This store has countless products that you can see in use - you're sure to find one you like from their amazing selection! The staff was helpful and kind. My only complaint was what I imagine is a store policy - to even get a price on a product, you have to give your name, email address and phone number. This was our fourth time purchasing blinds from this Blinds To Go location, and we've had four different salespeople, all of whom have been fantastic. This most recent time, Kimberly helped us out in picking out some faux-wooden blinds for our kitchen and living room and she did a great job walking us through the options and helped us with some design ideas. Blinds To Go isn't always the least expensive option, but everything we've purchased from them looks great, is easy to install, and has always been ready in less than 48 hours. We went to Everett and found everything we were looking for with the help of John. He then referred us to Debbie to come and measure and if we wanted she would install all our blinds! We ordered blackout shades for our bedroom. We were told by the person who measured the windows that they needed to be exterior shades, rather than interior shades (apparently this has to do with the depth of the window and the fact that there is a window crank). We were not told that the exterior shades would fall about an inch from the window - letting a bunch of light in the sides, and completely defeating the purpose of purchasing blackout shades. In addition, the shades are so wide that they hit our bed and don't hang straight, letting in more light. Our previous non-blackout blinds did a better job at blocking light. I do not understand why the person who measured the window didn't notice that our bed would interfere with the placement of the shades, and didn't communicate that the shades would not actually blackout the light. In addition, we contacted the company for help, and were informed that they have a no refunds and no exchanges policy, which I understand if we just didn't like the blinds - but I feel we were misled about what we were receiving and they are at fault here. I asked them to help me find a different window treatment that would be more appropriate and they said they would get back to me in 2 days. That was 1.5 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 star because they did install other blinds in our house that are fine. read more

I have used this location twice and I have to say, from experience working in retail, these folks are a real pleasure to work with. Retail is kind of draining because it's generally boring and doesn't pay great. I mean, how excited can you get about blinds? But wow, the employees in this store really care about their customers and it goes such a long way, I hope they know how easy they make things for us! I dealt with Gloria and Margarita and they were both delightful. Also, the turnaround time is amazing and there is always some kind of great promotion happening. I needed a 4 window wide replacement vertical blind for our living room so I headed back to the East Brunswick "Blinds To Go" because I've had satisfactory business dealings with them in the past. Once again they did not disappoint. I found what I wanted right away, and it turned out there was a 25% off sale going on, too! Salesman Scott Lambertson was personable as well as efficient in assisting me with my purchase - thank you, Scott! I ordered my blind on Thursday March 28th and was notified that it was ready on Saturday March 30th! Wow! Pick up was a seamless process as well, and because I'm a do-it-yourselfer I installed the replacement blind (all by myself!) today without a problem. The installation instructions were straightforward, there were no missing or broken parts and my new blind looks great and operates perfectly! I have bought blinds here for years,I will never buy blinds again from these people. I had bought blinds and I did not hang them right away for about 10 Windows . When we eventually hung them up two did not fit,they were about half inch too big.We took them back and asked them to cut them,they said they could not as they were discontinued.But if we bought more they would give us a discount on what colors you don't make. We placed our order for TWO- just two-blinds on November 24th. Grant it at about $750- we figured this would be a quick turn around. We are still waiting. We should have realized what we were headed for from the sloppy customer service at the Carle Place location. Incorrect information, customer service with attitude, sloppy and disorganized (we were not looking for rose petals and a red carpet but their people need better training- the rep that tried to help us couldn't even find the book of samples) We organized to have an installer take measurements. He, again, gave us incorrect information. He told us that the order would be into the store by end of the day. Apparently, that not accurate because it took more than 10 days to get the order moving. After 10 days of measurements being taken -I called the store. And was greeted with a RUDE rep who shared with me she could not help me because she was too busy and that she would call me back. I waited- 2 more days to get a call back - I had to go to the store because nobody called us to finalize our order. Had I not gone in the order would never have been placed. Here we are 30 plus days later and still no blinds. Its worth the extra money to go to the shade store or any where else for that matter to get some respect. Just had to buy new blinds for the whole house after replacing all our windows. The salesman was very knowledgeable. They will measure your windows for you and install everything (not free, but not too expensive). I was very happy with my experience, especially the part where I didn't have to lift a finger but to pick out the right blinds for my house.
