Well, we went to coat Dior again last evening one of our favorite restaurants and had another fantastic meal. Oscar, our waiter is the best and thank you for great service Oscar. Last night I had the steak au poirve which is always fantastic and my wife ventured out and had the Bronzino, which prepared Francese style, which she loved and we liked it so much that we recommended that Oscar. They should add this to the menu since it was a price fix special. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will return. read more

Really great dinner here! A hole in the wall next to Publix in shopping center but had heard great things so wanted to check it out. We got a bottle of wine and for apps we got the octopus and escargot. For the entree I got the duck and it was seriously amazing! AN OVERDUE UPDATE We hadn't been to this outstanding French restaurant in many years, so we decided to have our Christmas Eve dinner here. Though it changed hands in 2017, the staff and romantic atmosphere remains. We started with two special appetizers: the Baby Calamari and the Mixed Organic Greens. Both were delicious. For our entrées, I had the Sea Bass with a Key West Shrimp special and it was just about the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and succulent. My wife had the Crispy Duck with Glazed Bosc Pears. She found it to be delicious though then presentation was a bit spare; the plate could have used some enhancement. For dessert, the Gelato Quartette (vanilla, chocolate, caramel, & raspberry sorbet with Belgian chocolate sauce) was superb. We visited this quaint and intimate restaurant for our anniversary and could not have been more pleased and satisfied. The food is without a doubt the best French cuisine in Southwest Florida. We had the escargot (sweet and succulent) and mussels (briny and plump) for appetizers. The special veal chop was cooked perfectly and the mushrooms complimented them with and earthly and delicate sauce. The lobster was so light and flavorful it seemed to have been braised in milk. Our server, Tony, made us both feel welcome and appreciated. He answered every question we put to him. We went to this restaurant to see Kevin and listen to his playing of French classics. We had a beautiful meal on the patio. It was very busy but plenty of room. The service was excellent and plenty of staff, which is amazing in this day and age. I had escargot with a delicious purée that was delicious and different from the regular garlic butter, although i love that as well. The next treat was the seared foie that was amazing. So beautifully presented. See picture. Absolutely delicious. The duck for my main entrée was delicious. Crispy skin and delicious sides. We sat on the patio to listen to the music but the inside dining was lovely . The decor nice. Lots of parking as it is in a strip mall. A little noisy on the patio as it is just off 41 but nice seating and plenty of it. Be prepared as it is pricey, but delicious and good for special occasions. I might have overdone it as i had two pricey dishes. I had the escargot, seared foie, and the duck. So more than enough. Took half the duck home and enjoyed it the next day with some of my home made blackberry compote, to enhance the cranberry compote they had, which was delicious. So a lovely meal all around. I was here last year and really enjoyed the top notch cuisine here. They brought some ciabatta bread and butter or olive oil. I tried not to consume too much bread while patiently waiting for the seared foie gras with toasted brioche, glazed Bosc pear, berries, cranberry chutney, Port wine cassis, which did not disappoint. I then enjoyed the crispy duck, but wish it had not come with the same accompaniments and a small portion of a sweet potato purée. But they do compliment both dishes well. For dessert I had their excellent profiterole which has a dark Belgium chocolate sauce and could not have been better! Service was good and I look forward to coming back. read more

Not a French restaurant not for service nor dishes Nov 2022 * Family Waitors are pretentious and unfriendly. For a French restaurant with pricely dishes service could have been at a higher level. Waiters were running around and avoiding our table. Bread at the table was dry and cold, when asked for more bread they brought it fresh. They served olive oil with balsamic vinegar (yes, they call it French restaurant!) Which was semi-dry at the table. When asked for butter, the waiter ignored request completely. My $60 veal osso buco was lacking taste, meat was slightly overcooked, chewy and no famous french souses. The saving piece was polenta, it was decent. Yet the portion of the dish was french (very small). Disappointing experience. read more

