It's contemporary and the furnishings are quite comfortable. It's the type of place you can settle in and have a casual meal without feeling rushed. Prices are high yet the quality is excellent. For the first evening at the bar we settled into a high top table. You can sit at the bar, lounge type seating or outdoors on a pleasantly shaded patio. They had an expanded bar bites menu as the main restaurant is closed on Wednesdays... most of it quite enticing. We opted for cocktails to start and I chose a specialty Date Maple Old Fashioned. It was really good with a large ice ball to chill it. For bar bites we shared the pork belly sandwiches (small, delicious but messy to eat), the sausage skewers (amazing!) and crab cups (refreshingly light and easy to eat). After cocktails we had glasses of a light white wine, made with Santorini Greek grapes. For the next meal in the dining room the place was a buzz with activity but conversation was easy without a lot of excessive noise. It's intimate and the room is quite pleasant for a gourmet meal. We started with cocktails (same Old Fashioned) and shared the grilled Brussels Sprouts which were plentiful and ever so delicious. They were slightly over grilled for my taste yet it didn't distract from me enjoying them. We got bread which was a baguette with butter and the consistency perfect for a French style loaf. For my entree I debated between the scallops and the pork chop and went with the chop. I was quite pleased as the chop came in thick slices and drizzled with a tarragon mustard reduction sauce. It was amazing, tender, juicy and at 22oz I couldn't finish it all. It came with a tasty apple sauce and grilled seared cabbage. Absolutely delicious. Ed, celebrating a birthday, had steak which came with a huge bowl of mashed potatoes which I tasted. Oh my gosh, the creamiest potatoes ever! For dessert we shared the cheese plate, a really great way to end the meal, with glasses of a twany port. All of the cheeses from a brie to a hard cheese were top quality. Service both times was very attentive, professional yet personable. We were well cared for and everything went smoothly. It's expensive yet the experience and value is worth visiting. The mashed potatoes or excuse me "potato fucken purée" was average at best. Wife found her Salmon to be mid. For dessert we took the chocolate cake thing, and the strawberry cheesecake to go. The chocolate cake was like a 7/10 and the cheesecake was just like three separate piles of fuckery. Like the ingredients were just piled in the box waiting for assembly. It was the weirdest shit I've ever seen in my life. I should've taken a picture of it. Oh yeah the asshole piña colada wasn't blended it was just on the rocks with a nice paper fucken straw to slowly add some smoked wood flavor to my adult beverage. For $200 (plus tip mind you) this meal should've knocked my fucken socks off. Good lord this place needs some SERIOUS help. I can tell that the cooks know what they're doing but fuck man season the damn food. So in closing 1)season the food 2)ditch the paper straws 3)and blend the fucken drinks Oh I forgot to mention "ambiance". Think of a double wide from the 1970s with the floor vent collecting food crumbs under me then blowing air up my skirt. It was a nice touch.

All I can say is WOW! I was blown away by this venue and it's amazing food. I was a bit hesitant to try this restaurant by the previous review on yelp, but I gotta say I think the person who left the last review is a bit confused. I know Lodi is a bit conservative but cmon, we are in the 2015s. If our city is going to grow and join the 21st century, places like Blend are much needed and very welcome. Great drinks and food in a new exciting atmosphere is all anyone can ask for. I say that if you are tired of the run of the mill eateries and sick of going to chili's then Blend is definitely worth the trip. read more

