I wish I could rate different aspects separately because there are some 5 star qualities but then there are some 1 star qualities. For me, the service is 5 star. I get a no frills cleanup at a minimum frills price. The problem is getting the service. The last two times I've tried to get service, there wasn't anyone available to do me both times and I was there 2hrs before closing one time and 1.5 before closing this last time. Had to come back and update my latest review! Ok so I call and make appointments during the day because I work from home. I specifically schedule around meetings. I scheduled my appointment with Nancy for a Monday at 3pm. I arrive at 2:55 and the guy at the front tells me I am late and my appointment was at 2:30. I know for a fact I would not schedule an appt during the time of a standing meeting that ends at 2:30! On top of that I was calm, but irritated and asked if they could squeeze me in because this is the 2nd time they have "incorrectly" entered the wrong time. The guy started raising his voice at me, yelling I missed my appt. Lol! I had to 5 4 3 2 1 and breathe in and out. I did not want to curse this man out on a Monday afternoon. I have been going for years because I am loyal and they are close to me. However the customer service is lacking, the polish skills are average at best, and they don't take true accountability for their mistakes. The nail tech proceeded to rip my overlay off severely damaging my nails (which was the purpose of the overlay). I had to request to soak them off. I told them I am not coming back. I will start off with the pros: 1. Clean 2. Modern with nice decor 3. Friendly technicians Cons: 1. I made an appt with a certain technician and she was late so my feet soaked for quite some time before she got there. 2. I treated my mother to a pedicure as well for her Christmas gift and the technician cut her foot open while doing the callous treatment. 3. He claims he didn't see it but that he put neosporin on all clients over 40 just incase their skin is sensitive. 4. I got a full set that day and the technicians next client came in so my full set ended up being rushed. 5. It's been 6 days and I had to go back to get my nails touched up because all of the corners are lifting up. I called to speak back with the manager about my moms foot and it happens to be that the technician she had is supposedly the manager. He claimed he didn't see or know that he took a piece of her skin off. Apologized and offered to call my mom. While apologies are appreciated it does nothing for the over $200 I spent that morning including tips. I'm underwhelmed by the services that have been received and will be looking else where to keep up my nails. read more

The pedicure wasn't bad but the manicure wasn't up to par at all. The paint chipped later that night on the same day I got it done. There was a rippling effect on one of the nails. I was also was able to see the first coat of paint because it wasn't completely covered. I felt wasn't given the proper manicure. Just a hot mess. It didn't even last two days. read more

They did an amazing job on my eyebrows and my pedicure! A little pricey, but not too bad. The only thing is, is there's a $25 up charge for gel polish which I didn't end up getting. But, pedis start at $25 and go up to $100 depending upon what you want and eyebrows are around $10. read more

This shop is amazing! It's nicely decorated and clean. I went in for a pedi. My sister referred me here, so this was my first time. The staff caters to your needs, they are professional, and my toes look great!! Even for the SHREK feet that I have, they still look cute! Lol! And they have WINE!!!! And with me sipping on wine, made me wanna spend more $$$!! I also purchased eyelashes. Just strip lashes. I'm new to this eyelash stuff and since I'm headed on vacay, I thought I'd try them so I could be SUPER CUTE!! They were $15.didnt burn and I thought the looked nice... but I took them of the next day!! I don't think lashes are for me. Just felt weird. The prices aren't bad. Not happy with my experience here. I called in the morning (around 11 or so) to find out if I needed to make an appointment; the woman on the phone said I should since they were busy and she set me up with a 3 o'clock appointment. I arrived around 3:03 and had to wait about 15 minutes before I was put in a chair, and then another 5 before the nail tech came over. When I went to put my feet in the water they were nearly burned by how hot it was. The woman (I think possibly the manager) apologized and adjusted the temperature. My nail tech did a decent job painting my toes, however, she tried to give me a spa pedicure when I wanted a basic pedicure, and she almost put the wrong color on my toes as well. I definitely will not be returning to Bliss and will continue my search to find a good nail salon in Waldorf. (The service I received was only for a pedicure.) read more

