I got my first lash lift last Tuesday. I held off on writing a review because I wanted to see what the results were after a week. For starters, the interior is beautiful. It is exceptionally clean and well decorated. Second, the staff was incredibly welcoming! As my friend and I both got the lift done together, we were chatting and laughing. The technician made sure to explain every part of the process and was very gentle. I was a little nervous about someone being so close to my eye but the entire experience was relaxing and fun! Afterward, my eyes felt like I had a natural twinkle to them. I felt and looked more awake! Almost like a deer in headlights... but in the best way possible! I have naturally long lashes and the lift accentuated every lash. A week later and just enough of the stiffness has subsided so that my lashes really feel whispy and beautiful. Would 100% do it again and am very grateful to the people at Bling Lash! read more

I got my eyelash extensions done here and after a week had to come back to get them removed. The application process was painful at times which should not happen. I was left with an irritated lash line the whole week, which possibly could be due to an allergy so I would recommend asking for a patch test before hand to make sure you are not allergic. The removal was also extremely uncomfortable. My eyelids, eyeball, and the surrounding skin were all burning. And to make matters worse the technician did not speak English so she couldn't explain what was going on to me & didn't understand me. Even though I got the lashes removed. There was still quite a lot of glue and white residue left on my lashes which I'm struggling to remove right now, and I have tried everything! The only good thing is that my lashes didn't fall off (well at least for now) Never ever going to this place again. read more

Unfortunately there seems to be a number of changes that have greatly impacted the cleanliness and service quality here. I would not recommend this place to anyone seeking eyelash extensions. When I asked to speak with the owner, I was given a fake number and no resolution. I am filing a formal complaint to investigate the issues here. It used to be a fast, efficient, clean and cheap place to go so I understand the older reviews that were positive but that was definitely not the case for my most recent visit. I honestly wonder if the more recent positive reviews are just from employees or paid marketers. I have been getting my lashes done at Bling Lash since the first week they opened (6-7 years ago) & have never been disappointed. My natural lashes are still perfectly intact too. They really have a great practice & strive for costumer satisfaction. I woke up like this-- Is what I get to say every morning after a lash session with Jessica. I've been to many, many salons and this is my new go to for extensions! I have very sensitive eyes that refuse to open no matter how many times I'm asked to open them. Jessica was very patient with me and took her time to get the eye patches on. I showed her a photo of the shape I wanted and she replicated it exactly! (I'm terrible at taking selfies, but hopefully the photos show how amazing the lashes looked.) I showed Johanna a picture of what I wanted and she gave me exactly what I was hoping for. I will definitely go back for my lashes and will be trying their nail services soon. UPDATE: I've been going to Blinglash for about eight months now and my rating has not changed. I still stand by my review. My lashes continue to look great, Brenda is my girl! She's sweet and gives me great lashes every time. She tells me how to care for them and how to keep my natural lashes in good shape and growing. All the girls are talented, but I have a connection with Brenda and love her style with my lashes. I will NEVER go back here. It was recommended by two coworkers, who couldn't say enough great things about it. Unfortunately, that was not my experience... My appointment started 25 minutes after the time it was scheduled for, and I'd arrived 10 minutes early, so 35 minutes of waiting time total. Then, once the service began, the technician butchered my left eye - not eyelashes, THE ACTUAL EYE. I kept telling her I was in a lot of pain and she tried to tell me that was because I was crying (what??). Finally, I got up to go wash my eye out with water, and pulled a fake eyelash with glue on it out of my eye. And I had to throw away my contact lens because I was in so much pain. Then when I went back to my station, the woman tried to tell me the issue was that I needed sensitive glue. She quickly finished my right eye (while telling me that she wasn't using a lot of glue, so I'm sure the extensions on that eye won't last.) I had NO issue with my right eye BECAUSE THERE WASN'T SOMETHING LODGED IN IT THE WHOLE TIME. Anyway, I went to pay and told them about my experience. They didn't apologize, but they did give me 20% off the total service. However, that $25 saved doesn't cover the cost of the lost contact lens or the cost of the eye doctor's appointment - 24 hours later, and my eye is badly scratched and bruised. I have to put prescription eye drops in it every 2 hours to help it heal. NEVER AGAIN. Don't risk your eyesight by using these people. read more

