Terrible experience!!! First, our blinds took weeks. When we called, we were told that the installer picked up the box, but there was nothing it. Our blinds must have been stolen from their warehouse. Second, a week or so later, the installer shows up, installs the blinds (which were supposed to be blackout shades) but they they were 2 inches too narrow! The width was supposed to be 34 1/8" (which was on the order form), but they showed up to be 32 ¾". We paid over a $1,000 for two "custom" blinds that clearly were NOT custom. I called the store in Wilmington, DE and they said there was NOTHING they could do. Horrible customer service! Horrible! read more

We've been buying blinds and shades from BTG for more than 10 years, and we're always super happy with them. Most recently we got solar shades for a location where we want to preserve the view. They are a great product and look really cool. We did our own measuring and installation. The sales people were wonderful and helped us design the perfect configurations for seven different windows. read more

Buyer beware. I had a terrible experience with Blinds to Go. I ordered and paid in full in November 2020. After several mishaps with ordering, availability and a sales rep that claimed my phone "didn't work," I was told I'd have the blind in "3 weeks." (Which would have been 3rd week of December). When I followed up again, the date moved to March. Fast forward and they finally installed it on March 23, 2021 and it's a piece of crap. Close to $800 and it looks like something from a Dollar Store. The quality is bad, the components are cheap - everything about it is subpar. The installer was extremely rude and rushed through the installation. I can't get a response from the company. Bottom line - stay away. Good money thrown away! read more

We ordered custom cellular shades in January 2019 from blinds to go for over $500. We have since had nothing but issues. The order was not right/did not fit correctly upon initial installation. Then when it was "fixed" the cords were not correct and we were told there was nothing they could do. Now, 2 years later, one of the cords has snapped. I was happy too hear this was covered under the lifetime warranty, however when I asked if someone could assist us with dismounting the shade I was told it would be $170. The lady I spoke to, supposedly the manager of the store, was incredibly rude. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, she refused to hand the phone over to anyone else and continued to tell me she was the highest up in the store. Waiting for her to send "instructions" on how to dismount. I will never shop here again nor will I EVER recommend anyone to blinds to go. read more

Reading all of these reviews I guess I should feel lucky. Ordered 5 blinds 18 days ago at the Hartsdale location, paid 50% deposit, and was told 3-6 weeks for delivery AfTER the measurements are taken. I'm happy to say that that within 18 days I had measurements taken, the blinds were delivered, and today they were installed. I have nothing but great things to say about the measures/installer, ANTON, who communicated properly with me regarding my appointments, was professional, knowledgeable about the product I purchased, and very experienced in his field. I like to do things in person so I had no phone issues. Once notified my blinds were in the store I drove there, made final payment, and scheduled installation. read more

Very unprofessional. We called them in December, they came to measure, put our order in early January and now its March and we still don't have the full order installed. We have only 4 out of the 14 blinds installed. Such a mess on their side, we keep calling and they have everything wrong in their list from what we discuss with them. So we need all the time to go over our order. They gave us an installation date, we were waiting for them and no one showed up, no apologies nothing. Needed 21 blinds for the house. Erica(manager) worked with my wife and I for hours making sure we liked everything. She never lost sight of the importance of the objective even after hours of going back and forth on finalizing our selections. *They charge $40 to get all windows measured and take fully responsibility for the measurements which is an amazing value added service. **They run promotions so make sure to look out for those as they add up to serious. read more

We went in on Sunday about 20 minutes after they opened (12 noon). We only needed a privacy blind for a front window that has an existing light-filtering blind. We worked with Tamara who did a great job helping us out, despite quite a few customers in the store. We ordered and paid for our shade that afternoon and it was ready to pick up by Wednesday morning. We ordered a room darkening roller shade for a 55" wide window and it was about $280 for the single piece (after tax). It was expensive, but we are pleased with the product. It was pretty easy to install ourselves and we really like it. There are two things I would change: 1) the screw quality was poor. We had 4 screws that came with the blind for installation and they weren't hardened, so they stripped immediately with our drill despite pre-drilling holes. We had some similar (better quality) screws in our toolbox and used those instead. 2) the piece that holds the roller shade chain to the wall isn't great quality. It's clear plastic and you can see the screws inside. I wish that the quality of those items had been better, especially given the price we paid, but overall we are satisfied with our experience and product. read more

