We have had a wonderful experience with Mike and the team from Designs in Blinds & Drapes! My wife did most of the design herself but Mike (who I believe is the owner) led the install himself. His team was incredibly warm, professional, and prompt. Above and beyond: our young son yanked on the drapes the first night we had them and tore a bracket clear out of the wall, damaging the wall. I was recently looking for a place to get new window shades from. I stumbled across the Designs In Blinds web site through a Google. I visited the showroom on Moody St and the staff there were very helpful. We set up an appointment for Chris to bring samples to my home and measure the windows. These people are incredibly nice and professional. They installed blackout shades in my apartment 6 years ago (which still work perfectly) and when I recently moved, they came to the new place to measure for blackout shades there too (I like to sleep in, can you tell??). It turns out I won't be able to stay in my new apartment so I called and canceled the order and they said that was fine and ripped up the check I gave them for a deposit. For a blinds-selling company, the fact they work out of a beautiful Victorian house was a wonderful surprise and just some brilliant marketing! You really get to see and feel how some of these blinds work with natural light and, gosh, the people here are absolutely wonderful to work with as well. Why would you go elsewhere?! Really, why?! I'd go here over any of those big fancy plastic-looking stores for all of these reasons. I first found them and a few other local businesses that did blinds installation in the area and I have to say Mike and his genuineness stood out for me. He came home for a consult, was professional without being too pushy and encouraged us to visit the store for more samples and boy were we surprised! From the sweet lady who answered the phone to the elderly gentleman, almost everyone we interacted with was professional and friendly. Since then, we've used this company's service twice and Mike has been extremely patient in offering the best solutions for tricky windows and I am really happy with the result.