I made an appointment at bling lash for a new set of eyelash extensions as per a friends recommendation. My friend said she had been here multiple times and loved the service. I was excited because I've never gotten eyelash extensions. So we walk in and the woman behind the desks has us take a seat. She comes over and doesn't ask me what type of lashes I want but instead tells me I should get a J curl length 11 and natural because I don't want them too long. Ok so I agreed because I've never gotten lash extensions, but thought it was strange she didn't want to hear what I wanted. Fine. So now we go upstairs and the girl tells me to lay down. I tell her I've never had extensions before but she doesn't say anything back. I lie down and she starts putting tape on my eyes, putting a pad across my forehead and then pads under my eyes. I would've appreciate a play by play only because it was my first time and I was nervous as is- you can't see what's happening to your own face!!! So all of a sudden my right eye starts burning. I, of course, get nervous and anxious but I wanted a few minutes to see if it went away. The burning sensation persisted so I told her and she says "maybe glue got in your eye" and uses the fan for 5 seconds and says "better?" To which I said "not really" she then moves to the left eye and the same thing happens. So then I tell her that both of my eyes are burning and she says "almost done" I left with my eyes stinging but I wasn't concerned because my friend said that was normal. So we leave, at 5 pm and then around 9:30/10:00pm i start to feel an irritation along both top water lines and my eyes start to water. The next morning I wake up and my eyes are tearing non stop and burning. I lasted the entire day, took an antihistamine to rule out an allergic reaction, and still felt burning and swelling. At 5pm I went to a new lash studio to get my eyelashes removed. No I didn't got back to bling lash because at this point I don't trust them with my eyes. So I spent $141 for new lashes on Wednesday and on Thursday-24 hours later- I paid $60 to have them removed. My eyes are feeling much better now thank god. Overall, I should've stopped the tech Chloe from continuing to work on my eyes but I was told slight burning was normal and didn't know any better. Regardless, be careful. The salon that removed my lashes today told me they normally do a consultation and a patch test prior to applying new lashes to determine if you're allergic/irritated to the glue. I clearly should've went with a more reputable salon and you should too. read more

Ok so I bought a 3pack of manicures from Gilt and I wanted to wait till I finished them all before I left a review. Every time was better than the last! This place is awesome! It's so clean, all the tools are sanitary and new. The staff is sweet and friendly and on my last manicure I actually spoke with owner for quite sometime. They give you a 7 minute massage with your manicure (awesome by the way). They also provide you with beverages and snacks. Great nail polish selection, premium brands. My mani lasted longer than usual. The only negative is the regular price, I don't know I feel like $25 is a little much for a weekly mani, even with the bells an whistles. I had a lovely experience getting a lash lift here! The ambiance is extremely calming, and the staff was nice. This was my first ever lash lift, as I have always been scared of aggravating my sensitive skin and eyes. However, I was recommended Bling Lash by one of my friends after complaining about how my lashes naturally droop downwards. I originally wanted to get the CC curl lift but was advised to get the C curl instead, as she said that the CC curl looks better on longer lashes. I wish I had gotten CC instead, as the C curl made virtually no difference on my lashes. I should have gone with my intuition. Though I didn't achieve the effect I wanted, all the products they used did not make me sensitive, and my lashes look very healthy! Next time I will be asking for the CC curl instead. read more

I really hate to do this, but my experience was not good at all at Bling Lash. I get eye lash extensions pretty often and after taking about a month off, I decided to try Bling Lash (instead of my usual place). Not only was there a language barrier between the technician and myself, but she seemed extremely displeased when I chose the 2nd tier (synthetic mink) lashes instead of the more expensive human hair extensions. Unfortunately, immediately after I left the salon, lashes were falling out. After a few days, I realized that she had glued multiple extensions to my individual lashes, hence weighing them down and making them fall out. My lashes looked terrible with the extensions, as they were poking in all different directions, no matter how much I combed them with the lash brush they provided. The extensions took off my natural lashes off in chunks. I will never return to Bling Salon. read more

Meh. In a city filled w salons that specialize in eyelash extensions, blinglash unfortunately falls short. For me, at least. Really underwhelming results for the amount of time and money spent. My technician seemed inexperienced compared to some of the other girls I've had. I had some Q's that she didn't really know how to answer. I can only imagine how turned off I would be if this was my first time ever getting my lashes done, only to have a tech who couldn't even assuage my most basic concerns. Also, they're doing construction in the building so 2 hours of listening to loud banging and drilling w my eyes taped shut got to be a bit torturous towards the end. I just had a manicure done here. I purchased the GILT voucher for this establishment (3 manis for $45). The service here is phenomenal! Everyone is super attentive to each client. I was very impressed. They offer free 15 minute massages while your nails dry. Also they offer delectable snacks and beverages. My appointment was for 530pm. They were running behind schedule and continually checked on me and offered their apologies. I was beyond thrilled to be here. The decor is very simple chic. This place is amazing - I only joined Yelp to write a couple of reviews for places that have really delivered. This is number one. I used to go to a competitor and was treated rudely, watch escalating prices even as a long time customer and never got lashes as beautiful as at Bling. Not to mention said competitor had lots of loyal customers and instead of treating them well like Bling does, treated them as disposable. I have no need to go into details but that's why Bling is growing rapidly and all the staff seem happy! Anyway, they offer a great variety of lash styles, talented technicians. I followed advice here and saw Bella and Grace, who did an amazing job. Mine always seem to take longer than expected because they are such perfectionists so I say allow extra time so you can truly relax. It really feels like they go above and beyond. I have been going to Bling Lash for a year now and I am in love! I go every month and they never disappoint! I love the new look, new website, and new location. I usually don't make an appointment with anyone in particular since everyone seems to do a great job although some are faster than others but I'm patient and don't mind waiting especially since the ambiance is nice and you get a free foot and hand massage. Bling Lash offers many options in length, style, and material. As for me I have never had any issues with lashes from Bling Lash, no irritation or itchiness, I don't even feel them. The lashes last a long time and you get so many that even after losing quite a few they still look beautiful! I also don't take the best care of them because I get lazy or careless and they still always look fantastic and stay on! I have referred several friend to Bling Lash and will continue doing so! My only con is that they raised their prices after the new location and the new look at 14th street but it's the price you pay for quality. read more