This is one of the best restaurants in the Naples area. I didn't expect it given it wasn't located on 5th avenue, which is the main attraction in the area. The service is top tear. From the moment you walk in, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The first time we went, Tony was our waiter and he did a wonderful job with food recommendations and wine pairing. I got the chocolate mousse for dessert and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere inside is very warm and lovely. Meh. I had such high hopes when I sat down. The bread and olive oil were good. They had coarse salt in a pretty dish and then.....I had the mussels and my date had the escargot. Both were in the same rich sauce, while fairly tasty, didn't meet muster. The snails weren't in a shell with garlic butter, which is the best, and the mussels were lost not having the delicacy of a white wine, garlic sauce. Then came the entrees. I had the grouper which was dry and the veggies were over cooked. My date had the lobster which was in a cream sauce that had little flavor. Salt helped a bit, but couldn't solve the problem. We each had two glasses of wine - I was dying for a martini, but neglected to check that they didn't have a liquor license. We got the crème Brûlée and chocolate mousse to go and ate when we got home. Average. Sooo $300+ with tip wasn't worth it. read more

Our server Claude was very professional and knowledgeable, he was the only server however kept his cool and handled the busy night with attention to all tables. Without a doubt one of the worst restaurants in Naples today. We had reservations for 2 in a booth and got neither being told it's season and we shouldn't expect everything. We had verified these at 1030 that day. My daughter ordered escargot, and was served as bright green soup with snails in it, not tasty. She also ordered the lobster and reported it was pretty good but in a sea of sauce and overcooked, tough claws and tails. I ordered grilled artichoke hearts and they were served ice cold immediately up ordering so they are kept in the fridge which the waiter acknowledged, not fresh. I also ordered filet mignon, ordered rare, received medium. The really bad thing was no one came to refill our water or wine glasses, asked how our food was, if we needed anything, etc. or were told that wasn't their job and then didn't find someone to help. the restaurant was barely half full. From the beginning to the end we were treated rudely, even with a reservation, no one checked on us, our waiter refused to give us his name, when we entered we were told that yes we had a reservation but she didn't have the space for 2 people. I highly recommend you skip this dump and go to Bleu Provence for some good French food and waiters who know how to assist people. We just thought we'd try something new and are very sorry that we did. We ordered the chocolate mousse to share and it tasted like pudding. I've lived here 35 years and this is one of the worst examples of our fine restaurants. read more

