When Michael and Michelle came out to provide an estimate, they were incredibly kind and compassionate toward my sister and me. Most importantly, they were completely nonjudgmental about the condition of the house (think hoarding-level clutter). I felt embarrassed, but they immediately reassured me that there was nothing to be ashamed of; they were simply there to help. Due to some outside circumstances, we weren't able to move forward with the cleanout until April 2026. When I reached back out, Michael remembered us and was just as kind as before. He even honored the original quote from the year prior, which I truly appreciated. Before the cleanout, I gave Michael a list of items I wanted set aside (photos, jewelry, money, etc.). There was also a watch we hadn't been able to locate, but Michael found it! That level of care and attention meant so much. Michael and his crew were not only thorough, but incredibly efficient. In just two days, they cleared out my dad's entire house, aside from the items I asked them to save. I wish I had taken before-and-after photos, because what they accomplished was nothing short of amazing. Which is odd because they were so eager when they had their ad out a year ago and never followed up with my application even though they said they had so many leads. Since then (over a year maybe two years now) they called me three times with false hope. They will claim they have a perfect match but the hire would never go through so my question is do their clients hire people of color? This is a sales platform being marketed as a concierge service…read more The Kandela representative, Jessie Vargas, could not have been more helpful when selling and signing me up for the various services, but when I reached out to her again to cancel one of said services; she was difficult to reach, didn't call for the scheduled telephone appointment we set up, didn't respond to emails, and when I finally did get a call from her to cancel the said service she said she would be on the line with me, providing all necessary information to go through the cancellation process with the service provider. However, once she connected with the service provider's customer service line she transferred me and left me on their hold message for 50 minutes before the service provider's agent picked up the call. She never returned to the line to provide any relevant information to the service provider as she had stated she would. It may be true that it saves time on the front end for consumers by streamlining the sign up process, but any time saved will be wasted on the back end if any issues arise. Again, this is NOT the concierge service it is advertised as and that not only seems deceitful, it gives me the impression that the Kandela representatives are on some incentive/commission-based system with the service providers that does not reward spending the necessary time or effort to actually provide customer service to consumers.

Also I'm pretty sure Kandela sold my phone number to telemarketers because since talk to them I have been getting multiple calls a day from them. After consultations with California Closets and Closet World, we were left feeling unimpressed with both. Fortunately, we came across Closet Factory through Costco, and it was the best experience from start to finish! Naz was our consultant, and she was absolutely amazing--kind, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic. She designed the perfect master walk-in closet for us, as well as fantastic closets for both of my kids. When construction delays on our house forced us to reschedule our original installation date, we were told the next available slot was two months out. I was so disappointed, but Naz went above and beyond to advocate for us and managed to get our closets installed right before our move-in date! Moving into a new house with fully organized closets already set up made a world of difference. I highly recommend Closet Factory, and if you can, make sure to request Naz!

The Highs: Jackie (Closet Designer): Absolute perfection. Jackie was amazing to work with from the very beginning and brought a wealth of knowledge to the design process. Adam (Manager): Fabulous. After our initial installation setbacks, Adam stepped in, understood that things needed to be made right, and worked with us through the back and forth until the job was finished to our liking. He also ensured we were able to address and repair other issues caused by the first crew. Jabrina (Receptionist): A wonderful highlight throughout the administrative process. The Lows: The First Installation Crew: To put it lightly, "they were not it." The initial installation fell well short of expectations, significantly delayed our project past the initial end date, and unfortunately resulted in property damage that required subsequent repairs. Final Thoughts It was a long and exhausting journey to the finish line, but Jackie, Jabrina, and Adam truly were the shining highlights of the process. I sincerely hope that Closet Factory has taken steps to vet and find installers who are more considerate of people's time and personal property moving forward.