I visited and got a mani/pedi. Cost: $42. The facility is very nice and the people are very nice. I love that the location is large and not cramped. Leo did my nails. He was extremely nice & happy to chat or be quiet. He rushed though and there was no one else in there - so, no reason to rush. I left with nail polish on my fingers that I had to clean up when I got home. I called them, though, to give them feedback and I think they're very open to it. I would try the place again. It wasn't super expensive, but I did expect them to take their time during a $17 basic manicure. read more

Took my mom there on June 3, 2017 for the first time. The lady did a poor job on her feet first, then instead of charging her to wax her entire face, she was charged $20 for her eyebrows and chin, $8 for her lip and $17 for her neck which had 3 strands of hair. $40 for gel polish which has already began to chip after 1 day. I love Bliss Nails and Spa. They have excellent customer service and "Ann" is phenonimal. Actually all the staff are good. I personally have been a customer of Anna for many years. I have tried other staff members and they gave me the same quality care and service. The shop is clean and they take their time and give you quality service. They do it all. I never have any nail breakage and they last for 3 weeks.. I normally get the GEL nails..and MOOD polish. I get compliments all the time about my nails. They even do the CHROME nails too. This was my first time at Bliss, it was recommended by a friend. My mom was looking to have her eyebrows shaped and darkened. She has never done anything to her eyebrows except pluck the occasional stray. Her eyebrows are heavy but sparse (if that makes sense) and straight with no natural arch. Nancy helped us and did an amazing job of creating a natural looking arch and thinning her brow. They had 3 colors of henna a light brown, dark brown and black. They can customize the colors by mixing them as well. My mom has jet black hair but we decided to do a lighter henna (mix of light brown with black) so it wouldn't be too much of a shock for her. Unfortunately the henna was left on a little too long and it came out darker than she wanted or was used to. But frankly I think it looks really good now that I've gotten used to seeing her with eyebrows. In fact it looked so good I had Nancy henna mine as well and I love it. It should last 7-10 days depending on how oily your skin is and how much you wash or scrub your face. It was $35 for henna and $10 for the shaping. read more

Visited for the first time for a basic mani and had a very pleasant experience. Staff is very friendly and aims to please. I noticed a lot of multi-tasking which may disappoint some but they do strive to be accommodating. I paid $18 for a basic mani (I miss the days when you could find a $12 mani) which is standard pricing for decent nail shops in the area. The technician took his time and I was pleased with my nails. Horrible! First when we arrived a young lady approached us and asked what we wanted, once we told her she started telling us the costs, repeatedly!! Finally we said okay thanks. Continued to walk to the pedicure area, she asked that we make a polish selection, after reviewing their scarce selection, I decided French please. We sat down. They ran the water, she started clipping my cuticles, I requested that she not do any cutting. She put her unsanitized tool away. 1 seconds later she pulled it out again. I again said no thank you?, please no cutting. She put it away again. I then asked what comes with the pedicure because I would like a massage component. She handed me a menu, unmade my selection, she then said $70, I said yes okay, while nodding yes. She then pointed to the $70 on the menu. I said thank you I can read. She took the menu and spoke in Vietnamese and said $70. I then said " I know it's $70, I have money" she picked up the cuticle cutter again, and I said "ma'am I'm done. What do I owe you." She again started speaking Vietnamese and went to her manicure station. Someone else came over, I then told her "I'm done, please give me my total" We paid for our unfinished pedicure and left! Great customer service but eyebrow service was awful after I took off the eyebrow makeup my right eyebrow was extremely slimmer than the left. I'm going to have to wear eyebrow make up until my eye brow grows back. I wouldn't recommend the eye brow treatment especially for the price. read more

We made appointments to have manicures. We waited 20 minutes until we were told that they didn't have anyone available. I explained how we had appointments. Ten minutes later a woman in charge said 2 people decided to have manicures in addition to their pedicures. I was taken back by the "oh well " attitude. I was also informed they have to take walk ins. I inquired again that we had appointments. After 38 minutes they took one of us. After 53 minutes of waiting they said they were ready for me.
