I arrived…read morewith my friends and girlfriend, bringing a party nearly ten people deep, and we were fortunate enough to have our own table for the evening. The drinks were reasonably priced, beautifully presented, and genuinely delicious--an unusually powerful combination in the world of enchanted cocktails. The menu also changes frequently, with the offerings themed around different events and occasions, which gives each visit the feeling of opening a new spellbook. As a witch doctor in search of the perfect concoction to summon a certain deity, I sampled the offerings with great determination. Though the deity remained elusive, the drinks certainly brought the evening to life. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was enjoyable, and the experience made for a memorable night with good company. If you're looking for delicious drinks, fair prices, and a menu with a little theatrical magic, the Capital Room is well worth visiting. Just be careful what you order--the next cocktail may awaken something ancient.

I ordered the Lemon Drop Martini to start. Oh man hat a punch this drink had! My second and third drinks were the Espresso Martini. This was definitely my favorite drink. Amazing flavor. Can't wait to return and try more!!

The ambiance is about half of what this place is all about. It's very Trader Sam's, including a lot of neat Disney memorabilia on the shelves on the walls behind the bar. Dark and stormy tiki bar vibes. The service was super friendly, and the food and bev came out very timely. The drinks were great, and they had a really nice mocktail menu. You can come and enjoy a nice drink without getting alcohol. We also ordered a burger from their limited food menu. It was very good. Not in competition for best burger in Orlando or anything, but the flavors were on point, and bun was nice and soft, and the furikake dusted crinkle cut fries were the perfect side item. Overall, this place was very cool, and if you haven't come here yet, you need to.

The guy was present, but not overly present. The drinks and the food were very timely. The burger we had was very nice, and I love a good crinkle cut fry. Cons: I tried a drink that wasn't supposed to be too sweet, but it was just too sweet for me. And a significant portion of the menu seems to be sweet drinks. Very tiki bar. Tips: Certainly a preference thing. I'm not gonna knock them, but if you're not a sweet drink kind of person, good luck here.

My husband and I have not been to downtown Sanford but recently did come for a friend's birthday. She wanted to hop around different drink spots and have dinner. Since we carpooled, parking was better. We were able to find street parking. There is no designated parking for this spot. We got there very early and decided to stop here. We ended up coming back later with everyone but we enjoyed it. This is a small bar with standing room only at the bar but then they have a huge back area with lots of bench style tables and seating. Their drink menu is also very large with tons of beer options to choose from. They offered a wide range of beers, craft beer, stouts, ciders and more. I am not a huge craft beer fan so I struggled. I ended up telling the bartender what I like and he had a couple of suggestions. He also let me sample one of the ciders, which I ended up getting. I choose the Cider Boys Strawberry Cider. Really great, not overly sweet just very tasty. My husband loves craft beer and will always look for one with a high ABV. He went with the Voodoo Where our Secrets go Stout Imperial from Pennsylvania. It had a high ABV and was a dark beer, he really enjoyed it. Both times we sat outside. The second time we came over, was later in the evening and more full than the first time. They also had a musician singing, which made it extremely loud and very hard for our group to chat. Overall this is a great spot. If we lived closer I could see us coming here more frequently. We do not find ourselves visiting Sanford a lot but if we are in the area, we would for swing by again. If you live closer, I would highly recommend coming here for the vibes, the ambiance and the beers. You can also bring your dogs which is a nice touch. My only negative is there is not food to order. I would love some bar snacks or pub style food. You can bring your own food in but it would make this an A Plus if you they served food.