The restaurant came highly recommended and with good reason. when you first enter, you step out of Naples and into the charm of a French country farm house. The service was attentive,but nothing to right home about. This place however is all about the food. We started with a plethora of appetizers as we couldn't choose. The baby octopus and escargot were flavorful and perfectly tender, difficult to accomplish feats for both. Not even a hint of chewiness. The beet salad was light and refreshing and the goat cheese crouton with truffle essence was crispy subtle, earthy and delicious. The main coarse came and I wish I could comment of the rest of the food but I was to engrossed with the delicious duck. Pineapple with truffle oil, celery root toped with decedent foie gras, the least exciting portion of the meal was the perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, tender duck breast with subtle sweet savory sauce. Dessert was everything I would have expected. The cheese plate had a wonderful assortment and the figs were sweet and a perfect complement. We came here for dinner at 6:30pm on Tuesday, it wasn't packed and I was at first skeptical at how good this place would be. The moment we were seated the waiter brought us warm, steamy bread; I love when restaurants serve you that! We were given a moment to look over the menu and he came back to tell us today's specials. Everything on their menu looked so good, it was a very difficult decision. Hubby had his eyes set on pan seared foie gras as appetizer, I had the salmon carpaccio recommended by our waiter. We both went for the specials as our entrees - hubby had duck leg confit and I had a combo seafood dish. Our food was so amazingly flavorful. Hubby said this was the best foie gras he's ever had and I agreed, we were both reminiscing the next day. With everything so good I couldn't resist desserts after they brought the menu. You can skip this restaurant. It's way overpriced and the food really isn't that good. You can do so much better in Naples. First, it's off season and he charged our group full price. Most restaurants in Naples have some sort of special during the off season. Not here. Maybe that's why the place was empty last night. Without our group the place would have been a financial disaster. Service was decent but considering the price of the meals it should have been much better. The meals sort of dribbled out of the kitchen over a 15 minute period. That left people wondering whether they should start eating or wait for the rest of the group. Everyone at our end of the table left very unimpressed. Everyone also agreed that they would not return. There are so many places far better than this restaurant. It wasn't bad actually. It simply wasn't worth the money. Basically this place is a really bad value. They have very high prices and nothing lived up to the level of the pricing. Our group has never minded high prices. We have been going there over 10 years and we were regulars.. we made a res weeks ago because I wanted to extend my condolences to the owner in regards to his lovely wife passing.. once we got into the restaurant he informed us he only had one table for us.. it was by the kitchen and the bathroom.. we were flabbergasted and just said to him how rude and left.. his lovely wife Darlene NEVER did that to us! Unfortunately can not leave less than one star. We had several meals at this restaurant it was usually a good experience. This time it was very different though. First, the Maitre D' could not find our reservation, then he claimed that it was for 2 people, not 4. After I showed him a confirmation from the Open Table that clearly stated that I reserved a table for 4, he became visibly upset and pointed us to the worst table in an almost empty restaurant. I don't like too much the decoration inside the restaurant, this sounds fake and for tourist, but this is only MY point of view. The restaurant is always full inside, so I guess, all other people like the decoration. I'm usually seating outside. The decoration is nice and warm. It looks like one of this Provence terrace and I feel like home. Remember to relax and feel comfortable as the service could be sometime a bit long to start, specially if you are outside, but when it starts, the service is perfect, personalized and exceed expectations, time after time. Incredible As Always!!!! It was bitter sweet to learn that Claudio was selling the restaurant. This has been our gem for several years when in town. Naturally I was hesitant and reluctant to stop by last week, my husband thought it would be a good idea to wait a while. His thinking was to allow the new owner to "get in the swing of things" Oh boy, I was so happy I didn't listen to him.... I was pleased to see the staff hadn't changed. This was our first visit since the Spring and I couldn't wait. We requested a phenomenal server named Tony whom we had twice before. Our first experience with Tony left us feeling like we didn't know which was better the service or the food. Something about exceptional service stimulates your palette! Well Tony made sure that everything was perfect, the table side presentation of the Snapper was so beautiful, I almost didn't want to eat it. But once I saw the steam come off my Snapper, I decided to take a picture so I could capture the moment... my husband had the lamb chops for the first time and said the lamb melted in his mouth, it was so flavorful and tender. At this restaurant the two appetizers virtually equaled the price of the entree, yet we were charged a splitting fee of $14. There is no mention of this on their online menu and we didn't really pay attention to the restaurant menu as we had already chosen our courses. My other dining companions had excellent meals as well. We thought our waiter had reclaimed the evening with his mea culpa until our bill was incorrect and when we asked for a revised bill, he crumpled them in our face. After all the mistakes he had already made. Now maybe he was having a bad day (I actually said he is having a Cody Parkey kind of day!) and I can usually forgive these mistakes. But crumpling the erroneous receipts in our faces and then having no one from management to greet us as we left the restaurant makes me question if we should return. Let's see... taking inventory here... 1. Marinated artichokes - the flavors of the parmesan cheese, artichokes, and olive tapenade actually made my mother describe it as a "Flavor Explosion". No joke. 2. Foie Gras - I am not a foie gras fan normally but this was so tasty. My dad ordered it with a Sauterne and it was the perfect pairing. 3. Dover Sole - was the special of the night. Light, buttery, not too oily. 4. Filet Mignon Forestier - if you like mushrooms (I do! I do!) then this is the steak for you. I ordered medium rare and it was more medium well. 5. Roast chicken - figs, yellow curry, and apparently another ingredient is "amazing" because that is what my mom and grandma kept saying (or shouting and, alternately, whispering... it was a pretty dramatic scene). 6. Profiterole - I don't much care for these, but the chocolate sauce I could have drank from a mug. It's a tiny restaurant and was packed, so I'd recommend a reservation. read more

Very cozy and atmospheric French coin de la rue. Met some friends here. I was in a mildly worked up froth of antcipation for a great French meal. After all, look at all those reviews! I was disappointed with the experience. I ordered duck. For $32, a half of a beautifully roasted duck was slid in front of me. And that was it. A bit of berries, but not a sign of any accompaniment. What was the duck, my birder friend joked? Merganser? Mallard? A rare, Warner Daffy? Peeping under the perfectly browned skin, there was a mere centimeter of duck fat. So I guess it was a Spa Duck.