Very bad customer service. We went there because of the Everett location. We knew what we wanted. Our sales rep was very confused and kept running around looking for information. After we placed our order we were given a time for a technician to come to our apartment for measurements. He was quite helpful. Next we got a call from our rep informing us that the price was higher than quoted. OK, the installation date came during a snow storm. Postponed. New appointment. Phone call, "I'm in your lobby. They didn't give me your curtain rods" Schedule a new appointment. He came and installed them. One was backwards! read more

After visiting two other custom blinds/shade stores, we went to Blinds To Go based on a recommendation from a friend. We went to the Everett location and we're taken care of by Anies. Basically, the entire experience was positive.She listened to what we wanted, showed us a broad selection and gave us the advice that we needed to help us decide. We were pleased with the price quoted and place our order. Within a few days, the installer came to our home to take the required measurements. We went back to the store confirmed the price and we're given a reasonable delivery date. We were notified when they were ready which was within the date promised. The installer arrived at the agreed upon date and time and installed the blinds quickly and neatly. That's it! We're happy with our vertical blinds and the entire transaction was seamless. For the cost of shades, I expected better service / knowledge by the sales person; and more professional installation teams. Let me explain. 1) We were told we could not get cordless shades due to the size of our windows, while the installer who came in to do the install said the sales person is new and we could have absolutely chosen cordless 2) Secondly, beware of these third party contractors who come in to install the blinds. Our blinds were installed by Debbie from Spinosa Maintenance who badly chipped our wall one of our walls, drilled extra holes on another window, and left scratch marks on a few of our walls - WITHOUT TELLING US UNTIL WE CHECKED HER WORK. She was going to leave and not say a thing. And upon confronting her, she didn't apologize and clearly didn't want to come back to fix anything. I am afraid of even asking them to follow up especially if they didn't seem professional the first time. read more

It took 2 months to get my blinds and numerous snafus along the way including forgetting to process the order after I paid the required half upon ordering and there being a missing blind the day of installation. The blinds are ok but definitely not worth the price. Their installer left all the garbage and old blinds behind and said he's not allowed to take it. Today parts of the blind he installed fell down. Disaster! After only ONE WEEK, a cord broke. We paid dearly to have our blinds installed instead of doing it ourselves. When I called to have them fix the problem, they insisted that WE take it down ourselves and bring it in to send back to the factory! Including the line that otherwise they wouldn't know how long of a cord, even though they were looking at our order! I asked to speak to a manager, and of course one was not available. I am furious and would warn everyone away from this company!!!! I have never written a Yelp review before and certainly not a negative one, but this is awful (and so easily fixed). read more

I purchased the blind and had Blinds to go do the installation. My windows are 108 inches, but the chain to roll down the blinds was way to short. One of the worst shopping experiences in my life. When I went to pick up my order I discovered that they had ordered the wrong type of shade. When they corrected that mistake the second order was cut to the wrong width. When their so-called professional installer came to my house to verify that the width on my 4 shades was wrong, he went nuts. He tossed my couch aside, broke numerous personal items and left my tranquil house a disaster. I visited the Everett store many times throughout this 3 month traumatic episode. Their Management never called me back on a timely basis, when they said they would, to help resolve my problem. Horrible Store. I am disgusted beyond words. Rescheduled our installation last minute and push back one more week because they sent the products to the wrong store. The store is only 15minutes away from another store so basically the installer can just go there to pick it up. Called the store and told me the installer just skipped our appoointment to went somewhere else. Was extremely disappointed from start to finish. After using them once one of the blinds stopped working. They came out once and replaced a battery pack. The next month the one blind stopped working again. The manager wouldn't return the call till I called the corporate office. She then booked an appointment without consulting my schedule and when I told her that wouldn't work she got all huffy. read more

Had an original installation date scheduled June 2. Technician is a nice guy, no issue with him. Went to the store later that afternoon to discuss some issues about missing blinds on my order that tech said was missing. Sales lady said they had them in the back and will let me know when they can get someone back. After 8 days of not hearing from someone I called and left a message. 3 days later still no response so I contacted them again. Told me they would make me an appt for June 28 to install the remaining blinds, but would contact technician to see if he can get me into his schedule, and would contact me "later". 2 days go by and I get a random email saying they will try to "squeeze" me in sooner. I'm sorry, but this is an error on their half. Having to complete my installation 26 days after my original installation is insane. I pay the full amount to only get partial of my windows dressed?? They wouldn't even install without a full payment but won't finish the job in a timely matter. Rude! read more

