After having lunch at another spot in here, a smoothie seemed like the perfect treat before heading home. They were busy, there seemed to always be someone heading to the counter to order. I got the strawberry banana smoothie & my boyfriend got the mt hood day. The strawberry banana was good, but I really liked the mount hood day. It had that nice blue color from the spirulina. The taste of this one was like pina colada, really refreshing. Will have to get another next time we go & eat here. read more

We spotted this place while walking around the area. My wife has been craving an acai bowl for a while, so we thought we'd give it a try. It's in a space with other restaurants, kind of like a food court. It was really noisy, but there was plenty of seating. We waited about 5-6 minutes before the guy working there said anything. He clearly saw us, said nothing, and continued making someone else's order. Since he was the only one working, some of that is understandable--but saying nothing was strange. It also took him a while to make the acai bowl. It was a bit expensive for what we got, but it was tasty. They use more of a peanut butter sauce instead of actual peanut butter. That part was just so-so, but the rest was delicious. With that said, we've had better bowls from other places in Portland, with better overall atmospheres as well. read more

I've been here a few times now, the first experience was the best and what made me want to come back. If I had left this review after my first visit I would have given them 5 stars, but now after three visits it's at 3 stars. Theres this guy that works there that doesn't even speak unless he is by himself and has no choice but to. Even still, he is so quiet I can't even really make out what he is saying. We walked up to order, took a glance at the menu but we were ready after that, but the girl here this morning was too busy talking to, i'm assuming, another customer that was there just before us, yet he didn't have any food or drinks and was just standing there talking to her. Neither one of them greeted us or anything so I walked a bit closer to the register and looked directly at the workers until finally she mumbles "are you guys ready to order?". Good bowls, can't say anything about the smoothies as I have only purchased bowls from them, but their customer service is severely lacking, and is making me consider trying yet again to find a decent smoothie bowl place. read more

It's $1 extra for whip which is kinda a lot? Tropical fruit smoothie has a lot of banana and mango, not much açaí until the bottom. Can't taste the lavender flavor. It's all overpriced, local smoothies are very expensive anywhere in portland, but this smoothie doesn't stick out from others. I'd choose a jamba smoothie or my own over this. The blend and flavor just didn't hit for $11. I did want to try the Mt.Hood one, that looked epic. Service was good, girl was kind. read more

Fresh juices and delicious açaí bowl! Also has waffles, smoothies, protein smoothies, and frozen yogurt. So many things I wanted to get. Plan extra time for your order as everything is made fresh. I decided on the All In Bowl which was delicious and the juice flight. The serving sizes of the flights were a nice size to enjoy enough of each. I probably wouldn't have been able to drink any larger size. Each was very flavorful! Located inside the Pine Street Market so there is plenty of seating inside. There are also a few picnic tables outside. There are a few ice water stations and also a water bottle filling station by the restroom. You'll need a code for the restroom which was nice and clean with a baby changing station. read more

I called the store 3 times before leaving this review and it went to voicemail each time. Love this store, their açaí bowls are the best. I'm leaving 3 stars because the last two times I ordered my açaí bowl and paid for sweet pistachio sauce, they gave me the matcha protein sauce instead, maybe hoping I don't notice? It does taste very different One time when ordering from DoorDash, the store called me to say they ran out of strawberries and asked if blueberries were okay. So I know there may be some protocol at this store, but it hasn't happened the last two times, and I can't help but feel disappointed. To add another layer, I'm an autistic adult who has a hard time eating, and your açaí bowls keep me fed most weeks. It's disheartening to have to scrap off the top layer of fruit and smoothie to be able to eat my meal. I know it's specific and won't be the case in every customer, but I wish they wouldn't try to "make it up" by using a product I did not agree to. I would really love to keep contributing to this business, but I can't continue to buy their açaí bowls knowing I may not get what I want (and subsequently not eat bc of my disability and certain food aversions.) I was craving an acai bowl and looked for the nearest place that offered one. I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the All In Bowl, which included vanilla protein and lots of toppings. They were generous with the toppings, but the acai base was pretty disappointing and didn't satisfy my craving. The acai was too "watered down" by everything else that was blended in with it. The flavor and texture weren't representative of acai bowls I've tried at multiple other smoothie/acai bowl places. The staff was friendly, but they seemed pretty slow with making smoothies/bowls even though I didn't have to wait to put in my order. read more

I can't believe that the ingredients aren't properly listed on the menu, it is very inconsiderate. Who ever was at the front desk on 4/3 was very rude. She forgot to give me a pager to pick up my order. When I went back because I saw her put my order she questioned me on if the order was mine since I didn't have a pager. She accused me of not taking the pager even though she never offered me one. I told her she never gave me one but she did give the next person once. She proceeded to tell me that pager she gave she next customer was for me and I should have realized that. If you want to come here and have an awful time make sure you come to juice blends. My boyfriend and I came here and we got two bowls. One vegan and one not. They forgot which was one vegan then when I asked which one was vegan she didn't know. She then proceeded to guess and lie to us. Horrible experience. Really dumb workers. Don't recommend. Worst place we've ever been. Terrible açaí. This place sucks. Would give it a zero if I could. read more

I love that the juices are fresh pressed, but goodness were they expensive. We got a large smoothie, but it hardly seemed like that was the case. Not to mention that the lady working didn't even greet me for a solid five minutes. I understand it's a lot to ring up customers and make drinks, but to not even acknowledge me? I don't where to begin with this review because I love this place SO much. I get something from here at least five days a week. I'm pretty budget-conscious, so this says a lot about their prices. An açaí bowl is anywhere from $12-14 and it's huge! It could be two meals. I recommend their peanut butter bowl. It has a signature pistachio drizzle (which I think most of their bowls has this drizzle), and it's to-die-for. All their ingredients are SO fresh. Their smoothies are divine as well. I recommend the neighborhood favorite or the chocolate lover one. They both contain dates which add that extra something special that makes these two smoothies so good. They have a tummy tamer wellness shot that I've had a couple of times when I was nauseous or had sower stomach that cured my stomach immediately. And I have seen Blends cater to large orders where companies and/or biking groups have had large orders of açaí bowls, and they have delivered in a timely manner with a fresh product. But what makes Blends so special is the staff. It's a cute, family-run business. I've gotten to know a lot of the staff, and they are hard working, fun and friendly, and they always treat each customer like family. They are so personal; I love that they have memorized my special requests to certain orders. The atmosphere where Blends is located is a fun, vibrant place located in the Pine Street market food court (not like a mall food court, one of these trendy-type Portland funky food court places). I love how close Blends is to the Waterfront. You can take your bowl or smoothie to a bench on the Waterfront and enjoy the view. They also serve waffles with Nutella!!! You can't go wrong with that. You can truly tell how much effort, care, and passion their team puts into everything they do. I've been a loyal customer for a long time now and have visited all three locations, and I can honestly say the experience is consistent every single time. Same amazing quality, same incredible freshness, and the same top-tier customer service no matter where you go. That consistency is rare and really says a lot about who they are as a brand. Blends Juice Bar is one of the best spots around. Been going there for years now, every chance I get. That new matcha smoothie from their series? Killer! Like... acai smoothie meets matcha foam and whipped cream, straight fire! Also, folks barely mention their frozen yogurt. Thick vanilla base mixed with real fruit plus chunks of more fruit on top, swirled out fresh from their machine, perfection.