Was shown to my table and told that Alexis would be right with me. she arrived and promptly told me about a soup special and offerd me a glass of wine or other beverage. This place is very subconsciously racist. All the bartenders are white (just like Blend). Feels…read morelike a sun down town outside of security. Security will comstantly hit on your drunk friends and no one stops them, this is even when the women are clearly not interested. It is extremely uncomfortable. The music is awful, you have to make the best of it. But after going there for a couple months the music is simply catered to a white and latin crowd. I do not hear anything current or relevant when I am there. Me and my gf usually go there because its close and thats it. We are usually the only ones that truly dance and are the reason alot of folks said they enjoyed their time (even though they agree the music and atmosphere sucks- it looks like NY ). We have never got offered free drinks or anything complimentary for attracting a crowd or bringing friends. Everywhere else, this is usual when attracting customers for a bar. Too much staff... It is not POC friendly. I have heard almost everyone I know complain about the demographics and the bad music. I also see alot of DL men hovering by the bar in bulk so I am guessing it may be catered to them they tend to by the most drinks. I have had many friends there make the same statement. Overall, just leave this one alone and go to Islanders. More POC, more diversity in staff, no awkward fake moments with the Owner (who is as uptight as they come), and more fun people. You will likely leave aftera couple drinks.... Thats what they want. They scam and play a couple fo songs so you buy buy buy and leave without dancing or if you do its to 50 cent and Lil John like you in 8th grade Bad business.... Trust me. I dance all the time. I try to be nice to the DJs because I can't tell if their fault or the owners either way. I won't go unless I am desperate. Unfortunately, this business doesn't keep up with the times. No stars from me. Staff is creepy. If you are a drunk woman stay tf away because the bartender or security will get at you and keep bothering you all night.

We were there for about four hours.... everybody left except me and my friend both of us females. As the night went on however, the locals came in. We had some big broad, flipping us off across the way while we were just sitting at the bar, and it got way worse. The two gentlemen sitting next to us were there from work and it was their first time as well. They were pipe fitters and they were staying at adjacent hotel, they were going to give us a ride home. For no reason at all about 10 Cowboys hats came our direction and threatened all four of us. We were backed up against the wall as they all stood up and walked over our direction. My friend and I got up and walked around, my friend kept saying this is horrible. We didn't do anything wrong. We keep asking the bartender what's going on why is this happening ??? My friend asked some guy are you just gonna let these guys jump us? The bartender said she was shutting it down told us that we needed to go around and get out of here from the back.. we called 911,four times!!! and no one showed up. We feared for our lives, fortunately one of the locals told us to sit by him and not move and assisted in getting a stranger to drive us all the way back to our hotel. We were so worried about the other two men who did absolutely nothing and were getting punked by the local hillbillies. We have no idea whatever happened to the two guys. We ended up going to their hotel and explaining in case they didn't show up from work the next day. I highly recommend that no one attends this bar unless you live in that neighborhood and know everybody; it's clear Lodi people should be NOT be recommending it. It's a safety concern at this point. And this probably won't be the last time.

The same guy, Matt, is then up next and racks 'em and then asks us if we are next, to which I respond "yes". He says, "do either of you want to play?" and I encourage my son to get up there and play a game with him. He sinks every ball except the 8 ball and then says" be right back", whereby he then goes and sings two songs of karaoke. Meanwhile, there are now 5 other people with their names on the board and we are all waiting and complaining. He then comes back and in 2 minutes finishes the game. I step up to play my game, and some wire-thin, 1970s hair guy steps up and puts his quarters in and starts racking it, I think of saying something but let it go. I see they have erased my name from the board, so I go back and put my name at the top of the list. Then the drunk guy, comes back and plays with the white-haired guy, who was a pretty exceptional player and fun to watch. Well, that game ends and I step up thinking, with my name at the top of the list, that I would play, but then the old lady who played the first game, jumps in and puts her quarters in and then proceeds to go out back after she racks the table. By then, I had had enough and I put a dollar on the table and break 'em and start to play. Well, the woman, Betty, comes back and says "What is going on"? I tell her that they had already passed me up twice and that I want to play and that she can play next. Of course, the white-haired dude comes in and says, "that isn't how it works, you put your name on the board". I proceed to tell him that my name was on the board, but they erased it and that both of them had just cut in front of me, not once but twice. He called BS and told me it was his table, he was the owner, and his whole 'I am right' story. I said, okay, your bar your rules, but I see how you treat your patrons and "you are on Yelp, yes"? Well, he hesitates and says okay, you should have just said that, and come back and play. At that point, I told him had he listened to me in the first place, I was trying to calmly explain what happened, but he wanted to just come and push his weight around so forget it, I don't even want to play now and proceeded to leave. So then he got an attitude again. I suppose I should have just hopped in the first time it happened and been more assertive, but I was trying to not make an issue of it and let it go. However, it is obvious the owner cares more about letting his friends take advantage of the situation and they felt privileged and didn't give a shit about the rest of the patrons. Not cool and enough to turn me off to ever returning.