We have ordered twice with Blinds To Go in Everett. Two years ago, and just received a second order we placed for the addition on our home. The order we just picked had to be remade due to an error - they were so helpful and professional in finding a fair resolution (there was a communication error that was really no ones fault). We were pleased with their service, and continue to love their product. We have the light filtering, black out and fabric Roman shades - they are all exactly as expected and the ones we purchasedover two years ago still look great! New home owner here and have to say, just figuring out this blinds business was a trip. I originally scouted blinds at another of their location's and although saw the good potential of the quality, I wasn't really pleased with the customer service with the exception of the guy who knew his stuff, but it seems like you have to deal with the person who took down your info so I had to deal with her. So... during my pass thru and hoping to take advantage of the sale, I went to the Everett location in which I was not rushed and got plenty of questions answered and one to one focus by Eliandra. Seriously folks, she was very knowledgeable, patient and just kept the business thorough in which I highly respected. In my house I only buy from not only the attraction to the product but the good vibe of the person. I got the product within the time frame she quoted me, installed them and can easily say they are great and what's better again is the salesmanship and hard/humbleness of Eliandra, so I definitely lucked out here. I went to the Everett store after receiving a really high estimate from a competitor. Blinds To Go not only slashed that estimate nearly 40% but gave me much higher end options for that price. Tamra was patient and very thorough in showing me all my options and talking through the best solution for each space in the house. Installation was fast, professional, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend that you go in-store and get a quote - you may just be pleasantly surprised (measure your windows/doors roughly so they can give you an estimate, plus or minus a few bucks once the official measurements are done). read more

I echo some of the negative reviews below. Good service in person but terrible service after installation. We spent $7K on motorized roman shades but one of them stopped working after two months. It's been two weeks and five calls to the store and they still have not sent an installer to fix the issue. To add to the offence every time we call we need to deal with a different sales rep. We have to tell them about the issue again and they promise to call back with the resolution but never do. Very disappointing. read more

They were expensive but well worth it...they look like a million bucks. You can have them installed (it's not free but reasonably priced). I have used Blinds To Go for several years for window treatments for my clients. There are a ton of products available for blind options at this place. My last trip in was good like the last. When I picked up my blinds for my client I was.. eh, sort of brushed off and made to feel like my stopping by might be less than ideal for the guy who waited on me. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. When we were ordering the blinds, it was great, but we needed service for them, and the nightmare began. First, it was a nightmare trying to get in touch with this company. Every time I called, I was given the run around or put on hold for at least half an hour. When I finally got through for service, BlindsToGo quoted me $80 for the technician to come out and take the blinds back to the store to have them fixed and adjusted. When the blinds were ready, Blinds To Go called me and said they would charge an additional $80 to come out to reinstall the blinds. This which was not agreed or discussed at any point in our conversations. The technician was fine, but the entire process with BlindsToGo was terrible. read more

This place keeps strange hours. It is closed half the times the sign says it's open. The people inside are very friendly but the inconsistency of the hours it is actually open is beyond frustrating to me!!! They do have an excellent selection though and great staff. Honestly pretty much the worst customer service of any company I've worked with -- I assume they expect people to buy blinds just once, so they don't even bother to try. The one blind we have is decent quality and looks nice; weeks later, I'm still waiting for the replacement to its mis-sized partner (ETA, per the website, 3/22, but it's now 4/15 and nary a word; #631902, if someone is reading this!). (Both were cut with double the clearance they were supposed to have, but since the windows are slightly different widths, we could salvage the wider blind.) Hold times are invariably 30-60 minutes, the online chatbot does not work, and they reply to emails selectively at best -- only if you have a specific agent's email to which to reply. Nor do their shops have a better way of contacting the center to find out what's up, though the staff are helpful in person (if they say over the phone that they'll inquire and call back, don't believe it). So now we're just deciding how long to wait before we give up and order from a more reliable store. So much for the lure of low prices -- you get what you pay for ... read more

My wife and I just bought a condo, and we had no window treatments. We checked out a couple of companies for shades, but Blinds To Go had the best combination of price and style. In fact, we had gotten an estimate from a company that was twice as much for the same style of shades! Michelle at the Everett store worked with us to choose our fabric, shade style (Roman), and worked up the quote. She hooked us up with Jeff Porter who, with Mike, came over, quickly measured everything, and came back to quickly install our order. Overall the sales team was good and knowledgeable in their products. They were also very helpful in explaining how to measure my window in order to get them the correct measurements since it's all custom order. The sign in process was a little obscure. There is an iPad built into a podium where you're suppose to sign in so you can be called in order, but the sign is so small and wrinkled since it was just a print out from a regular office printer. I was hoping for something larger and more professional. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd go back if I need more blinds or have my current ones replaced. read more
