I came in for a simple eyebrow wax and was assisted by a woman who is often at the front desk. Before we even started, I showed her a photo of my eyebrows from a previous appointment and explained that it was the exact look I wanted. Instead of listening, she immediately told me, "No, you don't want them too thin." That response caught me off guard because they are my eyebrows and the photo I showed her was literally a previous result that I was happy with. Rather than listening to my preferences, she repeatedly told me what she thought I wanted and seemed annoyed whenever I tried to explain otherwise. As I continued trying to communicate the look I was going for, she became visibly frustrated and said, "I'm going to find someone else for you." She then left the room, returned alone, and told me, "You know this is just waxing. This isn't permanent makeup." At that point, I was confused because I thought she was getting someone else who could better assist me. Instead, she expected me to continue the service after dismissing my concerns. When she told me to lay down, I declined. I went to the front, paid, and politely explained that I felt the situation was unacceptable. As a loyal customer who has supported this business , I expected basic professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to take my business elsewhere. The only reason I continued coming to this location was for Kim's pedicures anyways, which have always been great. However, based on today's experience, I can no longer recommend this salon. Customer service starts with listening to the customer, especially when they're clearly explaining what they want. Today, that simply did not happen.

I visited early Saturday afternoon and was surprised that the salon was not very busy. Since it was my first visit, I told him I was new. He asked me to choose a pedicure, and I selected the Pomelo Pedicure. He then directed me to a book to choose a color. Because the selection appeared limited, I asked whether those were the only colors available. He replied that they were the dip-powder colors, although I had never requested dip powder. After I clarified that I wanted regular polish, he directed me to another display. I was surprised to find several nearly empty or dried-out bottles, which made choosing a color difficult. I was then directed to a chair, where my technician noticed nail dust covering the seat and adjoining table from a previous service. She wiped the area with a towel before I sat down. My pedicure was okay, but it felt rushed and did not seem to include everything I remembered from the Pomelo Pedicure description. When I received my ticket at the end of my service, I realized I had been given and charged for the less-expensive Express Pedicure instead. I mentioned it to the associate who checked me out, but I am unsure whether she understood my concern, so I decided not to pursue it further. On the positive side, I now know the Express Pedicure would be a convenient option when I am short on time. I am willing to give this salon another try to determine whether this experience was an exception or the usual standard.

Still my go-to nail salon after 3 years and I continue to feel more welcomed each time I come. I…read morehave recently switched from getting gel manicures to dip powder manicures and I love it. It keeps my nails strong and I'm able to enjoy them at a longer length. That is, until it keeps me from typing, which I do a lot of at work. The polish never chips and I always get compliments on them. Ken and Hanh are still great. They do a great job at maintaining the flow of getting customers in. I personally have no problem when they are too busy to work me in. I don't like feeling rushed out and not getting quality work or service anywhere. I'm sure their other regulars and employees appreciate this as well. Oh Lisa, Tina, and Lulu are still there and I like seeing familiar faces when I frequent a business. No fancy chandeliers or water fountains here but what you will find is a great friendly neighborhood feel. I hear them greet their regulars by name all the time, myself included. They are currently going through some expansion at the moment. I am happy to see their business growing and am looking forward to the upcoming renovations.

I appreciate that I was asked the pedi I wanted when I checked in (rather than feeling pressured when I was already in the chair) and he didn't try to upsell me when I selected the cheapest. I've had the pleasure of being serviced by Brian a couple of times, and he's been amazing every single visit. From transitioning from tips to dips on my natural nails, to a solid color and even a fun cowboy design for my sister's milestone birthday out of town--Brian nailed it every time. He's personable, skilled, and always makes the experience enjoyable. One weekend, I brought my son in for his very first mani-pedi, and he absolutely loved it. Daisy took great care of him and made the experience memorable. That same day, I had Sandy for my fill and Kate for my pedi. Kate was fantastic--gentle, attentive, and made me feel relaxed throughout. However, I wasn't too pleased with the service from Sandy. Some of the comments made during the appointment left me feeling uncomfortable, as if I couldn't speak up about what I didn't like on my nails. I'm never one to complain and I truly appreciate the work all the techs put in, but that moment--especially since it was meant to be a special outing with my son--felt a bit flustered. I'm willing to give this salon another chance, because it was the first one I've been to that I actually felt comfortable in. I'm just getting frustrated because every salon I've been to I've had issues with my nails within a day or two.
