My experience at this Blimpie was top notch. Initially, I called just before 10am to inquire about a larger order for my son's preschool teachers and staff. It was a last minute idea on my part, but I really wanted to do something thoughtful for the staff at my son's preschool. Not only because it's teacher appreciation week, but because they have been working extra hard this week due to staff shortage. They are Rockstars!! Anyway, Shelley answered the call and I'm so grateful she did. She was so kind and thorough in explaining my options. She asked pertinent questions to ensure I placed the best order for my needs. I ended up placing the order on that call after she told me she would be more than happy to accommodate the order and she'd have it ready in half an hour!!!! I was blown away that she could get it done that fast. I was relieved because i really did want to pickup the food well before lunch hour to ensure all the staff would get to eat some on their scheduled lunch. Some go earlier than others so this was perfect!!!! Not only that, when i arrived to pickup my order, the store was bright and welcoming, very clean, and all of the food was ready and packaged so thoughtfully with every detail in mind. Ordered the French dip, got no au jus. Just expect the absolute minimum done at this restaurant. By the time I finally received my order they were closed so there was no making it right. Won't be ordering from here again, this area is full of better sandwich choices. Don't choose this one. I purchased a 3ft Blimpie best blast. It has keep going up in price . 3 years ago it was 50 dollars, last year it went up to 60 and this year is 70. The owner told me that the increase is due to post COVID-19 expenses but I don't know of any other food establishment that has gone up 20 dollars in two years. The owner mentioned the increase of cost for boxes. It's bad enough the 20 dollars increase but now the blast barely has any meat. The owner mentioned it has always been the same but the blast was shared with other people who also noticed the little meat on it. I have order several blasts over the years and it's crazy putting little meat on it given how thick the bread is. Don't bother wasting 70 dollars on a Blimpie blast. Probably one of my favorites regarding sandwiches. The Blimpies Best is really good. Standard line sandwich shop, bread, tell them which sandwich you want and do you want a combo. Nice, comfy atmosphere, typically a little quieter than most places. My go to place for a sub in Meridian. read more

My brother was in town from Portland and invited me to lunch here. I had the special "Turkey Cranberry" sandwich. Very delicious!!! Loved it, plus my brother paid and I collected the stamps so my next visit is a free sandwich. Yay! We sat at the table next to the plug-in fireplace, enjoyed the sunshine and had a great lunch. We have had really good Blimpie Bests at the Main St Restaurant in Meridian, in the past, but the sandwiches we got tonight were not the normal Blimpie! They were very skimpy on the meat, some of the lettuce was chopped ok, some in big hunks. The tomatoes were skimpy and tough to bite into. We asked for extra oil and vinegar, as we always do because none of the stores put the amount that was used when Blimpie first opened and we were pretty sure we didn't get any. All in, the sandwiches were not up to the standard we are use to. I hope this was simply a new person and not a new trend for Blimpie in Meridian. Went into Blimpies on main street today. Of the six employees only one of the males was wearing a mask. The rest of the employees had it hanging from their ear. One didn't have a mask at all and she was the one cutting the meet for customers. Did not feel safe to eat there and took my business elsewhere. Masks are required in ada county. If I could rate the service it would be a NEGATIVE 10!!! This was BY FAR my WORST experience eating lunch!! I counted 4, yes FOUR inept, clearly untrained, slow, careless, and inconsiderate employees of Blimpie/Moxie Java! I will NEVER go back (and I've eaten at this particular location many times). We arrive in line with one elderly man ahead of us who was hard of hearing and only wanted a salad. Yes, it took him a while to get his order but OMG the boy prepping his salad had NO idea what went in a chef's salad, despite having the meat and cheese sliced for him (which apparently when you are the slicer-person, you can't assist with sandwich making; I digress), took his leisurely time cutting the meat and cheese into tiny pieces. It was pain-staking! Finally my turn arrives, or SHOULD have been my turn, but apparently when an older couple comes in wanting salads, sandwiches, and some special gluten free, they can cut in front and be served! To say I was pissed was an under-statement! Yet I got my food, although the cashier tried to give me the special gluten free wrap! So o sit down to eat, thinking my sister was right behind me... NO! Again the ignorant staff chose to help the couple and not put the condiments on her sandwich! She walked away and came to sit with me while I ate a flavorless roast beef sandwich. No one apologized, no one bothered to have any consideration for her as she stood in line quietly! Not even the jerk customers! I can't say enough negative things about this place! I am pretty disappointed in this Blimpie. I was so excited for their new location closer to where I live. I have been there 3 times and every time hasn't lived up to every other Blimpie locations I have been going to for years. First of all, they never seem to have the bread I want (they are always out of it). That's never occurred at any other Blimpie, the service is extremely slow in the drive thru and the drive thru employee isn't friendly and always forgets to put something in that I ask for (Same girl). I hope management will read this and step it up a little with training a friendlier staff and better brains with remembering what was ordered and also make sure that if you have an item listed that you have it in or not take forever on getting it in. read more
