Great conversationalist throughout our dining experience. Gave us insight on different things about the restaurant and what to expect if we come back different nights. There are several different seating areas. While there were no live music the night we were there, the playlist from the music that was playing was amazing! Like I could have come all by myself, sat at the bar and listened to music and been just fine. We really liked that the menu was not huge and overwhelming. Easy to make a selection. While we all liked our food (my husband and two teenagers) there wasn't a wow factor. For the prices, kind of need a wow factor. Although the wings were delicious! And I rarely eat meat. Let me begin by saying how the hostess is as lovely. She is as very pleasant and checked on us often. Baby those fried brussel sprouts were the bomb. I loved the sauce on my lamb chop. The turkey wings had a tad too much lemon for my taste. My friend loved the pork chops and garlic mashed potatoes but not the green beans. I tried them and agreed that they were good. Setting: flew from Texas for my birthday. Wanted this to be my birthday dinner. Called ahead to make sure we would be able to sit. Got there TWO HOURS before close. They sat us at a table only half of us could fit and everyone else across the room. (We had 8 people in our party). Went for their karaoke 1st Fridays. This time it was hosted by Kandi herself. The drinks were good and strong! and the food was pretty decent. The Cajun Flounder with 3 shrimp for $33 was good. A celebrity-owned restaurant obviously attracted the real singing-singers, so that was fun to watch the professionals. First time here, my family and I came. My dad was in town and wanted to take us out to eat! Got here around 8pm. They told us 45 min wait. Once that wait was up, they called us in. The young lady told us she had to let our server know that she had another party. They then told us to go wait on the patio. The lamb, steak and lobster was covered in unnecessary seasonings that I had to scrape it off before eating. When you walk in the door they have a hand sanitizing station and mask are required. We sat at the Bar and was immediately greeted . The kale salad is the way to go, and the apple slices were the perfect touch. Whats a visit to a seafood restaurant without tasting the crab cakes? You wont be disappointed - very meaty crab cakes - not that mouthful of fried breading that some restaurants pass off. Covid precautions were on point- temperature checks, all staff in mask, very clean bathrooms, and not too many people sitting near one another. I stopped by tonight on a whim and I can honestly say that this Cajun Pasta is DELICIOUS! They didn't skimp on any of the shrimp, crawfish or the salmon. We celebrated my husband's birthday at Blaze and had a great time despite the bad weather. The decor is not extremely fancy but still gives a nice ambiance coupled with the music. They had a few TVs, a pretty blue backsplash behind the bar, leather booth tables, and an area with LED signs and a 360 Photo Booth. For drinks we had an old fashioned and a cosmo to start. My husband ended with an old fashioned and I had Pinot noir with my meal. As former bartenders, the only thing we'd change is that they have the proper, single ice cube or ball for the old fashioned. I know it's super minor but it irks us both. We started with the crab cake and charbroiled oysters. For the entrees, I had the lamb chops with mash potatoes and Brussels sprouts while my husband had the steak with fried lobster and fried rice. We throughly enjoyed the food. We had excellent service throughout from the manager, the bartender, and our server before and after the entire area lost power due to heavy rain. We were able to get our check settled out with no issue and got to have a great conversation with the crew and the table next to us. No seafood to be found in them. Sent them back. Fried calamari was well fried but NO FLAVOR. Kept it because I did not want to send something else back and require the server "to check with the manager". Ceasar salad with chicken had the SMALLEST PIECES OF DICED CHOPPED grilled chicken that it should have been called a Ceasar salad and I paid $8 to get chicken on the salad. Most restaurants give you sliced chicken- not here. AND an 18% gratuity added to a check for two people. My sister ordered crab cakes with a salad for her entree and I ordered the lobster tail with loaded baked potato and Brussel Sprouts. I have to say I was extremely impressed with my meal and so was everyone in our party. The staff: Jaheim was amazing , fun and had great customer service. The manager E. was very nice and great customer service. She bought us all shots to celebrate the birthday girl.They made us feel like family rather than customers. Hats off to them both!
