun for a hng out with friends. My review is for the customer service provided by Lee at this location. The person in front of me asked for extra cheese on their pizza & she provided a few extra crumbs, which I thought was very rude of her. When it came to my turn she was rushing through my order & made me feel like I couldn't ask for extra toppings because she was already asking about items that were in a different section. When it came to the zucchini (which they're almost always out of) I asked if they had more & with attitude she said she would check.