I decided to put eyelash extensions for my cousins wedding but after this experience I won't be going back to this salon again! We went on Thursday being that the wedding was on Saturday. Pros: clean, comfortable salon, nails came out nicely However, the customer service was not good, I wouldn't go back even if it were a cheap nail Salon, extremely unsatisfied for the price. The first time I came in, I had an appointment, waited around for 25 minutes (with several check ins at front desk to remind them that I was still there) then 30 minutes later I told them I was leaving and would come back another time. They were apologetic and offered a free nail art upgrade on my next service. When I came in the second time, the spot mine started 10 minutes late - but the process took 2 hours and 15 minutes! They took over an hour to prep the nails before applying color (think it was just a way to kill Time before the technician was ready- I had 3 people work on me). I have no idea how it could take so long! My nails are regularly done and I didn't have any gel to remove. It was basic nail art, something they said would only take 1-1:15 min. Will not go back. the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because miho usually does a phenomenal job. On my last visit she was poking and pulling at my lashes so much it became uncomfortable. I asked her why and she said "the glue" so 1. They've changed the glue yet again 2. The NEW glue caused my lashes to either stick together or fall off completely. Now, that's an issue all in itself which I only noticed once it fully dried the following day. Anyway, I hopped on the plane and visited the same location (6days) later once I returned which apparently went against their now (5day) free fix policy. The secretary gave me a hard time because I came back a day late and I didn't have an appointment. They usually accommodate people without appointments but because it was a "free fix" it was an issue. They then told me I couldn't get it fixed free and I would have to pay a small fee. Now I'm upset because I already paid for the service which I wasn't pleased with and now they're telling me crap! Anyway, long story short, the owner over heard and tried to accommodate me. The girl she pointed me to obviously didn't want to do it because (her words) " I have a 4:30 appointment) After complying with her superior she did it but did a far from marvelous job. All she did was remove the lashes that were hanging down in my eyes and removed an entire row without replacing them which I didn't notice until I got home. I WILL NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! I used to love it but now I'm just really disappointed and I will not be back. read more

I heard about Bling Lash from a few of my friends who live in NYC in the winter, I absolutely was in LOVE with their lashes! I live all the way at the tip of the North Fork on Long Island, so clearly, Bling was a 2 hour drive at minimum. I decided yesterday to take the plunge and I am beyond thrilled that I did! Looks like I'll be a regular now! I wish I knew my Artists name because she was so gentle and amazing. She answered all of my questions and was very patient. I have been coming here for over a year and am amazed at the result every time. I swear by Grace - she is super thorough, takes her time and is the only technician I will see. I have had others but she is the best. I took a 3 month hiatus at one point to give my real lashes a breather - as they do get weakened and damaged so you want them to grow back a bit. However - the difference with the lashes is so amazing I can't live without them! I was really excited about getting the leafgel- but paying 60 for a gel mani and it be basically gone is frustrating because I feel like I wasted my money. I am a medical professional with eye allergies that considered Bling for eyelash extensions. I was not impressed with the "factory style" setting, "free feet massage" without proper hand hygiene, selling at twice the price a full set of lashes( 100 per eye) but only applying top 50 per eye( barely touch ups at full price); so my recommendations to eyelash fans is a topical prescription "Latisse" or even more simple an eyelash set from Sephora for $16. One star just because the place was so nice! I bought a gilt city voucher for a gel manicure with glitter or French on two nails. I discussed with the woman doing my nails that she was going to do glitter on my nails. Low and behold, I left there with no glitter. She did my manicure and I just figured the glitter would be the last step. Nope. Nothing. It is now less than 48 hours later after getting the manicure, and the polish is already peeling.
