We were starving after a day of digging for diamonds at the crater diamond State Park. Unfortunately, not lucky there, but found this place to be lucky. So, check your bills, because they snuck little charges on here and there. For example-if you get 2 sauces with something they'll charge you $.50 without it stating that on the menu or telling you verbally. With the bon chicken & shrimp, it says with your choice of rice or fettuccine. Due to a glitch in the system they charge you $1 for the fettuccine, which they will take off. Ribs were excellent, bon bon chicken and shrimp were good, but the orange chicken and 4 cheese pasta was not eaten. The pasta lacked flavor and the noodles were overcooked. We haven't been here in years. We thought we would give it a try for lunch. I had the cobb salad. I love cobb salad, but I should have read their description more carefully. This was NOT a Cobb Salad. It had most of the ingredients correct, but that's about it. The worst part was they saturated it in a balsamic dressing that was the only thing you could taste. My husband said his club sandwich was so so, nothing special. The waiter was also so so. I was a waitress all the way through college, so I know how it works. After he brought the food he never checked on us again. They weren't that busy. He finally came asking if we wanted dessert, picked up my plate that still had 2/3 of my salad in it. Visiting Hot Springs for the first time and noticed that The Bleu Monkey was open (albeit with adjusted hours for COVID) while we were hunting for dinner spots. Best decision of the trip. Our server (Josh) was friendly, knowledgeable, and took care of us even though he just had finished serving an entire basketball team. I ordered the Orange Chicken and chased it with a beer. I am leaning more to the three stars because my dish did not look like the picture. The children was more well done or even close to burned. I failed to mention we ordered the calamari for an appetizer. It is nothing to brag about. It tasted like it came straight from a frozen box. The sauce was very bland.
