Blink Optometry is one of those places that creates a customer for life out of you simply by offering great customer service and standing behind their product I got a lens fitted here for reading and eventually ran into comfort issues since i was using it mostly for computer work on multiple displays. they patiently re worked it twice and allowed me to test it to a comfortable setting, all at no extra charge. Excellent Optometry office. Everyone is really nice and the doctor is great. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is their prices for contacts. They quoted me over $150 for a 24 pack of Acuvue Oasys. The same box is $92 at Costco and they accept my VSP insurance. You can get the same box for as low as $63 online if you don't have insurance. More than half the price this place charges. I don't expect them to match the online prices, but if they could at least competitive with the Costco prices, It would be one stop shopping for me. But $60 more per box? That's not even close. The inconvenience knocks them down to 4 stars for me, but I still really like the place for exams. read more

The services that I receive from Blink are excellent. Dr. Tran and the staff are friendly and ensure that I am properly informed about my health and care. An example of which would be when I could not drive to their office due to having surgery and it being ill-advised to drive. They patiently went over the cost of care with and without vision insurance with me before I even made an appointment. I ordered a pair of glasses almost one month ago and they still couldn't make it done for me. I called multiple times and the girl always say she will get back to me and always no respond after my follow up. I don't know if they understand what is the customer service means or all the good comments are fake. For me, I didn't receive a good service neither a good pair of glasses. They gave me the wrong prescription and the lab kept delaying. I have no idea how this place works and I will never come back to this place to do my glasses anymore. Please try another place, I don't recommend you to visit this place for anyone. The customer service is horrible here. There's a guy called tree he is the worst person I've ever seen. When you buy he's good when you finish he change his face. He is in the office adjusting the frame but if you let him adjusting your frame your frame will not work anymore. Our optometrist of 25 years retired in 2021. My wife and I, based on our zip code, were guided to Blink by our insurance provider. Our prior optometrist was in Newport Beach; to find this practice exactly one mile from our home was great! Being a former military and current commercial airline pilot, I've been receiving annual eye exams since 1981. I had my first exam with Blink 2 days ago; this examination was the most thorough and most comprehensive eye exam I have ever had. Beginning at the front desk...Jennifer handled the check-in and administrative requirements efficiently and proactively. Subsequently, I was handed off to optician technician Dylan to begin my first battery of tests and assessments. Dylan brought great enthusiasm to his part of my initial exam. He actively encouraged feedback to his tests and assessments and provided positive reinforcement as we marched steadily through the exams. I was very impressed with the high tech gear used for the exam. Dylan did offer a specific test that involved taking unique, layered photos of your eyes and stated that it would be an additional charge to my visit if I was so inclined, which I accepted. After completing Dylan's exam, I was turned over to Dr. Wendy Tran. Simply put, my time with the Doctor was time well spent. Her occupational assessment interview was outstanding, definitely the best I have ever had. She provided an understandable review of her findings and of the eye pictures. I really sensed that her practice was styled to never give you the feeling that you were a number, that the health of your eyes was paramount and that if you required corrective lenses, you were going to get a pair of glasses that would precisely meet the demands of your occupation and be stylish. By the way, her husband is the optician and the glasses are done right on property. The practice is entering its 26th year in the same location. As much as I respected and appreciated the staff and talents of our prior team, to have this incredible team one mile from our home is our good fortune. Dr. Tran is the most skilled and best equipped optometrist I have ever encountered in 55 years of getting my eyes examined. She has a pleasant and engaging personality. She took the time to explain my test results at length. Her staff were also very nice. They have on optician and a lab on the premises. For the last three decades, I routinely used the optometrists at various Costco stores. Because of my inability to adapt to monovision, I gave up contact lenses and switched to glasses fifteen years ago. Since then, I have frequently experienced problems getting multi-focal prescription glasses which would allow me to read my computer screen without having to tilt my head from one side to the other in order to get good focus from just one eye. Over the years, I have had to get at least half a dozen pairs of glasses remade. In one instance, I had to undergo a repeat exam before I could finally get pair that worked. By contrast, Dr. Tran provided me with a prescription which worked perfectly for me the first time out. Moreover, the examination and testing afforded to me by Dr. Tran and her staff were the most comprehensive that I have ever experienced from an optometrist in my life. Because I have glaucoma, type II diabetes, and high blood pressure, I usually see an ophthalmologist twice a year. I go through an extensive battery of tests (including dilation and getting photographs of my retinas taken every year). Until I saw Dr. Tran, however, I had never even heard of Optical Coherence Tomography. The composite views she was able to get of my retinas were incredibly detailed and offered far more information about their condition on the cellular level than anything which one could discern from regular retinal photography. She was kind enough to provide me with a copy of the images which I have forwarded to my ophthalmologist. If the ophthalmologist's office does not have such a machine at their premises by the time of my next visit, I am going to have to find myself a new ophthalmologist who is at least as well-equipped as Dr. Tran. Dr. Tran has a far more rigorous academic background than most local optometrists. She obtained her doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley in 1991. I should assail her for that since I went to Stanford as an undergraduate, but I cannot really blame her since my alma mater does not have a School of Optometry. Blink Optometry has a wide selection of frames many of which offer an extremely generous warranty. My son purchased an inexpensive set of frames and lenses with certain upgrades which were within the limits of his HMO insurance benefit. No one tried to upsell us on anything beyond what was covered by insurance. Six months later, my son stepped on his glasses on the floor of his bedroom and destroyed the frames. Because they had been purchased within the last year, however, he got new frames at no cost even though the damage was caused by abuse rather than an inherent manufacturing defect. I was thrilled! As if that were not enough, Dr. Tran just became one of the first optometrists in Orange County to stock the brand new Bausch + Lomb ULTRA® Multifocal contact lenses for astigmatism which were released this summer. I may FINALLY be able to go back to wearing contact lenses! I seldom make recommendations about any service provider. In this instance, however, I can sincerely and enthusiastically promote the virtues of "getting your eyes examined" by Dr. Tran. P.S. When I sought to schedule an appointment for a Wednesday afternoon, I learned that Dr. Tran was unavailable because she volunteers her time at homeless shelters and similar facilities every week offering free eye exams to the indigent. read more
