The food tasted delicious and they only took like 5 minutes to prepare and give me my food overall loved it

I've been to this place about 10 times and they have gotten my order correct MAYBE twice. Young kids working pick and eat at the food with dirty hands. I've gotten my food freezing cold or made incorrectly every time. It's not cheap and takes about 20 minutes to have an order ready so you'd think they try to make it the best they can. I went here several times when it first opened. The chicken was always thick and juicy. I really liked the food and the service. Today's to go order I got a thinly pounded dry chicken breast and raw French fries...still cold in the middle. Too bad this place went downhill so fast. Never going back. read more

So first, the food was really, really good. The reason for the 2 stars was an experience with an employee. I brought in our family for lunch today (6 of us). For those not familiar with the restaurant, you go to the counter, you order lunch, they call your number when ready, you go to the counter to pick up your order, and then you bus your own table(s) afterwards (which is to say that they have garbage cans and a place for your tray). We spent $60 on two sandwiches, two sides, and three kids meals. It is a very expensive place for.....chicken. When I paid by credit card, it asks you if you want to leave a tip. I selected "no". Generally, I don't tip at restaurants that don't provide service. I pay for the food and other than taking our order, we aren't getting a service. The second I selected "no", the woman taking our order became extremely rude and actively made a point of giving me dirty looks. I wasn't sure what was happening until I overheard her telling a colleague that we didn't tip. Naturally, I was worried that our food might be tampered with. Now, I waited tables for four years. I understand service and tipping. I just wasn't aware that tipping was now required at restaurants that don't provide service. And, at Blazing Bird, so much so that you get treated in a hostile way if you don't tip. We were likely going to order milk shakes after lunch but i couldn't stomach the idea of spending any more money there. We went to Dairy Queen for blizzards instead. Would have been another $30 in milk shakes and I likely won't be back. It's too bad b/c the food is solid. While I think it's a tad obnoxious to even ask for a tip at a counter service restaurant, I can forgive that. What I can't forgive is the hostility that follows for selecting "no". I can go somewhere else for fried chicken..... The food was amazing! The chicken was so tasty and wasn't dry one bit! And oh my the fries!! They were tasty!! Definitely recommend going to this place! Such a nice little date spot for my boyfriend and I :)) and super happy to see that they sell fried Oreos here! It's hard for me to find them where I live :// once again this place was great and the food was so delicious! The food was really delicious. You could tell it was freshly made. My family and I came in a little before 8 (they close at 9) we had no idea the lobby closed at 8 so we had to eat our food in the car. Also the service wasn't very good. All the employees had headphones in. The guy at the register was rushing us to order, we've never been there before. He was also drinking a beverage while taking our order. Was really excited to try this place, but it wasn't all that great. The fries tasted like they had been cooked many hours ago. The chicken had a decent amount of flavor (I got medium), but there was almost no chicken. It was a pounded out piece of chicken about as thick as a pencil. The fries were luke warm and the chicken breast was dry and also luke warm. I dined in so I would expect at least warmer than I received. Since this is a brand new store in Arvada it would have been nice to be greeted a bit warmer while I was there I would hope thisplace wants to make it so they would really start asking people how their meals are and seem to care a bit more. Been seeing this spot from the road since we moved here. Stopped in today and was not disappointed. My wife had "the bird - hot" and enjoyed it. I got the "blazing mac - medium" and it was very good. Next time will get the hot sauce as the medium was good but want a bit more heat. Definitely drop in. Service was great, people were great and food was great. read more

I won't be going back- it took 20 minutes to cook a simple chicken tender meal with fries & a drink that cost $20 (!!!!!!!!!) & the iced tea isn't even brewed, it's just a bottle. By the time I got home (5 mins away) my meal was cold. Definitely not worth the price or the time spent waiting. read more

Its a ton of stuff mixed together on loaded sandwiches and burritos and tacos and mc and fries loaded bowls get to choose your own spices great sides deep fried Oreos are my fav definitely for stoners especially if you have the munchies read more

If I could give a zero for this horrible experience and customer service I would, I was just there 15 minutes ago and I was greeted with such an awful attitude from a boy employee with blonde hair. I was super excited to try this place for a long time and this was going to be my first time but he made me feel very uncomfortable and like I was an inconvenience for being a customer to the point where I had to leave while I was in the middle of ordering. He was mean, impatient, and irritated with me for simply just ordering. He raised his voice at me again and again, interrupted me, and had a terrible attitude. Honestly I used to love this place. But it's really gone downhill lately. Each time I get the fries they somehow get worse and worse. This last time they were cold, so soggy and tasted so starchy like frozen fries just dipped in the oil. The chicken sandwich had hardly any breading and didn't taste or seem fresh at all (it was chewy) and was barely warm. And the spice level was off. The Blazing bird is a really good and is located in a restaurant drought on Arvada's far west side. Sides ranked: pickles, Mac, coleslaw, then fries. All were great. The chicken spicy level is a bit on the underheated side. Go one higher than you normally do. The fried Oreos were perfect and are worth it. Also the dining space is fun and open, could really be a great spot for hanging with buds. No beer, but if they added beer this place would overtake my weekly trip to Stuebens Arvada. Those of us who are Arvada locals must support this place or we'll lose another great spot. It's the Fuzzy's of Chicken. To the owners, I would love to see a chicken bucket option + try to get a beer license (even just bottles)! Also, they have a breakfast sandwich, they open at 11 but Arvada needs a good brunch spot. Definitely will check out when I want a late brunch. I really hope we can get these reviews up to a 4! read more

I was a little disappointed on this visit with the wife. Came in employee was very nice and friendly. We both ordered the chicken sandwich and fried pickles. Brought them home and realized they were overcooked and hard. Got home in 10 minutes. The pickles were in a big cup and it was a quarter filled. We got 18 pickles for $5. That seemed like a rip off. I drove up to the location and was surprised I'd driven past it a couple times before. Walking up I was more surprised to find the place completely empty. The fries were subpar but that chicken was freaking hot and I actually liked the sauce mixture they give. I ordered the extremely hot which I later regretted but I am happy to have found another hot chicken place for my comfort food. Especially one where the heat actually has flavor.
